Chapter 424Chapter 424
Molly knew how he felt all along.
Molly opened her mouth, but she could not get a word out of her mouth. She was a little puzzled.
It was not because she
did not know how to reject him. Instead, she did not want to say something too blatant
since Benjamin helped her before.
Both of them kept quiet for about five minutes. There was no better response than silence.
Benjamin understood her and that was when the waiter served their food.
“Let‘s eat. Otherwise, it‘s going to get cold,” he said.
Molly nodded as she picked up the utensils. Then, she pursed her lips and
said, “I‘m sorry. I don‘t have plans for anything like that yet.”
Benjamin‘s heart hurt a little. He forced a smile while pretending to be fine. “It‘s all good. I just felt like telli
ng you that after so long. I want to let you know how I feel.”
He indeed felt a lot more
comfortable after telling Molly how he felt. “Don‘t feel pressured. Things are still the
same between us. I just hope that you‘d give me a chance whenever you‘re ready to start a relationship.”
Before Molly could even respond.
“At least give me a shot, okay?” Benjamin looked at her bitterly.Molly finally smiled because of him. ‘Why does the heir of the Forts family look exactly like a whiny woma
n now?‘
However, she still did not say anything after smiling faintly. Then, she started eating.
Benjamin stopped talking too and started digging into his food too.
Molly went back to the hospital again after the meal.
She returned home after she was done with work. She could not help but sigh as soon as she stepped in
side the door.
Those words flashed across her mind again.
“I just hope that you‘d give me a chance whenever you‘re ready to start a relationship.”
Molly walked to the living room and sat on the sofa, feeling confused. Molly clearly knew how Benjamin f
elt toward her.
However, she just could not find a way to face it. Benjamin helped her a lot when she needed it and mad
e her feel very safe.
Despite all the things he did for Molly, he was only a friend to Molly.
And, nothing more than that.
Sean was playing chess with Grandpa Dave in the living room.
He
knew where Molly was going today, so he came over purposely since he could not just sit around and do
nothing.Sean heard a sound and peeked outside. Then, he saw Molly.
He looked back at his chess game, and he placed his black piece swiftly on the board.
He took longer than usual to think since Molly had not come back yet. That game
with Grandpa Dave lasted for quite some time.
“What‘s wrong? Are you not feeling well?” Sean asked while looking at the person sitting opposite him. H
e could vaguely guess what happened.
“No,” Molly replied without even looking at him. She clearly had. something on her mind.
Sean noticed it, and he became more confident about his assumption.
His mind was not in the game anymore, and he lost in just a few more moves made by Grandpa Dave.
Grandpa Dave looked at Sean and Molly after the game was done. He could
see that both of them were a little absent minded as he said, “The game
is over now. I‘m feeling a little tired, so I’ll go upstairs now.”
“Grandpa , are you feeling sick?” Molly stood up and looked at Grandpa Dave.
“I just feel tired after sitting here
for so long. Don‘t worry. I‘ll be fine after resting for a bit.” Grandpa reassured her before going upstairs.
Sean and Molly were the only people left in the living room.
Molly looked at him and said, “I‘ll go make dinner now.”
“Sure.”The triplets were spying on them while hiding behind the rails upstairs. They only stopped looking down a
kitchen.
“What happened to mommy and Uncle Sean?” Ben said curiously.
Both of them looked so weird! This isn‘t normal at all!
