Chapter 159 Crazy Demon?

When Dilan saw that the last ordinary Silver Wolf met its death due to the interference of the Deer-Bears, he used every ounce of strength within his body to increase his speed once again.

When his speed crossed a certain threshold and the distance to the battlefield had decreased visibly, Dilan used five Units of Mana to activate the [Thunder Step] ability.

Simultaneously, he used the [Momentary Strengthening] from the Balrogs leather gloves, consuming five Units of Mana in exchange for an increase of 10 Strength units!

Feeling the excitement within his body intensify the moment he sensed his raw power coursing through his veins, Dilan leaned forward before he shot through the masses of Deer-Bears.

He ignored their existence and appeared next to the Blue Tiger, which was the closest powerful monster to him.

The moment Dilan activated the [Thunder Step] ability it noticed that something was odd. Every strand of hair on the Tigers body had stiffened.

This was more than enough reason for it to activate its water armor the instant it noticed that its life was in danger.

If the Blue Tiger had activated its armor just a fraction of a second later, Dilan would have killed it.

However, as its reflexes were fast enough, Dilan could only keep smiling, while regretting having been too slow himself.

The water armor had erupted from the Blue Tiger the moment Dilan appeared next to it. He thought of trying to pierce the armor nonetheless.

Yet, just when he thought about doing so, Dilan noticed something from the corner of his eyes.

In an instant, he disappeared from his earlier location and appeared ten meters ahead.

But that was not all as Dilan disappeared once again.

The instant after he reappeared once again, the Gray Slayer in Dilans hand slashed through the air, aiming for the opponent he had targeted.

Using [Gale] twice had consumed 10 Units of mana, leaving Dilan with merely 25 Units of Mana.

He had just used 20 Units of Mana in a single second, without killing a single opponent.-.

One would usually call this a waste.

However, if any of his team members would have seen Dilan cut through the neck of the Silver Wolf Leader as if it was merely tearing paper, nobody would be capable of telling him off.

The excitement and bloodlust that shone in his eyes were more than enough to scare every single person, who was all talk and no show.

Of course, it was wasteful to use almost half of his Mana at once but it was not as if Dilan had problems replenishing his mana.

Rather than it being a problem, Dilan would gain a lot from replenishing his mana!

While the Silver Wolf Leaders blood splattered on his face, Dilan used [Bearer of Pain] to replenish the 20 Units of mana he had just used up.

This drained him of 40 Units of his Health but Dilan did not even have the time to watch how his Life force was sucked out of him.

He was way too excited to fight against the Blue Tiger in front of him.

Earlier, it was just the Silver Wolf Leader that had caught his interest but that was not the case anymore.

His whole attention was on the Blue Tiger, whose Water armor was similar to [Aegis shield]!

Dilan didnt believe that the Blue Tigers water armor could match the toughness and durability of his [Aegis Shield].

Thus, he blasted his body ahead once again while ignoring the Silver Wolf Leader, whose body slumped to the ground, and an Ability crystal formed seemingly out of nowhere.

With a quiet clinking noise, the ability crystal fell to the ground right next to the Silver Wolf Leaders corpse.

Dilan failed to notice this as he had already emerged in front of the Blue Tiger.

His speed had once again increased as he had sacrificed 40 Units of his Health. This was more than a third of his total Health, which was why his occupational passive ability [Bracing Pain] amplified his prowess by close to 25%!

Astonished by the sudden increase in its opponents speed, the Blue Tiger could only insert more mana into its defense.

It began to retreat as well and was ready to turn around and run for good.

Dilans strength, his pressure, and the air around him were simply too terrifying, even for the Blue Tiger.

Maybe if it hadnt been injured, the Blue Tiger would be more confident in its capabilities, however, right now, after having been severely injured, the opposite was the case.

The Blue Tiger was trying to think of ways to increase its chances of survival. In the face of a demon-like figure such as Dilan, this was easier said than done.

Only the high defensive trait of the water armor calmed the Blue Tiger a little bit as the impact of Dilans Gray Slayer was evenly distributed through the entire armor.

Dilans attack was not able to pierce through the water armor, even though Dilans current strength rivaled a Peak Tier-1 existence, whose Strength was still within the natural limitations!

This astonished Dilan a little bit but it was far from discouraging him.

Instead, he became more excited at the sight of his blade being unable to pierce through his opponents defense.

Yet, even before he could retract his weapon and issue a second attack, the Blue Tiger pounced upon him.

