The Innocent Wife of Scheming President Chapter 488: This Kid Is Too Arrogant

Alan parked his car at the front door of Haagen-Dazs store. Store like them wasn’t particularly big, but it

had to be beautifully decorated, attracting romantic young men and women.

Haagen-Dazs had a very famous advertising slogan: If you love her, take her to Haagen-Dazs.

After getting out of the car, Alan walked into the store with his wife and daughter hand-in-hand. He

loved these two women. One was his sweetheart, the other was his baby. Like his palm and the back of

his hand, they were parts of his heart.

There weren’t many customers in the store, but it wasn’t that deserted. Several couples were sitting

scattered and their appearance attracted attention.

An employee exclaimed, “What a beautiful child.”

Annie raised her head and smiled sweetly at the employee. “You’re beautiful too, miss.”

“Really?” Women were always happy to be praised for their appearance. Seeing Annie nodded with

certainty, the employee immediately laughed and her voice was unusually kind and gentle. “Then, what

flavor do you want?”

The glass counters displayed colorful ice creams and desserts of different flavors. There were also

beautiful cakes. Annie’s eyes were attracted.

She was still a child after all. No matter how mature she was, she couldn’t resist the temptation of good

food. What was more, she didn’t need to hide her inner desire in front of her parents. Unlike with

Jiangcheng’s grandma, she had to respond cautiously, behaved a little more calmly, and wasn’t being

dragged, so as not to cause unnecessary trouble to Olive.

“Dad, can I have all of them? They’re so beautifully made.”

It was when Chloe Mommy was rich and she had ever eaten once. The wonderful taste lasted a long

time on the tip of her tongue. But Haagen-Dazs was very expensive and Olive had a hard time raising

the family. One Haagen-Dazs was enough for the whole family to eat for a few days. It wasn’t a good

deal. So, although the glutton in her stomach tempting her, she never said it.

Now her rich dad had returned to her and mommy. Occasionally indulging him, blackmailing him. Not

exaggerating, but who asked him making Olive worked so hard for so many years.

Alan bent down and patted her little belly. “I’m fine with that, but can you hold everything in there? We

still need to eat later. Careful or your belly bursts.”

Olive considered that eating too much cold food wasn’t good for the child’s belly, so she suggested,

“Pick two that you like. Your stomach will hurt if you eat too much.”

Alan also said, “Listen to mommy. Dad will bring you again to eat other flavors next time.”

“Okay. I want chocolate and strawberry flavors,” Annie said to the employee after thinking for a

moment. Actually, she knew that she couldn’t taste all the ice cream flavors here at once. She just

found them beautiful and wanted all of them.

“What about you? Which one do you want?” Alan asked Olive.

Olive said, “Vanilla.”

Alan paid and the employee quickly served them according to their requests, then handed to them.

“Dad, where’s yours?”

“That’s for children like you guys.” Alan didn’t like desserts, but he felt very happy watching his wife and

daughter eat happily.

Sometimes, happiness wasn’t about how much wealth you had, but about seeing the people you loved

the most with bright smiles and satisfied their little wishes.

“Says who? Mommy isn’t a child. See those people who buy it. Besides young men and women, there

are also elderly. Hihi, I understand.” Annie playfully wiggled her eyebrows. “Dad, you want to be like

that couple, asking mommy to feed you. That’s so sweet, right? Mommy, feed daddy. I’ll pretend I’m not

watching.”

Olive looked at her weird daughter in amused and helplessly. She patted her butt. “Can’t keep your

mouth shut when you have food inside.”

“I’m not going to be jealous. Why did you hit me?” Annie pretended to sulk.

Alan picked up their daughter. “But I want to eat yours.”

“Sure. I’m happy to share it with you.” Annie held up the cup and generously scooped a spoonful into

his mouth.

Alan felt his heart go sweeter than the sweet he ate. “We’ve bought Haagen-Dazs. Then, what do you

want to eat next?”

“Buffet. I saw a restaurant across. Let’s go there, so my ice cream won’t melt.” Annie was obviously a

very planned person.

Alan was now under his daughter’s mercy. He would do whatever his daughter said. He didn’t care

where his car was parked, just leading both mother and daughter to across the sidewalk into the

restaurant.

However, Annie met the person she least wanted to see—Sean Shen. At the time, she was wandering

around with her plate, picking her favorite food.

She didn’t even know where this person came out from. He suddenly popped out in front of her, holding

a plate in his hands with just a few kinds of food.

