Chapter 3837 Ven
Puch Puch
"It is the third time, me saving you, old friend," I said to the man, before moving to kill another Grimm.
I could see the alarm flashing in its eyes. It immediately made him scared, and he should be. If someone said something to me, that hinted at them at knowing about my forbidden power, I would have been scared too.
I could see, how his body was reacting, the emotion he was feeling, before he used a method.
A moment later, the woman's eyes turned to me.
'As expected, they know about each other,' I thought. They didn't use the normal soul sense to contact each other or even look but used a secret method that was nearly invisible.
If I didn't have my seed in him, I wouldn't have been able to discover it all.
Puch Puch Puch!
I killed all the running Grimms and turned to the woman and saw her killing the last Grimm.
"We should quickly move toward the gate, before the other Grimms notice," I said, and the Sky Sovereigns nodded and flew toward the direction of the gates.
He and the woman also moved toward it. They maintained a distance from each other but remained close, but I could tell they were planning to slip away.
Well, I am not planning to let it, at least before I talk to a few words and hand them to the girl.
"Old friend, it's been a while since we met and you are already trying to slip away," I said as I appeared beside him. I could see him shudder and the woman coming closer, but still far enough to be unsuccessful.
He quickly got his emotions under control and turned to me with a serious face.
There is also finality in its eyes. He is willing to take action against and looking at him; it seemed like, he had something which he believed could be able to harm me.
"I am sorry, but I can't remember you," he said, looking at me up and down.
"It's been years since we met. You have changed your face, but I can't miss your unique aura," I said, hinting at his greatest secret.
He stopped in his tracks, and a bronze ball appeared in his hands.
"Easy, if I wanted to kill you, I would have done it last time," I said and pulled a bronze ball out of his hand and moved ahead, while it watched me in shock, before following me.
What I just did wasn't as easy as it looked. It had an aura trigger; the moment it left his hand, it would have exploded, but it didn't. Not to mention, I pulled it out of his hand, which has the strength of Sky Sovereign.
He was gripping that ball pretty tightly.
"Who are you?" he asked as he appeared beside me. I smiled and wanted to play with him more, but seeing the expression on his face, I felt like, it was a bad idea.
I might make the guy, take some unneeded actions in his panic.
"You wound me, Ven. I thought, you would never forget me after I saved you from the death's door," I said, putting my hand on my chest dramatically.
"Carlos!" he shouted, recognizing me immediately.
"It's been a while," I said, man.
"Yes, it is," he said after a moment of silence and relief. Though cautiousness remained a presence in his eyes; not as much as before.
"I never thought I would see you," he said after several seconds and I just gave him a look, which reddened his cheeks.
I can't blame him. If someone knew about my forbidden power, I too would wish, I would never see them again. They are secrets that could kill you on the spot or make you suffer a fate worse than death.
"I mean. The world is big and with our faces changing." He added. "I thought so too," I replied.
It was really surprised to see him here.
Currently, he is an elf in his mid-twenties with white hair. He is handsome, with a tall lean physique, different from his fox beastman persona, which is closer to his real person.
"Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?" I asked, looking at the woman and shock appeared on his face before he sighed.
A moment later, the woman appeared beside her. She is a woman in her early thirties, beautiful with light purple scales on her body.
"Hello, I am Sarena. Ven had told me a lot of things about you," she introduced. "It's a pleasure," I shook her hand.
"I am guessing you are also traveling on Oti's grand?" she asked. To that, I nodded, before sighing.
"Yes, and I was hoping for smooth travel, but now these bastards have attacked. They are going to make things complicated," I cursed, and they nodded.
"We are worried about it, too. We have an important business on the continent." Said Ven. "Let's hope, we get out of this place smoothly and Prime deals with the things," said Sarena hopefully.
"Thank you for your help earlier. Once again, you have saved my life," he said. I smiled at that.
Seconds passed in silence as we flew toward the gate with the rest, with people joining us every minute.
The two beside me talk in silence. I am sure, they are discussing me. I gave them time but remained careful. I don't know them well and sometimes; people take desperate measures to protect their secrets.
"There was one more person who came with us. We have separated when we entered the ruin," he said before a light came out of his eyes and formed a familiar face.
"Have you seen her?" he asked with his eyes reeking of pain and desperation.
"Yes. She is with me," I said, to their shock, and the next moment, the girl appeared out of the storage.
They looked before leaping at her with tears flowing through their eyes.
