Benjamin wheeled Arissa toward the elevator.
While doing so, he texted both Gavin and Kingsley on his phone.
He typed: I'm bringing her to the garden at the north entrance for a stroll, so avoid that area.
Hearing the ding of an incoming message, Kingsley lifted his head and cast his eyes at Gavin.
Then, he glanced back at his phone. In the next second, surprise flooded him. “It's a text from your
daddy.”
Gavin swept a gaze over him before taking his own phone out.
Subsequently, he said to Zachary and the others, “Daddy said not to go to the north entrance. He
brought Mommy to the garden for a stroll.”
“In that case, we'll wait until after Tim had his IV drip before going home,” Zachary suggested.
Gavin's eyes glinted, and he nodded.
He then turned to Tim and asked, “Are you hungry now, Tim? Would you like to eat? I'll have the
cafeteria prepare some food for you first, and we'll have a feast when you've been discharged from the
hospital.”
Tim shook his head, having no appetite.
“Don't you want to eat?”
Oliver studied him worriedly since he likewise had no desire to eat when he was in his brother's shoes.
“No.” Tim shook his head once more.
“If so, I'll feed you some more warm water.”
With swift movements, Jasper poured Tim a glass of warm water and fed it to him.
“Are you feeling better yet, Tim?”
Glimpsing the concern in his brother's eyes, Tim smiled and bobbed his head in affirmation.
“Let him rest for a while. He has just regained consciousness and is lethargic, so it's normal that he
doesn't feel like eating,” Shaun reassured the children to assuage their worry.
At his words, Gavin and the others obediently settled down at the side and no longer disrupted Tim
from resting.
Darius also kept watch by Tim's bedside, alternating between touching his face and the IV drip's
insertion point.
The sight of everyone keeping him company had a wealth of warmth imbue Tim.
Meanwhile, Arissa followed Benjamin downstairs for a stroll. She sat in the wheelchair, for the man did
not allow her to walk.
Benjamin wheeled her along the path. There were a few pavilions in view, making for an enthralling
sight in the night.
Those who were ignorant might even mistake the place for a resort instead of a hospital.
“The design here is incredibly beautiful!”
Following her comment, Benjamin chuckled.
“Yeah.”
Arissa turned back and eyed him, snickering as well. “Why are you laughing when I wasn't
complimenting you?”
Benjamin arched a brow, his lips curving upward imperceptibly. “I designed this place. Aren't you
complimenting me when you compliment the design?”
That rendered Arissa speechless.
“Why, my design isn't good?”
At her silence, Benjamin leaned down and teased her.
Arissa giggled in exasperation. “Fine, fine. I was complementing you, then.”
“How perfunctory!” Benjamin scoffed.
“Is it?”
Arissa played dumb, casting her eyes at the scenery in the distance. Out of the blue, she spotted a
figure out of the corner of her eye.
She focused on it, but the distance was a bit far, so she could not be sure about the person's identity.
“Is that Mr. Watts, Benjamin?”
“Where?”
In a flash, Benjamin's eyes narrowed dangerously, and white-hot fury blazed within them.
I've already reminded Kingsley about avoiding the area earlier. Yet, he still dares to appear in my wife's
line of sight!
“There on the third floor's balcony!”
Arissa pointed the figure out to him.
Cutting his sharp gaze over, Benjamin recognized the man as Kingsley at a single glance.
He gritted his teeth hard, but his voice remained placid. “No, it isn't him.”
“Huh?” Arissa was stunned for a moment. The clothes look pretty much the same to me.
“It looks like him though...”
Kingsley had taken the kids home, so he shouldn't be at the hospital.
“It's his cousin,” Benjamin fibbed to avoid arousing her suspicion.
“Their dressing styles are really similar, then.”
Failing to notice anything amiss, Arissa believed him.
“If I remember correctly, they bought that outfit during a trip together. His cousin likes to imitate him in
everything.”
Benjamin's voice carried a trace of mockery. Seeing the disdain on his face, Arissa was even more
convinced of his story.
Amused, she wondered, “Why?”
Could it be that Kingsley's cousin is a fan of Kingsley?
“They're both rich playboys!” Benjamin snorted softly.
Hearing that, Arissa burst into laughter.
Whoa! I reckon Kingsley would be devastated to hear that!
“Let's go over there!”
Benjamin shifted the angle of the wheelchair, lest she recognized Kingsley.
At the same time, he texted Kingsley, the murderous intent in the message palpable even through the
screen.
