Chapter 634 Forgotten Chat

Dilan was not sure how much time passed but when he was finally by himself anymore he slumped deep inside the soft bed that embraced him tightly.

He was lying on his back and took a few deep breaths.

"The overall strength of the Ascenders in the flying island should increase a lot in the next few months, even if their stats and level might not change that much. That's pretty good…but what am I going to do now?" He wondered while stretching out his arms.

In fact, Dilan already knew what he was going to do. There were lots of things for him to accomplish and too little time for a single person to do everything.

'Thankfully, I don't have to put aside any Essence crystals to make up for the energy the simulation rooms will use…'

Dilan truly appreciated everyone's help, especially since it allowed him to use a few Essence crystals for himself and to have one burden less to take care of.

Once the Image's extra essence would be used up, Dilan should have advanced to the fifth Tier. He was pretty confident in that, and that he wouldn't have any problems progressing further ahead in two years.

His progress would only accelerate until the very end. Dilan was not willing to take a few steps back, just to start running. If necessary he would bulldoze everything in his way, while running further ahead!

That was also why he was currently reconsidering what the most efficient way was to increase his strength.

"I don't even need to focus on the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique to use it at any time of the day. My body will even use the technique when I'm unconscious, or headless…I should hunt large monster hordes, absorb three Essence crystals of every type of monster and give the rest to the Hyel Destructo Armor. The monster corpses should also have a use. Either I give them to the Artisans, Bianne to have some more meat, or I will sacrifice them to some Temple…well I don't know about that…"

Dilan was trying to come up with the smoothest strategy to become a Demi God as quickly as possible. He was pretty sure that it was not necessary to rush anything but Dilan was getting tired of being unable to use the techniques he had learned for ten thousand years.

His entire being desired to use all the mighty and flashy techniques he had learned, in a wild combination, without his subconscious thinking about his body being torn apart.

Dilan couldn't even use a single technique properly without his True Undying Essence being required to fix his body. It was quite frustrating, and Dilan would have long since turned insane if he didn't possess his Origin ability.

? It was time to change up the rules a little bit.

'My first goal is to use a single technique without breaking my body, I guess?'

Dilan ended up organizing his thoughts a little bit. He summoned the system's notes and wrote down a few things.

He was not sure if he would ever take a second glance at the note but that didn't really matter.

It helped him to calm down, empty his mind, and fall at ease.

"Ah…there was also that…I completely forgot about her," He muttered all of a sudden when he saw the small letter icon that led to the Divinity Messenger Board.

Siegfried had added him to a bunch of groups before but they weren't that important right now. His gaze landed on a chat that he hadn't opened since he left for the City of Trials.

There were more than a dozen messages in the chat, unopened and waiting for him.

"Ariel Silvertale…I wonder how you've been. I didn't expect you to be waiting for me," Dilan mumbled while opening the chat without any expectations.

However, what unveiled itself in front of him was more than just a little bit interesting. In fact, it was very interesting…extremely interesting!

Most messages were rather short, sent in a span of a few months but the reason why they were sent to him was to bother him with the notifications one would usually receive from a direct message.

There were a total of three large messages, one sent to him a few days after the Fourth Awakening had been initiated, one message a year after the Fourth Awakening, and another message ten years after the Fourth Awakening.

Reading through the messages, Dilan felt a little bit complicated.

He hadn't been close to Ariel Silvertale in the past. If Dilan would have to describe their relationship, they were acquaintances or information traders. As for friends, Dilan didn't really think that he could think of Ariel Silvertale as a friend. She told him to abandon the system once, without stating a proper reason.

Dilan was pretty sure that she didn't have any good intentions when she said that. Of course, he might have wronged her for that, but it was weird for someone who desired to have the system to tell someone else to abandon the exact same system.

Something was wrong with that logic and Ariel Silvertale didn't give him a reason to believe that her intention had been good at that time.

She didn't say anything about it, which made it even worse in Dilan's opinion.

Despite the broken trust, Dilan had been in need of a knowledgeable informant. Ariel Silvertale was what Dilan had been looking for at that time, and rather than searching for a new informant, he made use of Ariel.

She could have been lying to him but her information had always been truthful. That was why Dilan had simply presumed that she was not able to lie.

Some races had certain Flaws, or so Dilan would label it. Races with a very close tie to powers related to light, holiness, and purity would possess a higher affinity to those powers as long as they followed the ideals of their powers.

Thus, they wouldn't be able to do something truly vile, lie with bad intentions or kill someone just because they were in their way.

It would decrease their affinity toward the powers that allowed them to be mighty powerhouses!
