Chapter 477 Warfare (5)

A being manifested out of Darkness emerged outside the Gate of Demons. It had lengthy, razor-sharp claws that radiated a miasma of utter darkness and it slashed them toward the front without a second of hesitation.

Several black claw marks were released from the claws of the black Demon, who roared out in anger upon realizing that Chaos Monsters were charging at it.

"How dare you summon monsters out of my Master's fragment?!?" The black Demon shouted at the top of his lungs before his crimson eyes darted in Dilan's direction.

'This one is stronger than the others,' He realized with a bright smile.

"I just needed to summon a Demon, and the Blood Eclipse Necklace chose you. You can complain to the creator of the artifact if you're mad," Dilan answered calmly before he pointed at the huge masses of the Hordes of Chaos and Destruction.

"So it was you who was stupid enough to summon me, the Great Kaeldur?" The black Demon, called Kaeldur, thundered but Dilan was unfazed. His eyes were completely emotionless and did not hold even the slightest trace of fear.

"Yep," He stated with a shrug, "and you will heed my commands for the next 60 minutes!"

Dilan pointed at the Chaos Monsters, a large number of whom had been killed by the nonchalant slashes Kaeldur had issued with his claws.

"You're quite powerful, so have fun and kill all Chaos Monsters you can find!" Dilan ordered and began to smile lightly while adding as an afterthought, "and destroy their Swirls of Chaos, so I can feed the corpses to the Chaos Islands!"

Dilan was not even the least bit bothered about the killing intent the black Demon released in his direction as he gave out his orders.

Until now, all Demons had been unwilling to follow him and it was pretty obvious that Kaeldur wouldn't be different from the batch of Demons he had encountered until now.

"Fuck off, you peasant! Why would I bother listening to your commands?!" Kaeldur spat in disgust. But if he had been meaning to irk Dilan with his response, failed miserably. Instead of frowning, a faint smile emerged on Dilan's face in response.

Yet, when he accessed the Blood Eclipse Necklace to forcefully control Kaeldur and make sure that the black Demon would heed his commands, Dilan noticed that the Demon was completely unbothered.

"Hahaha, you think that something as simple as the Blood Eclipse Necklace can control me?" Kaeldur started to laugh mockingly when he noticed that something was tugging at his Soul. This something was trying to make sure that he would follow his new 'Master's' commands for the next 60 minutes.

However, this failed miserably as the black Demon's Soul was protected by the Seal of his late Master.

"The only beings, whose commands I will ever follow is the Lord of Darkness, Damian the True Destroyer, or the Eclipse Child of Chaos…his birth will be glorious, just like his rise toward greatness!!" Kaeldur's voice reverberated through the surrounding area but nobody except Dilan and Rory could understand him.

The Demonic language was not something ordinary people could learn easily, but Dilan was far from ordinary.

Thus, he couldn't help but look at the black Demon with a trace of interest as he disobeyed his commands.

"So you're saying that the Blood Eclipse Necklace is strong enough to summon you, but I cannot control you?" Dilan asked, wondering if it was necessary for him to cripple Kaeldur to forcefully make him do what he wanted.

While his mind was in a disarray, he slashed the Blessed Blade and the Cursed Dagger toward the masses of Chaos Monsters that had arrived in front of him.

A highly lethal Destructive Slash was issued, cutting everything in its way into pieces.

Meanwhile, as the lives of more than a thousand Chaos Monsters were reaped at the same time, Dilan never averted his attention from Kaeldur, who looked at him with a trace of curiosity once he witnessed the young man's strength. pan(da-n0vel.c)om

"You don't really need my help, do you?" Kaeldur had been fuming in anger when he awoke from his deep slumber. He had hoped that his new master would appear in front of him, but the reality was the complete opposite.

A stranger, someone completely unrelated to his late master, had summoned him from the depth of the Soul Fragment he had been sealed inside.

But the uncontrollable anger he had felt for a short instance had quickly evaporated at the sight of the Power of Destruction that the seemingly ordinary human wielded easily.

"I just summoned you to make sure that my people will be protected and the Warfare against the Hordes of Chaos and Destruction would end as quickly as possible. This shit is taking way too long!" Dilan felt a weird sense of friendliness for the black Demon. This was definitely unusual but Dilan didn't actually mind it.

It made things a lot easier because Dilan couldn't properly converse with beings he didn't like at all.

Kaeldur's personality was to his liking as he didn't allow others to control him, whether they tried to force themselves onto him, or through different means.

"The Hordes of Chaos and Destruction? These playthings?...Are you making fun of me?" Kaeldur's three-meter-tall, the human-like figure turned over to the Chaos Monsters. He slashed at them several times, releasing dozens of claw marks before he shook his head.

"These are replicas, bad ones at that. Their powers do not truly belong to them, and they're just borrowing the powers from the original source…This is a really sad sight…" He said with an expression that couldn't get worse.

"Replicas? They're not really strong, that's true…but replicas?...Somehow that makes me feel like a loser…" Dilan tried to laugh it off but he was quite disrupted by Kaeldur's revelation.

It was true that he didn't think much of the Chaos Monsters after he started to face them head-on, but his people were fighting with their life on their line.

They were truly giving their best, yet, it looked like they had not even come across the real deal.

"The Hordes of Chaos and Destruction are just a mini-project belonging to the Primordial Ascension Project. You should witness the real terror of existences born in Chaos and Destruction when your world opens up to the other places," Kaeldur said as an offhanded remark.

Dilan noticed that Kaeldur was aware of the Primordial Ascension and that his knowledge was pretty high as well.

"If it's like this, how about you help me accelerate killing these fakes? I want to see how strong you are!" Dilan was getting excited while looking at Kaeldur.

He could tell that the black Demon was really strong, but it was also pretty obvious that his power was different from that of an Ascender.

"You noticed it, didn't you? I can tell that from your eyes. You know that I'm not using the same power as you have, don't you?" Kaeldur asked and his expression changed into a grimace.

Dilan looked at this expression with a deep frown but he still nodded his head.

"You don't have an Essence crystal, do you?" He asked, feeling pretty sure that he perceived the situation properly.

"I have a Mana Core, and the Essence of Darkness as well," Kaledur revealed and Dilan nodded his head once again.

He had read about Mana cores in various novels and could roughly gauge that they were similar to Essence crystals, allowing Kaeldur to become a lot stronger.

"But what is the Essence of Darkness?"
