Chapter 795
Colton bent over as he spoke, casting a cloud of pressure over Nicole. She took a step back, but the car behind her
was in her way.
He kept approaching closer, granting her nowhere else to run. Gulping down her saliva, she lifted her gaze onto him
and whispered, "We're in public, President Gardner. Watch your actions."
He chuckled upon hearing her submissive voice. He lifted his palm, which landed on her cheek and pinched her
skin.
A shudder ran through her body, but she bit her lower lip to prevent the embarrassing sound from escaping her
lips.

His fingers slowly traced along the outline of her face before they reached her chin, and they descended toward
her neck. Just as she was going to say something, he stopped the teasing and smiled as if nothing had happened.
"Hop on. I'll give you a ride home."
Her cautious gaze landed on him as it exuded an air of incredulity. He broke into a smile and reciprocated, "What's
the matter? Are you afraid that I'm gonna bite you?"
Her lips pursed into a thin line, for she was truly afraid he would do so. Her hesitance prompted him to promise.
"You won't be able to escape if I'm planning on doing that. Get in the car. I'll take you home. You're feeling weak,
and I won't do anything to you."
Having said that, Colton opened the car door and slid into the vehicle first. Meanwhile, Nicole pondered for a
second and decided to accept the offer in the end.
No one talked along the way; it was a pin-drop silence.

He did not take any cheap shots either, fulfilling his promise and bringing her home safely. The moment she
alighted from the car, she heard a gentle voice. "Nicole."
She paused momentarily and turned around, only to see that it was Zachary. She responded softly, "Zach…"
A smile beamed on his face as soon as he saw Nicole. He sauntered to her while saying, "I was worried about you,
so I waited by the door. I was going to give you a call, but I figured that I might get in your way."
She grinned at his cordial words. "It's nothing."
"So, how's Madam Gould?" inquired Zachary casually.
"No biggie, but she's still unconscious. She should be fine when she woke up," she recounted briefly.
He nodded and smiled gently. "It's been a rough day for you."

"I didn't help with anything." She shook her head and smiled lightly. At first, she rolled up her sleeves and went to
the hospital because she heard that Siobhan hurt her head. In the end, there was nothing she could help with
either.
While they were indulged in the conversation, the man in the driver's seat alighted from the car. Then, he strode to
the middle of the duo.
Noticing that it was Colton, Zachary lifted his head with a faint smile. "Thank you for sending her home, President
Gardner."
Colton's expression was somber as he pulled Nicole into his embrace. In a provocative voice, he replied, "Don't
sweat. She's my woman, anyway. It's my duty to take her home."
Although there was no hint of anger on Zachary's face, he reached out to yank her over to his side. His voice did
not lose its gentleness either. "Please refrain from saying such misleading words, President Gardner."
Colton put on a smiley face while grasping her other hand. "How is it misleading? Nicole is mine. I'm sure you're
aware that Hayden is my son. Right, President Yates?"
