Chapter 445 “North Qing’s Royalty”

“Get out of my way, I am going to find her!” Xia Hou Qi angrily roars out at his companion to let him go.

“Boss told me to look after you so NO!” A’bone unscrupulously answers him.

“I am royalty. As a citizen of Da Xia, you must obey my command. Move aside!” The more he looked over to the thick mass of darkness, the more agitated he became. It’s to the point where even his spirit force was starting to materialize around his body, fluctuating the air in doing so.

“Purple, deal with him.” Annoyed to the point where she didn’t want to deal with this mess, A’bone immediately turns to her friend the elephant.

Doing as told, the big guy swooped in with his big trunk and nabbed the prince up, restraining him there and unable to move.

“Who do you think you are? I will only listen to Boss so don’t even think about ordering me around.” Turning a blind eye now that the issue’s been resolved, A’bone was really starting to wonder why all these people from the capital were exactly the same – all so annoying.

“Strange, why is the black fog in that area so much thinner than the rest?” While those two were bickering on one end, it was Luo Song who first took notice to the change in the sky.

“How can that be possible? I clearly remember that area was entrenched with the stuff the last time we were here.” Hong Ming Yue was rather surprised by this fact and swiftly flew to the sky in order to verify this change.

Then as if that shock wasn’t enough, another surprise was quickly waiting for this poisonous girl from below. By the time she landed again, Ling Yue had also stepped out of the darkness!

“Ling Yue!” Like someone reunited with a long lost treasure, Xia Hou Qi promptly broke free of his restraints and dashed over to embrace his crush with tears in those eyes.

“Your Highness.” Uncomfortable by the close contact, the girl initially wanted to push away the boy only to be firmly pressed in by those arms.

She honestly didn’t think the lad had that much strength in those scrawny arms of his, especially when the prince didn’t even train as a martialist. But all good things must come to an end, even if it was somewhat awkward for the receiver.

Huuuueee~

Following the screeching sound of a horse cry not far away, this unexpected newcomer swiftly dismounted and came before the group. It was someone Ling Yue in fact, the very same Captain Cong Lu of North Qing, the very same man she met in the palace back at the capital.

“I am Captain Cong Lu of North Qing. Dare I ask, are the three of you from Da Xia’s military?” Only after his question did this fully armored and handsome young man notice who he was talking to, “Why isn’t this Miss Ling Yue?”

Though she herself didn’t know who this Cong Lu was, but Ling Yue can still vaguely remember this person was the envoy for North Qing. Based on that fact alone she can already be certain his position can’t be low.

Isn’t he the same one from back then in the palace?

Unlike the girl’s positive reception of this captain though, Xia Hou Qi’s reaction was quite awkward because it meant he must release his crush now that they’ve been interrupted.

“North Qing’s Special Envoy?” Assessing this handsome individual up and down, she’s somehow got this strange impression that the foe was coming at her with good intent for some reason.

“No need to be so formal, just address me as Brother Cong Lu. Feng Shen and I are good friends from back home. Just so you know, my ears are starting to hurt from all the corny stuff he keep yapping on about you.” Though his gaze was directed at the girl the entire time, his sentence was more prone towards the Sixth Prince instead. It’s an indirect form of warning and both men knew it.

Feng Shen’s friend.. Due to recalling that overkill of a face, Xia Hou Qi’s brow instantly furrowed into a knot.

“Forgive my rudeness, but Captain Cong Lu, why would someone like you appear in the borders of Da Xia?” The Sixth Prince asks, his tone mild and somewhat cold.

As the old saying goes, the appearance of a love rival can never be good.

“Due to the seriousness of this black fog and the effects it’s having on the creatures living in the region, His Majesty (North Qing’s) has tasked the members of the royal family to hunt out the infected animals in this region of our border. We are also taking this opportunity to hone their skills.” Though North Qing does hold a small portion of this region within their borders, but this part clearly wasn’t part of that area.

As for why this Cong Lu would be here of all places, it has much to do with his post. He’s a royal guard and a high ranking one at that. His main purpose was to guarantee the safety of the royal family and since members of the royalty were here, it meant he too would have to be here to carry out his duty.

“Cong Lu, you bastard, how dare you dump me behind and run off alone!” The female voice from afar sounded furious.

Looking over to the source, that’s when the party saw the group of soldiers riding over with a pinkly dressed girl in the middle, and due to that long slender dress and high heel boot, this damsel was exceptionally attractive with those long legs and tight waist. Then as if those features weren’t enough to make one drool over that figure, those voluptuous mounds simply wouldn’t stop jiggling due to the bouncing of the horse. Matched that with the trickling sweat from her chin down to her chest, one can didn’t even need to unclothe that area to know how big and smooth they were.

But of course, nothing was perfect in this world and this gorgeous damsel was no exception.

Without even bothering to make her greeting, this girl had already lashed out with her weapon of choice: a whip. And due to the trajectory of that attack, it was bound to hit Cong Lu as well as Ye Ling Yue on the side!

Not missing this incoming danger, the first to react here was none other than the highly agitated Xia Hou Qi, which in turn didn’t act kindly to someone trying to bring more harm to the treasure that just returned to him. This can be seen by how fierce his counter was using that spirit force – he actually caused the girl to fall over from the horse!

The Sixth Prince knows this can’t be good. He was never a dumb person, in fact, he’s considered exceptionally outstanding in his intellect. If the person over there was brave enough to hit someone of Cong Lu’s status then she can only be a princess of North Qing. A member of another nation’s royalty being injured on Da Xia’s border, regardless of the reason, the outcome will only bring unnecessary trouble. For that reason, and that reason only, he unwillingly makes a grunt and flew over in the nick of time, catching the falling girl by the waist like a knight in shining armor.

Originally this unruly princess had wanted to lash out again due to the scare she endured, but when confronted with that dashing face of her savior, her breath instantly stopped.

As the old saying goes, the men in the north are like rocks while the men in the south are like water. Anyone can tell she was deeply mesmerized by the boy already based on her drooling expression and raging heartbeat.

“Fifth Princess, are you okay?” Taking this reaction in from the girl, Cong Lu raises a smirk before interrupting their moment with a cough.

“Damn you Cong Lu, you still have the nerve to ask me that?!” A person’s character can’t be changed overnight, that’s why the first words out of this princess’s mouth was nothing but curses and swearing. Nevertheless, the fact that Xia Hou Qi was around did have an effect of suppressing that foul mouth.

“Thank you for the help good sir. My name is Qing Bi, Fifth Princess of North Qing. May I know sir’s name?” She blushes, knowing she’s about to get the name of her savior and possible man of her dream.
