Chapter 462 “The Evil Wu Chong (P1)”

Back in his study room again, Feng Shen wasted no time in opening the box containing the coveted item in which he seeks. The second in which he did though, the blinding light instantly overtakes the room, filling it with an intense heat found only he the summer season

Make no mistake, this was hardly the time of warmth and growth, it’s the season of frost and biting cold in the north. Yet the room was so hot that one could literally get a stroke if not careful.

Fortunately Feng Shen had a exceptionally cold constitution, giving him immunity to the heat.

“Wu Chong,” sounding like it pains him to just say that name, a bittersweet sneer fills that face.

The man’s lazy voice is a bit cold and proud.

“Trash, what do you take the great I for? An errand boy?” From within came another voice, a lazy yet filled with pride voice.

That’s right, the voice belongs to Wu Chong, the infamous Ghost Emperor, lord and master of the Underground Palace. They shared the same body, as a result of this conflict, their relationship has always been like ice and fire, never yielding to one another like arch enemies.

However, this trend has shown signs of loosening in the past year.

“You make it sound like you are unhappy about it.” Scoffing off the insult like its nothing, Feng Shen’s voice was filled with sarcasm and ridicule.

“Don’t you forget it, this is the last time I will be your errand runner.”

Abruptly getting up from his seat, the boy swiftly came before a bookshelf where he pulled on one of the levers. Following a noticeable click, what revealed itself next was a secret compartment with a golden mask lying quietly inside.

Transformed from his frail and handsome self, Feng Shen was now the wicked and evil Wu Chong, the man feared across the continent as the cruel Ghost Emperor whose slain thousands.

If only Ling Yue could see this, if she did, she would’ve dropped her jaws from the mind-blowing shock. Then again, the fact that the one making the delivery was Wu Chong was more than enough to surprise her.

…………………….

“Wu Chong, how come… Ahumphumph,” Before Yan Jiu could finish his sentence over the unexpected visitor, Wu Chong had already tossed over something.

Out of reflex he caught the object in the air; however, the second that he got a better look of thing, his eyes instantly darkened.

The reasoning? It’s because the object in question was none other than a cucumber, and one that’s half chopped up no less.

Shivering hard over the sight of this thing, Yan Jiu instinctively tossed the cucumber away like a hot kettle.

Damn you Wu Chong, you are too evil.

Don’t he know a man’s third leg mustn’t be trifled with? How can he threaten me this way?!

While the two brothers were doing their “thing”, Ling Yue on the other hand was frightfully tempted to flee. It’s an impulse, a dreadfully strong impulse because she knows exactly what awaits her if she stayed. Yet, her legs refused to budge no matter what sort of order she gave due to her own curiosity.

I wonder what they are talking about?

Taking advantage of their divided attention, she starts comparing the two like a judge during a fashion show.

First off, she can instantly see their temperaments were very different. Wu Chong were cold and oppressive while Yan Jiu was all friendly and receptive, polar opposites of one another. Though that may be the case, it’s oddly perfect this way. Like a melodic harmony, each balancing the other’s fault with their assets.

Then before she could continue to assesse the two eye candies in front of her, Yan Jiu had already tossed out a certain object from his hands. Though that movement was fast and swift, her eyes weren’t to be taken lightly either.

What the? It’s actually an emerald green cucumber!

Chapter 462 “The Evil Wu Chong (P2)”

Acting as if she’s discovered something wondrous, similar to an explorer finding a new continent, she focuses in on the pair with sparkling light in her eyes.

Could it be! Wu Chong and Yan Jiu really is a countering pair of animals? But who is the male and who is the female here, and who gets to be on top and who gets stuck on the bottom?

Note: For those that doesn’t get it, she’s referring them to as mating animals despite being both men.

Naturally by the time Wu Chong turned around to face the girl the man himself would also discover that beaming eye. However, he didn’t have a clue as to why she would be so interested all of a sudden.

“Within a month, the performance of this place must be doubled.” Salty in his voice, clearly he didn’t like his woman eyeing another man, even if that person was his brother Yan Jiu.

Going all tearful in that instant, the poor supposed City Lord of this Underground City just got wiped, Aren’t you being too petty right now? It’s just hurting your woman a little here, why must you be so mean!

Sadly for Yan Jiu, even inwardly protesting wasn’t an option here for him because Wu Chong definitely heard that thought. In the next second after whatever was said, the poor man no longer wanted to stay and made a dash for it. Of course, he didn’t forget to pick up that partially cut cucumber to take with him.

By the time Ling Yue realized what has happened due to her overly obsessed attention, it was already too late. Only she remains with Wu Chong, the bastard who would cause her endless grief.

“Can you be anymore unproductive, it’s just a single Reaper Emissary and you can’t even deal with that?” The man immediately starts getting snappy in his tongue.

“Would it kill you to not get so vexing? What ordinary Reaper? From what I heard, that Soul Reaping Chain was taught by you!” It would’ve been better if Wu Chong didn’t taunt her, but when he did, she immediately exploded.

Exactly as she said, the Soul Reaping Chain technique was something he personally awarded Zhan Gang back then.

“You still got the courage to complain when you are weaker than others?” There’s no way he would admit his fault despite showing remorse earlier.

This damn stubborn woman, how can she go take on that attack head on? Does she not know how dangerous it is to do that?

Due to how displeased and irritated the man’s appearance was, Ling Yue had the bad feeling that he would shamelessly beat her right then and there. As such, she did the next best thing and made a run for it. Sadly, those frail legs of hers could never outrun a Ghost Emperor in his prime.

Next second she knew, Ling Yue was already firmly in the man’s arm, restrained and left with no room to wiggle.

“Little Yue Yue, I’ve decided. In order to prevent you from embarrassing me in the future, I’m going to personally lecture you after your recovery.”

Normally the word “lecture” wouldn’t mean anything special; however, when coming out of that mouth burning with desire, the goosebumps on Ling Yue’s skin could no longer stay quiet and was blooming left and right.

But just when she wanted to protest and attack, Wu Chong clearly knew what she intended to do and beat her to the punch.

“Someone come, prepare the secret chamber.” The meaning there was that he intends to personally tend to her injury.

Xue Pian Ran mentioned it before. When using the Nirvana Heart Lotus, there must be a powerful master by the side to help bring the medicine’s effect to its fullest. If that’s the case, Wu Chong was the perfect candidate for the job. Also the main reason why Feng Shen would willingly yield the control of their body this time.

“I am an alchemist, I can consume the Nirvana Heat Lotus alone.” As nice as the offer was, Ling Yue didn’t have any wish to be alone with this animal, especially in the same room too!

“That’s not up to you to choose. In the next few days none is to disturb me less I summon them!” With that order made to those attendants outside, Wu Chong immediately got to work and flew off into the secret chamber with the poor helpless chickling in his arms.

Thankfully the room in question was quite spacious, giving ample room for them both to move around. Furthermore, Yan Jiu really does fit his friendly appearance because he had already ordered the servants to prepare the basic necessities ahead of time, including a huge barrel for bathing.

“Let’s begin then,” the man announces using that smug smile of his, sending Ling Yue into a frantic frown in the process.
