Chapter 1400: What If One Day You Got Tired Of Me
“Exactly, they had no reaction. A first partner and a partner whose mark is over her heart. These two watched Sandy accept seven new partners with no reaction at all. They didn’t exhibit even the slightest bit of unhappiness.” Lea chuckled as he looked down at Gu Mengmeng in his arms. “Tell me, if it was Elvis and I, what would have happened?”
Smiling, Gu Mengmeng replied without even the need to think, “You will both fly into a rage?! If the two of you knew that I was accepting partners for the sake of the tribe, you would probably destroy the entire tribe and then tell me ‘alright, there’s no more tribe now and so no need to maintain social stability for it.’ Hahaha, I think it should be like that?”
Gu Mengmeng bare her fangs and waved her claws in an imitation of Elvis and Lea flying into a rage. She felt she was being rather humorous and so giggled non stop at herself.
But Lea and Elvis didn’t smile at all. They just nodded. “Mmm, it is entirely possible we would behave as such.”
The atmosphere was so awkward. Gu Mengmeng choked out another couple of dry laughs before she found herself unable to laugh anymore. She pursed her lips. “So? This… what are you trying to say?”
Lea said, “Elvis is also a first partner like Bode. He would force himself to accept it if you really liked the new male you chose. But if you didn’t like that male and was only partnering him because you had no other choice, he would rather die than allow him to enter this family. Collin’s mark is over Sandy’s heart and he is someone that Sandy has liked for many years. He was also Sandy’s partner before Hodgson, and the strongest and most favored male. If he wished to stop Sandy from forming a marriage alliance with the wolves, Sandy would definitely ignore his objection and insist on accepting those new partners. But we chatted with Bode and Collin during the few days right after Sandy partnered those wolves. We asked them why hadn’t they objected to this in the first place? Guess what did they say?”
Gu Mengmeng tilted her head. She had also wanted to ask that question. Even she herself had tried to dissuade Sandy from forcing herself to accept that marriage alliance, but Bode and Collin had remained silent on that subject from beginning till end.

Lea said, “They told us that Sandy is a female.”

Lea shook his head. “Just those four words. Sandy is a female.”

Lea sighed. “Females are the head of the household. Males should not interfere and can only comply with whatever she wants to do. Lea’s gaze drifted over to Gu Mengmeng’s ear. He smiled. “How daring must I be to dare threaten you and willfully force you to do things you don’t like to. I even took it for granted that you would turn around and try to placate me….it is a very dangerous thing to be overly conceited just because one is the object of affection now. When I am in your favor, of course I can say anything I want, but what if one day you got tired of me… tell me, what would become of me?”
Gu Mengmeng more or less understood the situation now. These two fellows were feeling threatened by Sandy’s partnering matter.
Smiling, she hugged Elvis and Lea and gave them each a kiss. “Everyone’s situation is different…”
