Chapter 1912 - Spatial Travel II

"Spatial Travel has two main components, one is tearing, and another is navigation," Councilwomen Marla said.

"Tearing requires immense strength and precision, and for it, we use much space tearing artifact. If one wanted to do the action by raw force, they need to be a peak leader at the least," She explained and moved her hand up before gently bringing it down.

As she did, she smoothly tore open the space, "Always remember, make the space tear big enough that you could pass through comfortably; otherwise, it will tear you open," She said and flew inside the tear in a smooth motion.

A moment before passed through, she had covered herself with the energy. I did not wait and stepped into the tear, but unlike herself, I had summoned my armor.

There is a huge difference of strength between her and me; while she is peak leader, I just peak elite, summoning energy layer around me is not enough to save me from the space seal unless I use some protection artifact.

Though I have the artifact, there is no need to use it; the protection of my armor is enough to save me from most of the dangers of the space sea.

As I stepped beside her, she gave me a look seeing me only using my armor and no protection later. "Now, it is a most important part, navigation." She said and removed the silver color compass from her storage, I did the same by taking out the red colored one, and its grade is similar to that of her compass.

I had gotten many space compasses from the elite Grimm Monsters I had killed in the tower, and this red compass is the highest grade one.

"Spatial travel is extremely fast, but it is also extremely dangerous; the space sea is least of its danger, the biggest danger is the wrong direction."

"The slightest change in your direction could take you into the territory of Grimm Monsters; once you do, their sensors detect you, and they hunt you down; many people had lost their lives due to it," she explained, and I couldn't help but nod.

Spatial travel needs extensive practice; an unbelievable number of people have lost their lives by ending up in the wrong place.

"Is councilman Harrison seeing the space beast in his younger days is true?" I asked before I could stop myself, and the old woman looked directly into my eyes, "Where did you hear that?" she asked. I wanted to protect my source but seeing the look in her eyes, I lost that notion.

"Elina," I said, hearing that old woman messaged her head. "That little girl should learn to keep her mouth shut or one she will spill academies secrets in gossip," she muttered before looking ahead.

"Yes, Harrison claimed that he had seen the space beast." She said, "You do not believe it?" I asked. "Space beasts are exceedingly rare that many people consider them a myth." "When Harrison saw the space beast, he was extremely injured, and what he thought he saw might be a hallucination." She said.

"Space beast is extremely powerful that Tyrant seemed to no match of them," she added without stating her opinion.

"Enough about gossip let's focus on the job," she said and activated the compass; seeing her, I did the same. "Even with an artifact like space compass, the spatial travel is extremely trickly; one has to be careful at every moment," she said and expanded the screen of a compass.

"Look here, there are two coordinates; one is space we are in, and the other is the space we have reach. We have followed its direction precisely, and as you know, each spatial tides affect the coordinates, and we come across a few hundred easily, in even a few seconds of travel," She said and pointed toward the few spatial tides around us.

We have to be careful of them; sweeping inside them has dire consequences. These space waves are as dangerous as they were when I saw them the first time. The protection layer amulet had nearly been crushed by space tide, and if not for the professor's timely help, I would have been turned to particles by the space tide.

"Now, let's begin," she said, and we slowly followed our compasses toward our destination.

Councilwoman Marla is a much better teacher than I had expected. To be honest, I had expected our lessons to be filled with snarky and condescending remarks and was kind of dreading it. Though the councilwoman, marla is not a friendly type but is an immensely attentive teacher.

She explained everything in so great detail that I bȧrėly had any questions at the end; no wonder teacher said I would enjoy her lessons. There is more to this snarky powerful woman than I had initially thought.

"We have reached our destination, and now, we have to make a tear again to get out," She said and smoothly made the tear and got out, and I walked out behind her.

This time we are in a forest, but it is not an aroma forest, "We have reached the Skald forest," Councilwomen said, we have not come much far; the Skald forest and aroma forest are the neighboring forests and have only a few hundred kilometers distance between them.

"Let's try one more time," She said and again formed the tear. This time we went to the small city called flore city, which is also part of the academy's territory, but the distance between it and skald forest is double, between the Skald forest and aurora forest.

Coulcilwomen tore the space again and went to different spaces; while we moved one space to another, councilwomen continued to explain every aspect of space travel.

I noted it all down and compared it with the theoretical knowledge I have, which helped me get an even better idea about spatial travel.

By the time evening came, we had traveled from one corner of the academies territory to another, and the lessons were far from over.
