Gu Mengmeng smiled gently, “Do you want me to call Lea over to help you?”
Elvis shook his head gently, then kissed Gu Mengmeng’s forehead softly, “I am your first partner, so I must have the ability to protect you on my own.”
Gu Mengmeng knew, males have male dignity.
In the beast world, they had to have the ability to catch prey and fight enemies.
In the present world, they had to have the ability to protect their own women.
She could not prevent Elvis from doing that, for he was a wolf, not a pet dog she was keeping by her side.
She would never chain him on a leash used on dogs, making him wag his tail pitifully by her side.
She hugged Elvis by the neck, gently kissing him, “Be careful.”
Elvis nodded, then kissed Gu Mengmeng’s lips again.
He let her lie down to rest for a moment. After all, the poison in her body had not completely dissipated.
After adjusting the blankets for her, Elvis turned to leave, holding Harold’s head in his hand, taking bloody footsteps out of the room Gu Mengmeng was in.
Gu Mengmeng no longer resisted against the poison in her body, letting herself relax and slowly fell asleep.
When she awoke, the four males in her family had all gathered by her bedside.
“Drink some water.” The moment she opened her eyes, Elvis helped her sit up, delivering warm water to her lips, warmly helping to hydrate her dry throat.
