Chapter 2209 - Unwelcome Guest
'Hehe, I never had throught while solving this problem. I will find such a great solution to my own problem,' I said to myself as I noted down a great idea I had, the idea said to revolutionary.
If I am able to realize with the scale I had imagined it to be, the power I will have would be unimaginable.
But that is a thing of the future, and I would need to develop the idea to a much higher degree. Currently, the basic part of the idea is more than enough to solve my problem and give me an advantage on top of that.
I once again focused on the formation to break the Jim out; I had sidelined it for a minute to write down that revolutionary idea I have.
I am close to finishing the formation, and it also helps that I am using all my concentration on solving it with Rhea and Ashlyn protecting me, so I should be able to finish within two hours.
'Finished!' I said as I finished with the formation. With a new idea, it took me more time than I had estimated, about eight hours. A full day inside my core, which is the highest any formation had taken in recent times.
"You finished?" Rhea asked, "Yes," I said with a sigh. "Why do you look sad then?" She asked.
"The price of it would be great; I will be using one of the most precious treasures I have," I said and selected the most precious ink I have, the one I had always kept for emergencies and never used it.
It is a gift from old man Salvador, he had given me for saving him. It is a High Grandmaster level runic ink and seeing how powerful the formation is, I will have to use nearly all of it.
I would have thought hundred times before using it if it had been anyone else, even used my second-ranked ink, but I could not take the risk when it comes to Jim.
The twelve formations are barely maintaining equilibrium, and if I use anything less, then there is a chance Jim will fall in great danger and die.
"Don't worry about the cost, this friend of yours had really good things. You can loot him after you saved him," Rhea said, 'I very much planned to do that,' I said inside myself while giving Rhea a smile.
The runes began to come out of the air-pen; I could see Jim becoming excited seeing it, that he is barely able to keep himself calm.
Hundreds of purple gold runes begin to come out of the air pen every second, connecting to those which are already in the air. Each second, the formation grew bigger and bigger till finally, at the fourth minute, it had become gigantic.
The formation looked like its purpose, a big wide net.
Tap!
As it materialized, I checked it one more time for any mistakes, and when I found none, I tapped on it, sending it toward the formation where Jim is trapped.
The formation slowly floated away like a kite and appeared over the formation before beginning to descent over them like a blanket, waiting to cover all the formation in its embrace.
The twelve formations did not react at all as runic blankets begin to cover them; how can one react to the thing that is not visible to the senses.
Ever since I had gotten this ink, I had been daily adding my rule-bending power to it. I knew I would one day use it, and when I do, I need equally powerful rule-bending power inside it to deal with anything that is powerful or important enough to make me utilize the ink.
Though even after months, I was not able to insert a sufficient level of rule-bending power in ink, it would be more than enough to deal with the current scenarios.
Buzz!
The net for formation completely covered all the broken formation and activated. Seeing that, my expression became serious.
From the next second, anything could happen.
The formation would not act quickly, it would take at least a minute before Jim could come out, and that would only happen if the formation worked as I had intended.
Though I have full confidence in the formation I had created, nothing is completely certain, seeing I am dealing with the broken formation, not a complete formation on which I could be completely certain.
Step!
We were looking at next with bated breaths when suddenly an uninvited guest stepped throught the broken formation wall on the left and, seeing both of our eyes, couldn't help but become serious.
It is a Grimm Monster that had come but not a regular Grimm Monster but a Vidette and is different from the one we have seen earlier.
"Hehe, it seemed like I had come on the right time," Said the vidette Apeman and raised its huge black Warhammer and moved toward the formation, with a clear intention to destroy it.
"You will not do that!" Rhea shouted, and strength, I had not sensed in her earlier battle, had burst through her body.
Her bloodline aura is so powerful that it had made Vidette stop on its track with wide eyes as it moved its huge Warhammer toward Rhea from the formation.
CLANNNG!
Their weapons clashed, and the Vidette shook while Rhea took a step back. Both of them had a great shock in their eyes; Rhea is shocked because she was able to stop the shade the Vidette and not a regular vidette but an Apeman vidette who are famed for their massive physical prowess.
Vidette is also shocked for the same reason; he shook, and the one was able to do that not a fellow vidette or grand scion but a puny human, which should have exploded in pieces the moment its Warhammer touched her toothpick sword.
"I had not thought humans would let a person of your caliber would it come here," Viddette said as powerful violette energy-filled its Warhammer.
"We have to get experience," Rhea replied, and even a powerful bloodline aura burst out her.
"I will make sure this experience of yours will be the last," It said and swung its huge Warhammer, "Dream on!" Rhea snorted out a reply and went at Vidette with her sword blazing in powerful diamond energy.
