Nicole didn’t offer too much an explanation. “Joanna Schmidt, you can do something about it if it makes
you so upset. I don’t have time for this.”
Joanna’s face fell further. She had pondered over it for a long time, and only came to Nicole after she
barely managed to put down her pride. And now she is brushing me off and rejecting me with just a few
