Chapter 1537: Do you want me to wear your clothes for you?

The Ji family’s mansion had an uninvited guest early in the morning; a black Mercedes Benz was parked at the main entrance long ago. Old Lady Qu, who was in the car, was applying makeup on her face using Chanel foundation. Her crow’s feet were concealed well, and she did not look like her age.

“Madam, shall I go press the bell?”

“Don’t.”

She outrightly rejected her driver’s, Old Yang’s, suggestion. Sitting at the back of the car, she looked at the mansion through the window. From the house’s exterior appearance down to its flooring, all indicated the family’s copious wealth.

The only mistress this house could have was her granddaughter.

She carefully considered what she should do when she met Ji Ziming’s mother later. If she were to engage the latter in small talk, it would appear low-class, but if she were to talk about her granddaughter’s marriage, she would appear too nosy.

“Do we have to keep waiting at the entrance until Young Master Ji leaves?”

Her driver inquired again.

“That’s right. Park the car at one side and not at the entrance. If that man sees us, it won’t bode well for my granddaughter.” She looked at the mansion and suddenly remembered that she could not let that man spot her visiting her granddaughter. If not, Qu Jingwan’s time in the family would worsen and the man would, all the more, not marry her.

“Okay. I’ll park the car at that family’s entrance; is it fine?”

Old Yang pointed at a smaller villa beside the Ji family’s. It was a European-style house, with the owner seemingly not someone average. For such a unique design, the person must have hired a team of elite architects as even the country’s top professionals in that field could not come up with that.

“Okay.”

She eyed that small villa. It looked familiar, yet she could not recall where she had seen it before.

The driver drove the car there, and both waited patiently for Ji Ziming to leave.

In his family’s house, the man stood beside the bed as he put on a black suit on top of his white shirt, which accentuated his lean stature and handsome features.

“Get up. We’re going to Red Star today to tie up some loose ends.”

From the reflection in the mirror, he saw the woman remaining in bed. The corners of his lips curled as she complained about her body aching, cursing him an early death.

“What’s wrong? Not getting up? Why don’t you rest a day at home?”

His heart ached a little. He did not wish to treat her so violently, yet he could not restrain himself when she pleaded on behalf of another man for him. He merely wanted to punish her slightly but did not think that things would end up this way.

Stay at home? No, she would rather take the three children and leave with him. She did not want to lie in bed, half-paralyzed, and attract the other women’s ‘kind-hearted’ concerns in this house.

“I’ll get up right away.” She sat up sluggishly. As her blanket slipped down, her chest was exposed.

“You… Close your eyes first!” She hurriedly pulled the blanket in order not to reveal too much.

“Do you still want me to close my eyes?” Ji Ziming turned around. His eyes were on her as he smiled slightly. “Then, do you want me to wear your clothes for you?”

“Don’t want; don’t want.”

She frantically shook her head. Having already been eaten by him, she did not want him to see the last of her exposed body.

“I’ll stand here and wait for you to put on your clothes and leave together.”

“Together. Are you crazy?”

Pei Ge objected. If they were to leave her room together and bump into his mother, how should they explain it?

“What are you afraid of? There’s no man-eating monster here. Are you that afraid of leaving with me?”

Ji Ziming could not fathom why she would rather leave on her own or leave together secretly than leave with him openly.

“I’m not afraid. You see I’m not pregnant, and you’re with me all the time. If auntie sees it, she definitely won’t feel so good inside.”

“She won’t. You’re overthinking things. Change your clothes now; I’ll wait here for you until you’re done, and we’ll leave together.”

He was adamant. Leaning on the vanity table, he eyed a certain someone on the bed.

Seeing his gaze, Pei Ge could only give in. “Then, bring the clothes in the closet for me.”

“Take them yourself.”

The man’s eyes remained glued on her. As long as she dashed from the bed, he would be able to see her shyest and most flustered expression.

“Just help me take them and I won’t ask you to leave.”

She began to negotiate with him, not wanting to appear like this in front of him. There was a big difference between now and last night. It was pitch-dark last night, while it was daytime now. She could concede to him watching her change clothes but could not accept him seeing her walk to the closet naked.

“I’m not getting them.”

The man repeated.

Pei Ge gave it a thought and gritted her teeth as she wrapped the blanket around her. Walking to the closet, she picked out a set from Chanel’s early autumn series.

Seeing her move to the closet wrapped like a giant dumpling, he strode over and quickly removed the blanket, which was the only thing covering her bare body. The blanket glided along her silky-smooth skin and slipped to the ground as though it had lost its life.

“You look better like this.”

She turned around and used the clothes in her hand to cover her important body parts as she blushed. “What are you doing?! You don’t give me clothes, and now you’re even taking my cover off.”

“Like I said: You look better like this.” Ji Ziming looked at the woman with deep eyes, causing her tiny face to turn red and white. His smile became wider and attractive as he spoke in his deep yet clear voice. “And more attractive.”

“Bully! what are you trying to do?” Pei Ge was angry as her body was exposed right in front of this man. She had never expected him to do such a thing to her one day.

“You should know better what I’m thinking. If you don’t, I don’t mind repeating it to you.”

He stepped forward and towered over her with his full height. His facial features were overwhelming. His smile showed that he had gotten his way again. This made her shiver.

“Aren’t you in a rush to leave? Can’t you let me change faster?”

When she encountered such a side of him, she knew that she could not afford to be anxious. If not, she would be the one on the losing end.

“Sure. Change your clothes in front of me without hiding.”
