Chapter 1606: A Familiar Face

“I…”

The flight attendant stammered. She finally mustered up the courage and confessed to Ji Ziming but did not expect such an outcome.

“What about you? Do you want to seduce me? Unfortunately, I don’t like that face of yours as I find it revolting.”

When the man was describing the flight attendant, his face was like a poisonous knife which bluntly dashed her hopes. It pushed her straight to hell by this demon-like man.

There was ruthlessness in his eyes which made his face appear murderous.

The flight attendant rarely saw a man like this. She had come across quite a few men and even several scions, but she had never seen one appearing as ruthless as he did.

“S-Sir, I’m sorry!”

She turned around and sobbed as she fled the living room.

The man suddenly found it troublesome to have so many women around him.

The plane flew for twelve hours straight before reaching the capital. He sorted his documents and shot a look at the table. He reached out and threw it, along with the cup, into the dustbin.

Whether it was laced with anything or not, he had no appetite to drink the coffee after seeing that woman’s disgusting display.

Ever since the flight attendant was scolded by him, she had not dared ask if he had any request. Just as the plane flew past the Ji family’s mansion, new helpers came to get their family of five in a hurry.

“Sir, what about her?”

The chief steward lowered his voice while asking the man for a decision on what to do with the flight attendant.

“Fire her. Don’t let her name appear in any of my family’s business, including holding any part-time jobs like giving out flyers.”

His soft voice was only heard by himself and the house steward.

“Yes, sir.”

The chief steward understood that the moment the flight attendant had offended their big boss, all her good luck had come to an end.

It was common knowledge in the capital that one could offend or seduce anyone except for this man.

Other companies would not dare hire someone fired personally by the man, unless the person had a powerful background or special skills. The situation would be even more dire for a lady like the flight attendant who merely wanted to spend the rest of her life living off a business tycoon.

“Ziming, what were you and the chief steward talking about?”

Pei Ge and the three children trailed behind the man, and she only asked this after the house steward had left.

“He asked if I wanted to stay with you tonight.”

The man smiled, his dangerous look immediately replaced by a gentle gaze.

“You’re lying!”

The woman shot him a glance as she did not believe that the house steward would say something like that to him. He was the only one who would say such a thing.

“Don’t believe it? You’ll see tonight.”

Seeing her pretending to be angry, Ji Ziming’s eyes were filled with the warmth of the sun which slowly shone unto his heart. Meeting her in his life was all the good luck he needed.

Pei Ge followed the helpers and entered the mansion. This place was used to maintain the Jis’ private planes and was mostly inhabited by the pilots, flight attendants, and other service staff.

The chief steward was an old hand personally trained by Ji Ziming’s father before he left the country. He oversaw several places in the capital as well as some matters of the Ji family.

“Madam, please go this way. The chauffeur has been waiting to send you, sir, and the kids home.”

The helper walked ahead as he softly spoke.

“Okay, thank you.”

She acknowledged the person’s words, while the children beside her showed no surprise. They found this place to be similar to the Ji family’s house and was merely a bigger version of the latter.

After walking through a European-inspired corridor, Pei Ge saw a glistening, black Lincoln parked at the end.

When she and the children got in the car, Ji Ziming finally strolled over. He kept speaking to the person beside him, but she could not hear their conversation as he had purposely kept his volume low.

Ever since they got off the plane, she kept feeling that he was hiding something from her. Women’s sixth sense had always been acute; moreover, she knew him very well.

It seemed that he was doing something to deal with the problems in her company.

“We can go now.”

He got in the car and the helper closed the door.

Looking at his expression, she did not initiate any conversation because she was waiting for him to tell her on his accord.

Suddenly, the car braked hard as an accident occurred on the road.

“What’s wrong?”

He coldly asked the helper who went forward to check the situation.

“Sir, ma’am, there’s an accident ahead. There’s no casualty, but there’s now a traffic jam as many cars are unable to proceed or reverse.”

The helper had rushed to report the situation, so he had not seen who had caused the accident.

“Who’s causing this traffic jam?”

The man looked ahead frostily.

“Sir, I… I didn’t get a clear look.”

The helper stood rooted on the spot and dared not breathe too loudly.

“Oh, then you stay here while I go look.”

Ji Ziming had kept the documents in his hands and was about to get out of the car when the woman next to him pulled at his hand. “I’ll go with you.”

“Okay.”

He hesitated for a moment but agreed ultimately.

They stood at the side of the busy road and found a familiar-looking man sitting on the hood of a white BMW. Pei Ge had no idea that the man was looking at him, too. Perhaps it was truly a small world. Meanwhile, the guy showed no fear on his face.

He stood there as he waited for the owner of the jeep who had knocked into his car and scraped off some of its paint to give him 300,000 yuan as compensation. It was daylight robbery to ask for such a hefty sum when the problem could be solved by a small bottle of paint, yet Qu Xiujie was not afraid of asking for that much; he would even snatch the 300,000 yuan if needed be.

The jeep driver was, of course, unwilling to pay, so they called the police and he talked about suing Qu Xiujie.

“Let’s go.”

After learning about the situation and seeing all the cars stuck there like dice, Ji Ziming knew that there was no way of ending this fast, but he was not anxious to get the police officers to ease the traffic for him.

It was rare for him to be in a good mood, so he instructed the driver to head to the mansion using another route.

Meanwhile, Qu Xiujie turned around after squabbling with the jeep driver and saw that Pei Ge was no longer there.
