“You should go down with them and eat. You don't have to stay with me,” Arissa advised after seeing
that Benjamin refused to head downstairs.
Is he planning to stay here with me and starve?
Benjamin smoothed her quilt. “I'm not hungry yet.”
Hearing his response, Arissa felt a warm feeling in her heart. “Even if you're not hungry, you must eat.
If the dishes get cold, William and the others will have to reheat them. Go and eat now. Once you're
full, you can help me bring up some food.”
Benjamin spent a little more time with her.
Feeling that he take the children's words by heart, Arissa chuckled and teased him, “Zachary asked
you to never leave my side. Are you really planning to follow his words?”
“I can do that!” Benjamin's lips curled upward, his hand rubbing her stomach. “Do you still feel sick in
the stomach?”
She shook her head and said, “No, not anymore. I don't feel sick now. You should go and eat.”
At that, the man finally nodded and rose to his feet. “Rest for a while. I'll be back soon.”
Arissa fixed her gaze on Benjamin. Upon noticing that he was still gazing at her intently and hadn't left,
she felt a moment of unease.
“What is it?”
He pursed his lips and reminded her, “Please stay in bed and avoid walking around!”
Arissa was caught off guard by his words and took a moment to process them. She felt speechless and
replied, “Yes, I understand. You can go now!”
She tugged the quilt over her head, feeling a mix of embarrassment and frustration. Why is he treating
me like a child? This is ridiculous.
His deep and charming laughter sounded from outside the quilt. “Don't cover your head with the quilt.
You might suffocate. I'll go down first.”
She lowered the quilt and cast a quick glance toward the door as she heard the sound of footsteps
moving away.
Arissa couldn't help but wonder if they would treat her like a national treasure and keep a close watch
on her from now on.
After getting downstairs, Benjamin made his way to the kitchen to inspect the oatmeal porridge that
William was cooking. Upon finding out it was still not ready, he proceeded to the dining room, where
Darius and the children were already eating, and joined them.
“Benjamin, given Issa's pregnancy, if you can't be there for her constantly, you should consider finding
someone who is detail-oriented and can assist with her daily needs, as well as provide support once
the baby is born,” Darius advised, wanting his son to prepare for everything beforehand.
“Okay. I will get Ethen to look for someone who can take care of Arissa.” Benjamin took note of Darius'
reminder.
When he met with the six children's gazes, he took some food and placed them on their plates.
“Please concentrate on eating!”
“Thanks, Daddy!”
“Thank you, Mr. Graham!”
Darius smiled and gazed at his grandchildren. “I will take care of them for your sake.”
Benjamin nodded and quickly finished his food. By the time he was done, the oatmeal porridge had
finished cooking.
He then took the oatmeal porridge upstairs. Arissa was surprised to see him return so quickly.
“You're back already?”
“It's been more than ten minutes.” Benjamin looked at her before placing the oatmeal porridge on the
bedside table. Then, he extended his hand to help her up.
He proceeded to place a pillow behind her back to help her sit up comfortably.
Arissa leaned comfortably against the pillow and asked with a smile, “Did you enjoy your meal?”
“Yes, I did.” Benjamin picked up the oatmeal porridge and noticed that it was still hot. He stirred it and
blew on it to cool it down.
Arissa stared at the oatmeal porridge and sighed, prompting the man to raise his eyes and look at her.
“Why are you sighing?” he asked.
She merely made a face and grumbled, “I had oatmeal porridge all the time in the hospital. I didn't think
I'd have to eat it again after being discharged.”
Benjamin couldn't help but find it amusing to hear her complain about the oatmeal porridge.
He spoke softly, trying to soothe her. “Please eat this for now. I'll cook something simple for you
tomorrow. You don't have to eat oatmeal porridge then.”
Arissa smiled and accepted his proposal. She then lowered her head and obediently took a bite of the
oatmeal porridge after he handed her the spoon.
“Did William cook this? It tastes different!”
“Yes.” Benjamin nodded and added, “I think he added some lemon juice to it.”
“I see!” Arissa was surprised after hearing that and savored each bite of the oatmeal porridge with a
good appetite.
Observing that she was able to eat without feeling sick, Benjamin felt relieved.
He knew that if she continued to vomit, it would not only be difficult for her, but it would also be hard for
him to handle it alone.
“Eat some more!” Benjamin urged as he sat by her bedside, patiently spoon-feeding Arissa the oatmeal
porridge, scoop by scoop.
