Chapter 1049 Adeena raised her voice and spoke.

Adeline slowly looked over and instantly recognized Adeena.

She was only part of the working class, so she had a very strong impression of people like Adeena,

who seemed rich at first glance.

She moved her lips to speak but could not say anything.

She had been crying for so long that her voice had become hoarse.

If Grapie had not shielded her at that critical moment, she would have been the one lying in the ICU

now.

She had just adopted Grapie not long ago, but they had grown very close as mother and daughter.

Even though Grapie’s fate remained unknown, she refused to leave.

She just kept sitting there.

When Adeena saw how she looked, her eyes became teary for some reason.

She turned around to hide her tears. She also wanted to see that little girl.

Through the glass windows, she looked at the previously agile and active little girl who was lying on the

hospital bed. Her body was full of infusion tubes as she lay there in undetermined condition. Adeena’s

heart could not help but tighten. She softly asked, “Mrs. Harris, what blood type does Grapie have?”

Adeline drank some water, and her voice finally sounded better. “It’s a negative Rh blood type. It’s

difficult to find worldwide, and unless we find Grapie’s parents, we can’t help her.”

There was a glint in Adeena’s black eyes.

She dared not give Adeline false hope. As such, she kept quiet and just walked toward the doctor’s

office. When she stated the purpose of her visit, the doctor immediately arranged for a nurse to

withdraw her blood.

She still needed to wait twenty minutes for the result.

So, Adeena walked into the corridor and sat beside Adeline.

Adeline cast a glance at her. The moment she noticed that Adeena’s wrist was covered with disinfected

cotton wool, she asked in surprise, “Ms. Willis, what’s this?”

“I just gave it a try. Maybe I’ll match?” Adeena leaned back in the chair and softly said, “You’ve spent a

lot of

money to save Grapie, haven’t you?”

Adeline shook her head. “Money isn’t important . I just want Grapie to recover.”

Adeena did not know what to say.

She suddenly felt a little frightened. She was actually hoping that Adeline would give Grapie up.

That way, she would be able to reasonably adopt Grapie.

“The doctor says if no suitable blood is found, Grapie might not be able to survive.”

Adeline cried again. In truth, she had also been suffering from heavy pressure. She could not get

pregnant, but just when she finally convinced her family to adopt a child, a car accident happened soon

after the adoption.

Her nearby relatives and neighbors told her that Grapie was a misfortune to the family, and they

wanted her to abandon Grapie as early as possible.

How could she do that?

She was reluctant!

She would rather get a divorce than lose Grapie!

Adeena sat in the corridor quietly. Time passed by quickly, and before long, it had been twenty minutes.

She got up and went to the reception to get the test result.

“Your blood type matches with Peachlyn Harris.” The nurse appeared surprised. “Grapie will be safe!”

It turned out that Grapie’s real name was Peachlyn Harris. Adeena was not fond of the name.

However, it had been given by her parents . Adeena did not have the right to comment on anything.

She followed the nurse to the blood – drawing room and closed her eyes as she let the nurse withdraw

400ml of blood.

Her face quickly turned pale as if all her blood had been withdrawn.
