Chapter 2010 - 15 Grimms I
"People of Riverfield Academy, today the Great Grimm Race will purify you for your wretched crimes," A loud voice rang throughout the Academy.
The Teacher had just given her order when we heard the voice of Grimm Monsters, hearing that our expressions changed immediately and we appeared outside. As we did, expressions of Teacher and all councilmen changed drastically, and horror couldn't help but appear on their faces.
There are fifteen Grimm Monsters in the sky of Academy, all blazing aura of Master class Tyrant. The weakest of them is the mid-Master class Tyrant, while the strongest one seemed to have even slightly above the Master class but had not quite reached the stage above.
All of the people of the Academy are looking at the Grimm Monsters with horror; some have even collapsed in fear. They understood what kind of terror they represented; they could easily wipe out the whole Academy in a matter of seconds with their strength.
Of the fifteen Grimm Monsters, twelve of them are holding huge artifacts in their hands which seemed to be even bigger than the humans, and all of them are targetting toward the Academy.
Rip Rip Rip
We had just appeared in the sky when we heard a ripping sound and saw twelve grey beams released from the ground, at the same time twelve black beams released from the artifacts they had been holding.
Seeing the beams, my expressions couldn't help but change; this is not a spur-of-moment attack but the one that had been planned for months or even a year. Planting the source of twelve beams on academy ground undetected is not a simple thing; it would have taken a lot of time.
"These beams are coming from very powerful artifacts; it is very hard to destroy them," Councilman Finn said as he reappeared, hearing that no one was surprised.
He had disappeared when the beams have appeared, and I had felt him attacking the source. The result was obvious; the Grimm Monsters would not have placed such artifacts here that could be destroyed so easily.
Crack Crack Crack…Bang!
The two beams crashed on both sides as they did, the shield of Skyheart that Teacher had deployed cracked into pieces, much to the horror of thousands of people who were watching.
"Shield of Stoneheart!" Teacher said, unfazed by the breaking of a shield. As she said it, another shield materialized as if it had already been there.
The Academy has powerful defenses; while Grimm Monsters may have known about the majority of them, they do not know about all of them. Even I did not know about all of them and was not even the council aware of them, only the headmistress is aware of them, and those are not easy to break.
Crack Crack Crack…Bang!
Again the beams on two sides begin to crack the shield before they start to crack before exploding into pieces like the previous shield covering the Academy.
"Sheild of Braveheart!" Teacher said, and again, another shield covered the Academy; this one is faint red color and looked more powerful than the other two shields.
"Hehehe, no matter how many shields you erect, we will going to destroy them all before destroying you all," Said the leading Stone Lightning Tigerman while laughing loudly.
"It is right in a way; deploying such powerful shields cost us a lot of resources that could be better used elsewhere," I said as I looked at beams covering the new shield. "It is better we destroy these bastards, it will save us a lot of resources, and we will also get our hands on those powerful dome breaker artifacts," I said with a smile before I started to fly up.
"Micheal!" The Teacher said, the first time bringing change in her expressions since the attack began. "I will be fine Teacher, it is time to show the world that our Academy is no pushover; they will pay with their life if they dared to something like that," I said and flew up.
Teacher again opened her mouth to stop me but closed it as she felt a hand on her shoulder, "He is right; it is time to tell the world we are no pushovers, and since he dared to take action means he has some confidence against them," Councilman Finn said.
"Have you seen Micheal do anything that he is not confident about doing?" Councilman Finn asked, seeing she is still not convinced.
She struggled for a while before she nodded, but a moment later, she had taken out a couple of command disks and began to activate them. While she is willing to give her student the freedom to make his own choices, she is still taking precautions in case he needs her help.
In Pyramid
The pyramids control room is buzzing with new updates every second; the Grimm Monsters attack came sooner than they had expected. They launched their attack within ten minutes of sensing the blessing, not a day, not a week, not even a complete hour, just ten minutes.
Even they were prepared, they were still caught off guard as the Grimm Monsters have deployed hundreds of their powerful legions across the continents, coming across the human's borders in full force.
"Grand Commander, the companies of Grimm Monsters, have arrived at the Nasrad Island, Abyss Leaf Mountain, and Riverifeled Academy," Informed Major Ross, adding three more screens to the already hundreds.
Hera's eyes couldn't help sharped seeing that "Targetting those three places is symbolic, we have to save those places," Lord Sylvestor said, he is the only leader of supreme who is present in the command rooms while others have gone to their responsibilities, taking command of various legions are areas.
The three areas they are targeting are all related to Ramona Hawthorn and Cathering Roosevelt. Nasrad Island was the birthplace of Ramona Hawthorn; Abyss leaf peak is a place where both of them had spent considerable time when they were hiding from Star Palace, and the Riverfield Academy had made them what they were.
"It is not just a symbolic attack but also a trap, one wrong step, and we will suffer immeasurable losses that will have an implication on the whole war," Hera softly.
While these places are important and will have an effect on the morale of their forces, she could not take any hasty step saving them, but that does not mean she would not try to save them, but her approach would be cautious. She would not lose old monsters saving these places; their value is too great.
These attacks may seem symbolic to hurt their morale, but they are actually the traps for the old monsters; she is a hundred percent sure, some of the bastards from coven hiding in shadows like snakes, ready to strike the moment we fell on their trap.
"Hun, what is he doing?" Lord Sylvestor said suddenly; Hera followed his gaze and got surprised too when she Micheal Zaar moved toward the Grimm Monsters.
"Is he mad? There are fifteen masters there, the leader of the company in limbo.. Even if he invoked the blessing, he is still not strong enough to contend against such force," Sylvester added.
