Chapter 1458: Gregory Is Quite Meticulous

“If you’re unwell, then say it, you don’t have to put up a brave front.” Gregory frowned. He was only a third-level orc but his tone sounded so wise that Gu Mengmeng wanted to shout, “Master is right for scolding me.”

Gu Mengmeng laughed, “I am merely not used to this height, causing me to not have much strength. It’s really fine, I can just endure it…”

Gregory did not say anything else and just looked at Gu Mengmeng silently.

He remembered that when she drank a slightly scalding hot water in Sauder, she would stick out her tongue miserably and complain to Lea. Lea would then hug her and blow air to cool her tongue or comfort her with all sorts of ways.

When she was using tree vines to make a praying mat and had accidentally injured her fingers because of the spikes on the vines, causing her fingers to bleed just one drop of blood, she would say that she was worried that the spikes might enter her blood vessels and burst through them. As such, Elvis would frown and before he could scold her, she would first pretend to cry. With her shoulders moving up and down, and her fingers reaching out, she would cry out in pain. Even though she did not shed a single tear, Elvis would still feel sorry for her and hug her tightly to comfort her. All the reprimanding words would be stuck in his throat and all the tree vines that Gu Mengmeng was going to use had to first be removed of all spikes personally by Elvis.

Such a Gu Mengmeng was actually telling him “she can endure it.”

Gregory placed Gu Mengmeng down, then flew back into the snowstorm.

Gu Mengmeng did not know what had happened to Gregory. She had already tried her best to not bring her any trouble, yet why did he still seem displeased?

Sigh, as a family, they still needed time to get to know each other.

Gu Mengmeng did not have much energy left. After Gregory left, she did not force herself anymore and directly fell asleep by the fire.

Actually, Gregory was still quite meticulous.

A fire was lit in the cave and above the fire, there was a pot with water boiling. Needless to say, all these were taught to him by Lea. As Gu Mengmeng nosebleeds easily, water has to be boiled while a fire is lit, so that the water vapour would moisturise the air and keep it moist.

There was a thick beast skin laid out by the fire and the distance was just right – it was not too close which might be dangerous, neither was it too far which would cause Gu Mengmeng to freeze.

At the entrance, there were rows of ice cups placed. Gu Mengmeng just needed to pour out the hot water from the pot into the ice cups and she would immediately be able to drink warm water.

And those ice cups were made from extremely clean ice from Motou Mountains and had a subtle sweetness. If one was not afraid of cold, it might even taste like ice candy. However, Gu Mengmeng did not feel like eating something cold, she only wanted to sleep.

Both Elvis and Lea were not around, but Gregory did not make her suffer any bit despite his first time personally taking care of Gu Mengmeng.

Gu Mengmeng fell into a groggy sleep and it was uncertain how long she had slept but she opened her eyes in a daze when she felt someone lightly patting her.

Gregory using a slightly bigger ice cup to serve Xue Ling fruits to Gu Mengmeng, and said, “The fruits you like to eat, these are only found during winter outside but there’s plenty of them in Motou Mountains. Have some, see if you will feel better after that.”

Gu Mengmeng nodded and reached out to receive the ice cup, but Gregory stepped back and did not let Gu Mengmeng take it herself. Instead, he sat behind Gu Mengmeng and allowed her to be surrounded and leaning on his chest. Then, he used beast skin to cover her body, exposing only her little face. Using his long and strong arms to surround Gu Mengmeng’s shoulders, he plucked a Xue Ling fruit and placed it at Gu Mengmeng’s mouth, saying, “Let me feed you.”
