“Are you going out to buy it?” Arissa looked at Benjamin—who was already prepared to leave—feeling
deeply touched in her heart.
“Yeah.” Benjamin nodded, glancing at the time. It was still quite early.
After some thought, Arissa's mouth watered at the thought of the late-night snacks from Supper Town.
“I want to eat barbecued shrimp pasta! And grilled corn, lamb skewers...”
Benjamin's brows furrowed, and he reminded her, “You can't eat barbecue!”
Arissa gulped, looking at him pitifully. “Can I have corn then?”
Sighing internally, Benjamin replied, “I'll go take a look and buy some food you can eat!”
“Alright, hurry up then!” Arissa had no choice but to agree. Otherwise, he would buy her food that was
even blander.
“You can sleep for a while first!” Benjamin said before leaving the room.
Supper Town was just less than a ten-minute drive from the hospital, which was not far.
When Benjamin arrived, he first ordered a barbecued shrimp pasta and a roasted chicken. He didn't
order any other barbecued dishes.
Seeing the cooked corn, he decisively bought one and also purchased a serving of beef casserole.
Twenty minutes later, he was already carrying the packed late-night snacks in both hands, heading
towards the car.
Suddenly, he saw a familiar figure from the corner of his eye. He glanced in that direction, and his
eyebrows furrowed tightly.
Kingsley and a few others were walking over from the other side, with the kids protected in the middle.
They were having a blast.
Suddenly, Kingsley and the group felt a piercing gaze fixed on them. They all turned to look ahead,
meeting Benjamin's tapered eyes. Each of them shuddered involuntarily.
Oh my goodness!
Why is Mr. Graham also here to buy late-night snacks?
Why is Daddy here to have late-night snacks?
Isn't our luck just the worst? We were almost returning home, but we bumped into the person we feared
the most.
“Can someone explain?” Benjamin asked in a calm voice, his gaze sweeping over them with a chilling
intensity.
Biting the bullet, Kingsley chuckled awkwardly and hid behind the kids.
The six adorable kids twitched their mouths. This subordinate is not up to par.
“They're hungry, so we all came out for a late-night snack! We're heading back now!” Shaun explained
carefully.
Swallowing his saliva, Ethen met Benjamin's gaze and quickly explained, “Mr. Graham, we didn't let
them eat anything unusual, only what they usually eat.”
Benjamin gave a cold huff, glaring at them. Then his gaze fell on the children. “Didn't you tell your mom
that you were home?”
The six kids were huddled together with their heads down. We didn't say that. It was a
misunderstanding on Mommy's part.
However, they didn't dare to argue with Benjamin by saying those words.
“I-I'm hungry, so Mr. Watts treated us to a meal!” Jesse was soft and tender, twisting her small hands
as she spoke to Benjamin. Her timid demeanor made it impossible for Benjamin to get angry.
Benjamin stared at them for a moment, then said in a deep voice, “Go back now.”
“Okay!” Jesse nodded vigorously. Gavin, Tim, Zachary, Oliver, and Jasper also nodded in agreement.
“We're going home right now!”
Seeing the children's sincere attitudes, Benjamin felt somewhat satisfied. His sharp gaze then swept
over to Kingsley. “Don't take them out for a casual stroll in the middle of the night.”
Benjamin wasn't forbidding the children from going out at night. But given the current special
circumstances, he didn't want the kids to be exposed to danger again.
“Boss, I was wrong!” Kingsley admitted his mistake with his head hung low, looking somewhat pitiful.
“After sending them home, punish yourself by running ten laps!” Benjamin's gaze was icy as he
glanced at Ethen, Shaun, and Kingsley.
Ethen and Shaun's expressions froze. Are we going to be punished as well?
Ethen dared not protest, “Yes, Mr. Graham!”
“Yes!” Shaun said, looking particularly innocent.
Benjamin gave them a glance before turning around to get into the car. His words were meant for the
kids. “Once you're home, give me a call!”
The children replied, “Understood!”
The group stood by the roadside and watched Benjamin's car disappear into the distance. Then, they
collectively let out a sigh.
“What awful luck!”
