Chapter 813: Showing Off Tickets
Therefore, Master Zhai was now attempting another way. After all, he failed to persuade his grandson. Maybe he would have better luck convincing the Jian family.
“No rush, no rush,” Grandpa Jian replied. “Your grandson is only twenty-two years old. My oldest grandson is already thirty-one years old. Do you see me being in a rush?”
Upon hearing this, Master Zhai thought to himself that if he had eight grandsons, he wouldn’t be in a rush either!
However, he only had one grandson!
In fact, the entirety of the Zhai family was made up of three people! On the other hand, the Jian family had more than a dozen members!
However, Master Zhai was not disheartened. He continued to attempt to convince Grandpa Jian: “I just want to embrace my great-grandson. Yiling’s so adorable. Although my grandson isn’t that great at anything else, at least his face is decent. Therefore, if they were to have a little baby, how cute would that be?”
Upon hearing this, Grandpa Jian was a little moved.
After all, they were both individuals that had half their foot in the coffin already. Therefore, their thoughts were similar when it came to some aspects. Both of them wanted great-grandchildren.
However, Grandpa Jian’s thoughts did not lie on his granddaughter. Instead, he went to call his oldest grandson who was currently at work. He ordered him to leave work early to go on a blind date.
Upon hearing this, Jian Yuncheng’s face was filled with confusion. Why did his grandpa want him to go on a blind date so suddenly?
And thus, there was another task added to his already busy schedule.
###
Wen Ruo’s internship was going incredibly well. In the past while, she learned a lot from Ada.
This weekend, XDL was holding a fashion show.
As one of the top international brands, XDL’s fashion shows were always highly anticipated by the public.
Celebrities, idols, and other public figures would all gather there.
Ada gave Wen Ruo two tickets to the fashion show. Furthermore, both of those tickets were located near the front of the show.
It was rare for interns to get tickets to the fashion show. Therefore, it was obvious that Ada thought highly of her new assistant.
When Wen Ruo returned home, she handed one of the tickets to Cai Qinyue. She wanted her mother to pass it on to Wen Nuan.
Cai Qinyue immediately understood her daughter’s intentions.
To an extent, being given these tickets meant that her daughter’s abilities were recognized in the company. Furthermore, her talent was valued by her supervisor.
Therefore, Cai Qinyue showed off these tickets on her socials. She wanted to let everyone know that these were staff tickets. They were different from tickets that were obtained through other means.
Then, she headed to Wen Nuan’s studio.
Wen Nuan’s studio was located in a secluded area.
As she did not accept many orders, she wanted a location with a good environment. This meant that busy and lively places were not suited for her.
There were only two to three other employees in the studio. Furthermore, one of them was there to do odd jobs.
Cai Qinyue took a look around when she entered the studio.
Then, she smiled as she walked up to Wen Nuan: “My daughter’s company gave her these staff tickets. As she knows that you recently established a jewelry design studio, she thought that it would be a good opportunity for you to attend the fashion show. Therefore, she asked me to bring you this ticket.”
However, Wen Nuan held a grudge. She remembered what happened last time.
“Sorry, I don’t need it,” Wen Nuan replied. She didn’t even glance at the ticket.
Cai Qinyue: “A Nuan, my daughter only got two tickets to the show. She specifically asked me to hand one to you. I didn’t even get a ticket. Why would you ignore her good intentions like this?”
Wen Nuan: “Good intentions? Well, I’d like to thank her then. If she really had good intentions, why did she announce to everyone that my daughter was Dr. F.S. in the first place?”
Cai Qinyue: “How long has it been? Why are you still holding on to that matter?”
