Chapter 1358 Warm Her Up
In the next moment, Jerry pulled back his coat, not allowing her to slip in.
“Why are you being so stingy? I'm cold.” Charlotte followed, hugging her arms. She pouted and said, “I came to see
Mr. Lohan to help you get a guest spot on that variety show.”
Jerry said sarcastically, “I think Ms. Benson isn't so foolish that she can't tell the difference between 'an ambush
dinner' and a regular meal.”
“I know, but what can we do?”
Charlotte thought Brody would just say a few dirty words to embarrass her, but she didn't expect him to be so
disgusting!
Charlotte clung to Jerry's arm, coaxing and praising him, “I'm so fed up with Mr. Lohan, I just want to smash a bottle
on his head. Jerry, your actions just now were so cool and manly!”
“I noticed you haven't touched your fork. Do those dishes not suit your taste?” she asked. “How about we go for
some seafood stew instead?”

Jerry didn't say a word, he just coldly pried her fingers open.
Outside the alley, Joash, who had received the notice earlier, parked a black Mercedes-Benz by the roadside,
waiting. Jerry opened the passenger seat door and climbed in.
Charlotte hurried over, gripping the car window, “Jerry, I was wrong this morning, and I apologize to you. It was you
who started the sarcasm, and I got angry and snapped back. I didn't mean to belittle you.”
She rarely apologizes to others.
Even when she lost her temper, bullied Jerry, and scolded him, he would still try to appease her, making Charlotte
feel like it was only natural.
If apologizing could make Jerry's face less cold, then she would apologize.
“Jerry,” she bent down and looked into the eyes of the man inside the car, “you still care about me, don't you?
Otherwise, when Mr. Lohan was disgusting me just now, you wouldn't have hit him with a wine bottle.”
“Look, I'm just wearing a dress, and it's really cold. Can I ride in your car to go back, please?”
Perhaps annoyed by Charlotte, Jerry finally turned his head to look at her, his gaze cold. “Charlotte, I'm not your boy
toy to be ordered around.”
Charlotte was stung by his gaze and stammered, “I really didn't see you as a boy toy, honestly...”

She wouldn't have been with him for so many years if she truly didn't care about him.
Charlotte wanted to say something else, but Jerry didn't give her a chance. He asked her to remove her hand, but
Charlotte refused, stubbornly clinging to the car window. “Tell Fatty to unlock the car,” she demanded.
Joash said, “...”
Charlotte used to call him “that guy,” but now she calls him “Fatty.” It seems she's become quite familiar with him.
So, he was quite touched by it?
Jerry's eyes darkened as he raised his hand to press the button. The car window slowly rolled up. Charlotte stared at
him defiantly, while Jerry's face remained expressionless.
The car window rolled up to the top, trapping Charlotte's fingers. She let out a short cry of pain.
Jerry's fingertip trembled on the button.
As the car window lowered, Charlotte withdrew her hand. The area where her fingers had been pressed against the
glass had turned red and felt quite numb.
Charlotte looked at Jerry with a pained expression, “Jerry, my hand hurts...”

Today was truly freezing. The wind whipped Charlotte's hair across her cheeks, and she shivered in her thin knitted
dress. Her shoulders trembled from the cold, and her teeth chattered as she spoke.
Jerry steeled himself and rolled up the car window, his tense back pressed against the seat.
“Drive.”
Joash started the car and drove for a while. Glancing at the rearview mirror, he saw Charlotte still standing by the
roadside, her slender and delicate figure evoking a sense of pity.
Joash couldn't help but say, “Jerry, it's minus one degree now...”
“You really care about her, don't you?” Jerry turned his head to look at him, his expression gloomy. “Then get out of
the car now, go give her a coat and some warmth. I'll drive back by myself.”
Seeing him speak so bluntly, the icy slag almost sprayed onto his own face, Joash silently closed his mouth.
He really couldn't understand Jerry.
This morning, while at the magazine office for a cover shoot, Jerry secretly kicked him twice, urging him to help
Charlotte out of her predicament and to show more concern for Ms. Benson.
But now, being so indifferent to Ms. Benson, her lips have turned white from the cold wind.
