Hearing her words, Sean immediately showed a serious look and asked, "What happened?"
Alkaid had a mission. But because of Beth's identity, she still stayed by Selon's side and freely moved
after sneaking into the research base.
The people from the research base had suddenly knocked on Selon's door and taken him away in the
middle of last night.
"The people went to his room last night said Ward wanted to ask him some questions. Mr. Shepard did
not refuse and obediently went with them. Unexpectedly, he has not come back yet! After inquiring
about this matter, I found Ward has secretly imprisoned some members of the medical families related
to the research base!"
After Alkaid quickly related the whole thing, all the people in the room showed gloomy expressions.
Sean narrowed his eyes and asked, "Have you found out where they are imprisoned?"
"No, I have not found the location yet. But I have a guess."
Alkaid took a deep breath to calm herself down and continued, "There are many research labs in the
base. Lab No. 6 and all the labs with bigger numbers are on the
ground. But labs from No. 1 to No. 5 are underground. They are on the underground floor."
Edmund interrupted, "Wait a minute! Why don't I know about it? Besides, Lab No. 1 to Lab No. 5 are
also on the ground! Although I was not allowed to get close to them, I could see them."Logan nodded and asked, "Alkaid, how did you know those labs are underground?"
Alkaid glanced at them and said, "We investigated and discovered it! Master ordered us to investigate
whether Lab No. 1 to Lab No. 5 were researching and developing Venomous Insects, so we found an
opportunity and sneaked in. After we entered, we found nothing different from the other research labs
at first. But soon, we accidentally found the entrance to the underground floor."
Logan and Edmund were shocked to hear this. The research base was ridiculously large, so it had
taken several years to build it up although the worker had worked in full swing.
Therefore, they had not expected there to be an underground floor.
The project was indeed huge!
Molly was also surprised, but she soon calmed down and said, "Our guess seems right. The research
base may be developing many Venomous Insects. Otherwise, they would not have hidden those real
labs underground."
Sean nodded and analyzed, "Five labs may cover a large area but can't occupy the entire floor! It
seems they have imprisoned those people underground."
"Yes, that's what I guessed!"
Then, Alkaid became more worried and said, "If the underground floor is being used to research and
develop Venomous Insects, the people locked up there will be easily infected. If the research base
uses them for human trials, Mr. Shepard will..."
