"It's disgusting, as you pretend to sleep." Olive punched him on the shoulder.
"You want to murder your husband." Alan's eyes narrowed as if he was still sleepy.
Olive nuzzled her face against his nose. "I'm not willing to do that."
Alan grinned. "That sounds good. Come here and I'll reward you with a kiss."
They naturally kissed passionately in the morning, while had it not been for her period, they might have
had violent sex in the morning.
After breakfast, Olive said to him. "You take me to Angel."
Alan said. "Don't go to work as you're not feeling well, so you might as well stay at home."
"Mr. Hoyle, do the female employees of the Hoyle's Group get leave during their period?"
Alan thought about it and looked serious, saying. "I might consider giving the female employees two
extra days off a month."
"Ha, so all female employees at the Hoyle's Group need to thank me." Olive said with a smile. As a
matter of fact, there have been discussions online about whether female employees should enjoy the
right of menstrual leave every month, but it has never attracted any attention from any enterprise.
The Hoyle's Group seemed to be setting a precedent.
Because of Olive's insistence, Alan finally compromised, and he walked her to the door of the hotel. "If
you don't feel well, you call me at once, and you mustn't try to hold on. Did you hear me?"
"Mr. Hoyle, you are so wordy."
"I'm saying this because I care about you."
"I see." As Olive has just finished speaking, she opened the door of the car, while she turned around,
grinned and waved goodbye to him.
Alan felt angry and amused at the same time, as she was becoming more and more casual in front of
him, whereas he liked the way she treated him because he thought they were so close.
After Olive arrived at the office, before she has even sat down in her chair, the phone on her desk rang.
"Hello, who's calling?"
Norton laughed happily. "Olive, are you back yet?"
He spoke as if he thought she had returned to the company too soon. Of course, Olive heard
something else in his words, so she also said with a smile. "Do you want me to settle down with Alan in
Jin Jiang?"
"So what did you get out of your trip?"
Olive certainly heard the temptation in his words, so she didn't pretend that she knew nothing. "Are you
asking me what I have gained from my work, or what I have gained from my personal life?"
"To be honest, I'd love to know both, but I'd rather know what's going on between you and that Alan guy
right now." Norton "betrayed" her, so he didn't shy away.
"Are you in your office now?" Olive asked.
"Yes."
"Well, if you'll wait a moment, I'll be right over, reporting to you."
No sooner had she hung up than Ted showed up with a stack of documents. "Olive, you're finally back
at work, as there's a pile of documents for you to sign, and a few are urgent."
Olive said. "Give me the urgent documents, and leave the others here."
Ted has been so quick to pull out a few documents, giving them to her. Olive looked at the documents
and she signed off the ones she had the right to sign, approved the ones she couldn't sign, and asked
him to follow up. Then she went to Master Geve's office.
Since becoming familiar with Master Geve, she and he seemed to be getting along a little more
casually. So, as soon as she entered, she sat down without scruples before him. She glared at him,
pretending to be angry. "Master Geve, you're getting old and gossiping."
"Are you angry?" Norton knew that it was uncomfortable to be kept in the dark.
"Indeed, I felt a little uncomfortable at first, but I believed that you were not easily manipulated, so you
must have your own reasons." Olive did not hide her innermost thoughts from him.
Norton, who had been feeling uneasy, finally relaxed a little. As a matter of fact, he did not wish it to
make her bitter. He liked her, as he admired her intelligence, perseverance, and her kindness and
gentleness. When she said she was coming to report to him, he was shocked, for he thought she was
angry with him. She's not trying to get even with him, was she?
"Then you don't blame me for acting on my own account."
Olive felt helpless, sighing slightly. It was no use blaming him for what had happened anyway, and
because of his kindness, she lived out the seven dreamlike days. Although there had been moments of
panic, the time had passed safely for her, so she could not blame him.
"I don't blame you, and I just want to ask you not to try to trick me into doing such a thing under the
guise of official business. Because if my subordinates knew about this, I would not be able to work
here, while you couldn't blame me if I missed my work because of this."
"No, no, I'm sure you have your limits."
Norton has always felt that she was a woman of strong self-control because since he knew her, he felt
that she had a special sense of calmness. She was calmer and more reserved than her peers.
Olive snorted slightly, her voice sounding slightly annoyed. "You were quite sure of me as you had so
much faith in me long ago."
Norton thought if his daughter could speak in front of him like this, he would really enjoy the happiness
of a family, so he couldn't help smiling. "Of course, I have to make sure that you don't suddenly leave
the company." After he said these words, he suddenly stopped joking, looking serious. "I am afraid,
indeed, that I may do you more harm than good, while I'm afraid that you'll throw away your resignation
in a huff when you get back. For then I have lost more than I gained."
