Chapter 2156: The Fourth Mentee
She sat down with thoughts in her mind, thinking about the options she had. I let her; it was quite a big decision that could change her life forever.
She remained quiet for more than half an hour before finally, she looked at me. "I would be honored to be mentored by you, Lord Zaar," She said. Her answer had surprised me a little as, to be honest, I thought she would reject my offer when there was an actual Grandmaster ready to mentor you.
"Good," I said. "The other mentees will be coming soon; till then, answer some of the questions I have about you," I said and began to ask some questions.
I have read about her file, but I have some questions; they are general questions, nothing to do with her Bloodline. I will get those answers when I scan her Bloodline; it will be soon when the other arrives.
Buzz!
Soon about twenty minutes have passed by, and the formation circle lit up; soon, three people appeared on it.
"Ida!"
Neela called out before I could say anything before she turned to me. "Lord Micheal, what is Ida doing here?" Neela asked. "Ida is the fourth mentee I took and will be with us from now on," I informed, surprising three of them.
Those three are not the only ones who are surprised to see Ida also surprised to see them. She is familiar with them all since they have been in Fort Ardon; she looked at Leonard and Danielle, who greeted her before hugging Neela.
Neela and Ida seemed to know each other quite well; I don't know that. I did not look at the personal lives of my mentees; what they do with their personal lives is not my business.
"Now, four of you have met; let's go," I said and walked out of the Parlor. A few minutes later, we are in a huge arena that is bigger than the estate I live in.
Without saying anything, three pink seeds appeared top of my finger and flew toward Danielle, Leonard, and Neela before seeping into their bodies. It had become a normal scenario for them that they did not even react while Ida looked curiously at it.
"Considers these seeds as trackers; they track every function of the body and give me live feed of it," I said to her Ida's shock.
"I am planning to add one seed into your body too. Do you have any problem?" I asked. "How long will it remain in my body?" She asked. "Till the practice session, I will remove it when you leave," I replied.
"Ok, you can seep it into me," She said with gritted teeth after giving a glance to Neena, who gave her an encouraging nod.
The pink seed that appeared above my index finger seeped into her body as it did. A metaphysical body of her began to appear in front of my eyes.
"Neela, fight with Ida," I ordered. Hearing that, everyone is surprised, except Neela. Though most of her training focused on the aspect of her Inheritance. I had also trained her in combat; her Inheritance is quite suited for it, which is opposite to the people's belief of her Inheritance.
"Yes, Lord Micheal," Neela said, walking into the arena confidently, followed by Ida.
Both of them are at the same level, and there is not much difference between their powers. Neela's Inheritance is strong enough to contend against the Bloodline of Ida, but Neela is not a fighter; I had only focused on combat elements because it is a skill she should have.
The Grimms and their little spies are everywhere; they have already assassinated quite many of our healers; I don't want Neela to be one of them.
Soon, both of them reached the center of the arena and summoned their Bloodline Armor and Inheritance Armor along with their totem artifacts.
The Green metallic armor appeared on the body of Ida. The armor is beautiful, with enchanting designs of different leaves swirling in the air.
Her Bloodline is being called 'Lady of Azure.' It is an unknown Bloodline that had not appeared in our world before; everything we know about it is from Ida.
With the armor, her totem artifact also appeared in her hand, and it is a green-colored long sword that is as tall as her.
As her bloodline armor appeared, her metaphysical shape became even more detailed.
Neela's Inheritance armor, on the other hand, is a cream violet-colored robe with pieces of armor attached to it in fatal spots. It is combat mode armor her Inheritance give; there is a general type rope that does not have the armored parts.
Her totem artifacts are glover which is very helpful in her art of fleshmancer. Now, her violet gloved have turned into gauntlets with three sharp meter long claws coming out of each gauntlet.
"Begin!"
I ordered, and Ida attacked with a powerful aura blasting off her body; I had told Ida telepathically not to hold back on Neela, use her full strength in battle.
I had done that not only to collect data but also to see Neela's response. She had only fought with me in her training, and I wanted to experience other powerful opponents. If I think she is ready, I will ask Lord Whitman to send her combat mission to gain more experience.
Clang Clang Clang
Neela defended the attack barely before started taking a step back, and Ida, as the textbook perfect fighter she is, did not give Neela any chance to attack again and again, and all the time, Neela was only able to defend with her claws.
In my training, I had made her focus on her defense; she is a fleshmancer with barely any combat experience. While she is perfect for fighting as any combat Inheritance person and even better than some, she lacks experience.
She needs to learn to stay alive in a fight before she needs to learn to kill. The fleshmancer have too many ways to kill; some of them are horrifying enough to give nightmares to the Grimm Monsters.