Annie was shocked when she saw him at first. She hostilely glared at him. He was like a sticking gum.

“Why are you also here?”

“Miss, this is a place to eat. Why can’t I come when you can?” The boy stared at her with interest and

laughed.

Alan and Olive smelled something weird and they both came over. “What’s wrong, baby?”

“He ruins my appetite.” Annie was usually a reasonable and controlled person, but she always lost

control in front of Sean Shen.

It wasn’t until many years later that she understood the seeds of love had sprouted quietly at an age of

ignorance. But at that time, she didn’t understand love.

Alan saw Sean Shen and was surprised a little. Then, he looked around. Not far away, there were two

men in black who were holding plates. Although they were pretending to be ordinary customers, their

eyes never left them.

“Hello, future dad-in-law and mom-in-law. We meet again,” the boy saluted, smiling and faintly hiding

something strange.

Annie glared at this moron. She wished to seal this person’s mouth, so that he would never be able to

speak nonsense again. Huh!

“Kid, don’t call us that,” Alan warned him when he saw his daughter’s pissed mood.

Seriously, when you thought of someone, you would meet that person. It hadn’t been long his daughter

in his arms and the brat showed up, wanting to snatch her away.

The boy ignored the flames in Annie’s eyes. He looked up to meet with Alan’s scrutiny gaze and

chuckled, “I’m not wrong, future dad-in-law.”

He bit at the word ‘future’, as if he was deliberately reminding Alan Hoyle that Annie was someone

Sean Shen had to have.

This kid was too arrogant. Alan purposely jabbed his spirit, “Based on what to let you be my son-in-law

someday in the future? Based on your prestige and wealthy father, Jacob Shen? Compare to me,

although I’m not necessarily strong, I’m not weak either. What’s more, my daughter doesn’t need to add

value to herself through marriage. When my daughter is in love, even if he’s a poor boy, I’ll marry them

too. But even if that person is rich and my daughter doesn’t love him, I won’t force her.”

His implication was: Kid, it’s useless to please me. Save your strength and breath. You should go to

where you are needed. Don’t make my baby upset.

The boy still looked calm and composed. “Future dad-in-law, how do you know that one day in the

future, Annie won’t fall in love with Sean Shen?”

“I won’t fall in love with a narcissist.” Annie unexpectedly stomped the boy’s foot, then quickly dashed

away so far away. She treated him like a contagious bacteria and couldn’t wait to avoid him.

It was said that a woman’s heart was the most poisonous and it was true. The boy frowned in pain. No

one knew how Sean Shen fell in love with this grumpy girl.

Yes. He was not Sean Shen. This was an unknown secret of the Shen Family.

But obviously this family regarded him as Sean Shen. It wasn’t a wonder as he looked exactly alike

with Sean Shen. And he was happy to use this identity to tease this little bad-tempered thing who was

his twin brother’s crush.

She didn’t let him come close, but he was stubborn sticking to her. “Hey, why do you run away so fast?

I won’t eat you.”

Annie stopped and sent him death glares, “You do you, I do me. Don’t follow me, you annoying ghost.”

“This restaurant doesn’t seem to belong to you. Why can’t I go to the place you can go?” the boy said

and chuckled.

Annie felt her lungs were going to explode. She greeted her teeth and said, “You… have such a thick

skin.”

The boy laughed. “Don’t they say men need go through the mountains to chase girls? If you don’t have

thick skin, then there’ll be no chance.”

Alan casted him a deep gaze. He dared to flirt with his daughter in front of him. He truly didn’t take him

serious. Although the boy had saved his two precious women, it didn’t mean that Alan would let him

have his daughter. What era was this already?

He grabbed the kid by the collar when he was about to chase his daughter. “Enough, kid. Know your

boundary.”

He was still a child after all. As Alan lifted him up, his feet were hanging. But his good physical skills

training from early age allowed him to hold the plate steadily without spilling it.

And the two bodyguards in black rushed over immediately when seeing their little master was bullied.

They sternly said, “Let him go.”

The boy smiled and said, “Guys, this has nothing to do with you. Continue with your meal. I’m bonding

with my future dad-in-law.”

The two bodyguards looked at each other.

Alan turned around and said to Olive, “Honey, go and take care out daughter. I think I need to have a

talk with this kid.”

“Don’t scare him,” Olive reminded.

“Don’t worry.” It was weirder if this kid could feel scared, Alan thought.
