Chapter 271: Xuecheng, I Feel Terrible
Jiang Xuecheng carried Su Wan and went straight into the elevator. Su Wan curled up in his embrace and she could hear his strong heartbeat.
Both their postures were intimate. Su Wan bit her lips and couldn’t help looking up at his face so near her.
The light in the elevator was not very bright but it lit up Jiang Xuecheng’s firm and handsome face. His clean breath hovered in Su Wan’s nostrils and her breathing increased.
The flame in her which had been contained for a long time had as if been ignited once more and it sprang to her limbs and bones.
Her heart kept thumping and Su Wan tilted her head sideways unnaturally. She didn’t dare look at Jiang Xuecheng’s face, afraid that she would let out some strange noise.
Although Su Wan didn’t say anything, from her little gestures, Jiang Xuecheng knew the drug had taken effect.
Jiang Xuecheng’s deep eyes landed on Su Wan with a trace of imperceptible heartache.
“Wan Wan, just hold on a little longer. If you really can’t, let’s take a room here?”
In a blurry state, Su Wan had as if understood what Jiang Xuecheng meant. She moved as if being struck by the electric current and shook her head vigorously.
“No, not here, I want to go home.”
Anzhi Tinglan Hotel had topped Su Wan’s blacklist from then on. She would never come to this place in the future.
Before Su Wan’s voice died down, Jiang Xuecheng could feel her strong abhorrence.
Just then, a sharp ding was heard and the elevator door opened.
Jiang Xuecheng carried Su Wan out of the elevator toward the entrance.
Su Wan suddenly saw the bright lights outside and felt frightened. She leaned her head against Jiang Xuecheng’s embrace.
“Xuecheng, I feel terrible, really terrible,” she murmured.
Su Wan choked on her voice like a little kitten and then her hand slid down uncontrollably on his shoulder and back.
She was so close to Jiang Xuecheng and had long relaxed. Even the last bit of her rationality was almost gone.
Jiang Xuecheng pursed his lips. When he looked at Su Wan now, wasn’t it testing his self-control?
Moreover, Su Wan was rubbing him all over. He looked calm now but was actually controlling hard…
That moment, the people in the lobby were still around. Sheng An’ning and Jiang Haoxuan saw Jiang Xuecheng walking out of the elevator with a woman in his arms. She knew the answer immediately.
Su Wan was covered in a blanket, revealing only her head, leaving space for one’s imagination.
Sheng An’ning could not see Su Wan’s entire face but when she saw Jiang Xuecheng’s cold look and carrying Su Wan lovingly, she guessed things had not turned out the way she wished.
Su Wan was really lucky!
Sheng An’ning gnashed her teeth. If she had known that Gu Zihang was useless, she should have found several beggars instead. Those people wouldn’t have a tender heart for Su Wan!
Jiang Haoxuan was passing a piece of tissue paper to Sheng An’ning. When he saw the fierceness in her eyes, he was terrified.
“What’s wrong, An’ning?”
Sheng An’ning’s body shook and regained her senses. She took the tissue from Jiang Haoxuan and smiled weakly.
“It’s all my fault today. I’m relieved to see that Sis-in-Law is alright.”
Jiang Haoxuan was taken aback for a moment. Instantly, he thought he was mistaken. How could the pure, kind, and innocent Sheng An’ning be so fierce?
When Jiang Xuecheng had gone to look for Su Wan just now, Sheng An’ning had explained everything to Jiang Haoxuan.
“You’re too naïve. If it wasn’t for your sympathy for Gu Zihang, you would not have asked Sis-in-Law out on his behalf to give him an opportunity to apologize to Sis-in-Law. Who would have thought that he’d do such things? You’ve only done something wrong with good intentions. It isn’t your fault.”
Hearing Jiang Haoxuan’s consoling words, a little trance appeared in Sheng An’ning’s beautiful eyes. When she was about to say something more, she saw Jiang Xuecheng walking toward her.
Sheng An’ning was shocked. She stood up immediately and showed a bitter smile and a regretful look.
“Brother Xuecheng, is Sis-in-Law alright? I…”
Before waiting for Sheng An’ning to finish her sentence, Jiang Xuecheng’s lips were pursed into a straight line. He darted a side glance coldly at Sheng An’ning and his deep voice had a frightening murderous intention.
“You’d better behave yourself. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
Sheng An’ning’s smile slacked. She staggered and almost fell backward. Luckily, Jiang Haoxuan was alert enough to catch her in time.
Jiang Haoxuan wanted to explain for Sheng An’ning but seeing Jiang Xuecheng’s dark face and Su Wan who was wrapped in the blanket, he shut his mouth.
Jiang Xuecheng, on the other hand, didn’t want to bother about them. He walked out of the crowd directly. Ah Si had asked someone to drive his car over and when the bodyguard saw them coming out, he opened the car door immediately.
Jiang Xuecheng placed Su Wan carefully on the co-driver’s seat and after buckling up for her, he stepped on the accelerator and sped home at the fastest speed he could.
Su Wan was drowsy. The minute she parted from Jiang Xuecheng, she felt she was like a person dying of thirst leaving the water source. She reluctantly grasped the cushion and could only open her eyes in perplexity.
“Xuecheng, I feel hot. I feel terrible.”
Jiang Xuecheng tilted his head to look at Su Wan. He felt she was about to break away from her seat belt and jump straight at him.
Jiang Xuecheng’s heart was chaotic at that moment. He was angry at Sheng An’ning for giving Su Wan such a heavy dosage of the drug but his heartache toward Su Wan’s current state took the wheel.
Jiang Xuecheng switched on the AC and adjusted the temperature to the lowest possible, trying to make Su Wan feel more comfortable.
Su Wan blinked and her eyes were watery. It seemed to her that the AC was far from adequate to resist the heat in her heart. She tugged at her seat belt as if trying to struggle out of her bondage.
“Wan Wan, don’t move!”
Jiang Xuecheng was frightened by Su Wan’s action. Luckily, Su Wan was not conscious enough and after pulling for a long time, she couldn’t find the correct way to unbuckle her seat belt.
Jiang Xuecheng was afraid Su Wan would do something right here. So, with lightning speed, he drove back to Fontainebleau and didn’t care that he was speeding.
He parked his car as fast as he could and unfastened Su Wan’s seat belt. Su Wan kept rubbing uncomfortably and when Jiang Xuecheng carried her, she hung on him like a koala bear.
This was the first time Jiang Xuecheng had seen Su Wan in such a passionate state. He knew it was the drug effect. There was still a lingering fear in his heart when he thought of today’s incident.
On the other hand, Su Wan didn’t care much. When she smelt the familiar clean breath, she felt like a person who had been in a drought for a long time, finally finding a spring.
She impatiently climbed up to Jiang Xuecheng’s neck and pressed her lips down…
