Chapter 89: Shamelessness
When she saw the sudden tall figure, Su Wan was slightly stunned. She had not expected Lu Qingyu to come personally to Beitong. She had thought that he would pass projects like this to his subordinates.
Lu Qingyu still had that playboy look. His face was still handsome and devilish. He was wearing a light pastel shirt with the top two buttons unbuttoned and a pair of loose trousers.
While Su Wan was examining him, Lu Qingyu was looking at her from head to toe too. He smiled at Su Wan and his amorous eyes were alluring.
They had not seen each other for quite some time. Su Wan looked different. Every gesture of hers had a sense of femininity. This was not logical—hadn’t Su Wan parted with Gu Zihang? Why was she in good spirits?
He was initially thinking of taking down Su Wan, their high school’s untouchable flower, while she was disappointed in love.
“I didn’t expect to meet you here, Miss Su. That day, when I deserted you at the Su residence, did your family do anything to you?”
Su Wan was uncomfortable with Lu Qingyu’s teasing. She avoided his gaze and her voice was calm but distant.
“Don’t worry about me. I’m fine. Master Lu, are you here to look at the development zone too?”
Lu Qingyu looked around at the scenery smilingly and then fixed his eyes on Su Wan. He nodded.
“Yes, Beitong has broken and rotten houses. I didn’t want to personally come here at first. If I had known my luck was good enough to meet Su beauty here, I would’ve picked you up on my way here!”
Lu Qingyu was boastful and his gaze was frivolous. A sense of deep detest flashed through Su Wan’s eyes. She hated men who flirted with girls every time they spoke.
“Master Lu, I’m not a beauty and my house is not on your way. I still have things to do. I’d best be off now.”
Lu Qingyu raised his brows and an alluring smile crept on his face.
“Su Wan, don’t leave so hastily. We were schoolmates before. I heard there’s a newly developed hot spring on the mountain of Beitong. Do you want to go with me to try it out?”
Although Su Wan knew Lu Qingyu’s character, his words still arose a great dislike in Su Wan’s heart. Did he regard her as a dumb person to go to a hot spring with a man she had no relationship with?
“Master Lu, please speak with respect. I’m married. If you wish to go to the hot spring with someone, please go somewhere else.”
Su Wan threw her words, turned and was about to leave but she had not expected Lu Qingyu to follow her and catch up to her pace.
“I was just joking. Why are you so serious, Su Wan? How could you possibly be married? Don’t lie to me, Su Wan.”
Su Wan had just returned from abroad for a little more than a month ago and Gu Zihang had switched his love to her cousin sister. Where could Su Wan find someone to marry? She could simply be saying something to dodge him.
Lu Qingyu refused to be misled by fallacies. He chased up to Su Wan and because he was tall and his legs were long, he blocked Su Wan’s path very quickly.
Su Wan was speechless when she saw Lu Qingyu’s relentless pursuit. She waved the wedding ring on her left ring finger and her voice was sarcastic.
“This is a wedding ring. Master Lu, you’re able to recognise it, yes?”
When he saw the wedding ring, Lu Qingyu was stunned at first but then, there was a devilish smile on his handsome face.
An arrogant and unruly woman like Su Wan was indeed difficult to conquer but wasn’t this challenging?
There were too many women who came close the moment they saw him and he was fed up with those. An occasional appearance of a woman like Su Wan would be a flavor for his life.
Lu Qingyu came close to Su Wan. He smiled faintly and raised his brows, “So what? Among the women who came after me, there were married women too. As long as I wanted, they would come in groups.”
Vulgar!
Su Wan widened her almond eyes and looked at Lu Qingyu in disbelief. She had underestimated his lower limit. He was too shameless!
She threw Lu Qingyu a cold and stern look. Su Wan didn’t want to stay with this man any longer. She marched forward, not bothering whether or not he followed her.
To her knowledge, Lu Qingyu had always liked girls who delivered themselves to him, or at least, when both parties were willing—he would not take the initiative to force a person. In broad daylight like this, Su Wan was not afraid of him.
The CEO of the Lu Group would not capture her in broad daylight, would he?
Su Wan ignored Lu Qingyu. Along the way, she observed many places repeatedly, including the hot spring he mentioned. Beitong’s hot spring was indeed a luminous point. It would be wonderful to build a hot spring hotel here.
When she looked up, there were shadows all over the place, perhaps because the trees had grown here for many years and they were green, blocking the scorching sun from above. The cool breeze kept brushing her cheeks, making her feel pleased.
Many projects flashed through Su Wan’s mind. Her inner energy and confidence of taking down this bid was increasing, probably because she liked this place.
Just as Su Wan was repeatedly contemplating about how to write a better plan, Lu Qingyu’s voice appeared near her ears again.
“Su Wan, you’ve got great footwork. We have walked the entire morning and there are still many mountain roads ahead. Don’t you feel tired?”
Su Wan stopped and saw Lu Qingyu still trailing behind her. Just now, Lu Qingyu was nowhere to be seen.
Su Wan raised her head slightly and darted a side glance at the panting Lu Qingyu. Her words were sarcastic. “I don’t feel tired but your physique is worse than a girl. You must have been busy”
When he heard Su Wan’s tone of voice, he smiled devilishly, as if not ashamed of this.
“I’m mostly busy at night. Last night, a pair of sisters wanted to squeeze me dry so I’m a little tired today but Su Wan, if you are interested to try, I think I’ll be able to satisfy you.”
He was extremely shameless!
Su Wan thought she must be crazy to start a conversation with a guy like him. She snorted coldly, her good mood spoilt by Lu Qingyu.
She looked at the watch on her wrist. It was 11.30am and it was nearly time she found a restaurant to have her lunch at.
Su Wan took a deep breath and was about to go down the mountain. She did not expect Lu Qingyu, the thick-skinned guy, to follow her.
“Su Wan, don’t you feel hungry after walking for so long? I know of a good Western restaurant near here. Do you want me to bring you there?”
When Su Wan saw Lu Qingyu smiling while staring at her, a sense of debility arose in her heart.
Lu Qingyu had been following her the whole morning and her inspiration had been interrupted. It was annoying!
If this persisted into the afternoon, Su Wan would want to hit him!