Dilan was simultaneously able to sense that all the Deer-Bears were on their way toward him and the Blue Tiger.

This caused him to shake his head and force himself to stay calm.

He did not let the pressure overwhelm him, and Dilans smile turned even brighter.

If any human were to see him, they would wonder whether he was insane, still a human or if he was possibly a crazy Demon.

Even Dilan was not sure about his current state but he couldnt help but feel exhilarated.

His heart was beating wildly and adrenaline coursed through his body.

The dangers he faced right now were simply too much for any normal existence to endure and overcome.

However, Dilan was still smiling as he activated [Aegis Shield]. Ten units of mana were consumed, and a huge blue shield was manifested in front of Dilans empty hand.

His other hand was still holding the Gray Slayer, which he had yet to fully pull out of the Blue Tigers water armor.

But that was no problem anymore as the Blue Tiger landed on [Aegis Shield]. It slashed at the blueish shield, confident to destroy it in one hit.

Yet, instead of cracking, not even a single scratch could be seen on the shields surface.

This prevented the Blue Tiger from attacking Dilan and ending his life, which was the plan the desperate Blue Tiger had come up with.

Feeling the heavy weight on top of the Aegis Shield, Dilan used his entire force to push the shield away from him.

The Blue Tiger flew through the air and landed on the ground only four meters away from him.

Dilan wanted to go after it but he quickly noticed that this was impossible.

From his right side, the remaining 30 Deer-Bears charged at him. They were ready to kill everyone in their proximity, whether it was for the sake of taking revenge or to simply vent out their pent-up frustration.

The Deer-Bears had been played by the Silver Wolves, only for the Blue Tiger to appear seemingly out of nowhere.

The fact that another opponent had dared show up was too much for them, which was why they wanted to subdue everyone in their surrounding.

However, Dilan was definitely the wrong opponent to target.

Looking over with a frustrated expression, he could only grit his teeth.

I would have taken care of you fuckers as well! You should have stayed behind, and patiently waited for me to end the Blue Tiger!!

Dilan wanted to kill the Silver Wolf Leader and the Blue Tiger first before annihilating the rest.

Unfortunately, the Deer-Bears had shown up and messed up his plan. They prevented him from enjoying the fight against the Blue Tiger.

Thus, Dilans expression and mind were overflowing with rage.

Activating his only offensive active ability [Mana Slash] by consuming 25 Units of Mana, Dilans Gray Slayer turned blueish-white in an instant.

He had been holding on to the saber while pushing the Blue Tiger away from him.

Tightly grasping the Gray Slayer that was overflowing with his mana, his lips twitched as the weapon began to vibrate in his hand.

Slashing it horizontally at the group of charging Deer-Bears, Dilan saw a large crescent beam being released.

Its length easily crossed the threshold of a dozen meters.

Cutting through air, it blasted through every little obstacle in its way, whether it was air, dirt, fur, hide, flesh, bones, and even internal organs.

For a short moment [Berserk Mana] had been activated without Dilans realization.

There was a spike in adrenaline because of the high pressure he faced. Additionally, his excitement to fight the Blue Tiger was overwhelmed by the short burst of anger as his fight had been interrupted by the Deer-Bears which was more than enough to actively use [Berserk Mana]

However, that was not something Dilan wanted to do.

After all, he knew the aftermath of using [Berserk Mana], [Bracing Pain], [Thunder Step], and his other abilities in unison.

It would force him to enter a weakened state.

Contrary to his expectations, Dilans eyes were still full of vigor despite deactivating [Berserk Mana] a mere second after it had forcefully been unleashed. His eyes held a glint of excitement emerging from the depth of his body as he saw the satisfying sight of the pestering Deer-Bears annihilation.

Thats what happens if you pester me! Dilan just thought, his grin turning wider when he was certain that each Deer-Bear had been killed at once!

The Mana Slashes cut through them like butter before blasting into the building wall that was several meters behind the battlefield.

It cut through the wall and left Dilans sight.

Upon seeing the dead bodies of the monsters he had ended with a single attack, Dilan didnt even give them a second of his time.

They had interrupted his fight so their death was inevitable!

Now, I can finally take care of you Blue Tiger?

Dilan had turned back to the position where the Blue Tiger had been seen last but there was not a single trace of the monster.

Despite turning around in all directions, he was not able to see it and neither was he able to perceive a powerful monster in his proximity.

This left Dilan with only one conclusion, making his expression turn sour at once.

Ita|ran away?
