When Melissa heard the doorbell, she quickly wiped her hands and went to open the door. It was a
courier with a document for Cooper.
“Thank you.” Melissa took the envelope into the house.
Seeing Cooper standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, she wanted to hand him the envelope.

Cooper's breathing slowed down. As he opened the envelope, he wondered if Sally's response on the
phone earlier was because she had to deal with something.
