Chapter 688 ’Weakest’ True Gods?
A year after Dilan departed, he returned to the flying island.
The flying island seemed to have grown in size and it had turned into a huge metropolis. More than six million humans were now living on the flying island and Dilan could sense the presence of more than ten Lesser Gods, some of them even human.
He began to smile brightly when he realized that some of his comrades had created their sealed faux Divinity. He was not sure what ingredients they had used for their Divinity, but some of their special traits, abilities, Origin ability, or something related to oneself was the most likely ingredient to be used to create a faux Divinity in such a short time.
Milarn was mapped entirely and he even made some friends on his way while passing through the territories of thousand or more territories. He was not really bothered about most races or Lesser Gods but there were a bunch of interesting characters, whom he got to know.
There were also a bunch of human territories that were directly affiliated with other races. Dilan told them that they could go to Camsun if they wanted to because there was a large flying island for them to live on. He didn't really intend to increase the population of the flying island. Instead, it was his plan to give other humans the opportunity to return to the 'old time', if one wanted to label it such.
Most humans would probably be happy and feel much more secure when being on the flying island and around other humans, or human-like races.
While traveling around, Dilan always used different means to cover his face and identity. Sometimes he wore a mask, other times he froze most of his head, and there were laso times when he used the Flame of the Beginning to cover his entire head. He looked like Hellrider then but it didn't really matter.
As long as he protected his identity everything was fine. Unfortunately, his identity also involved that he was human. Thus, he used different means to change his skin color into a bright blue, then green, and sometimes also in different colors. Dilan didn't hesitate to use his altered mana to replicate new limps. Thus, he was sometimes in possession or horns, four eyes, six arms, four legs, a tail, or a completely different body structure.
It was quite interesting to play around with his Ring of Infinite Constitution ability, which was what he had to make use of most to replicate body parts using various types of mana at the same time.
All the changes and attempts he made to hide his identity worked out very well. Many wanted to stop his advance through their territory, but only a few were able to get a glimpse of him. And even if they got a glimpse of him, it was not as if they could see a lot.
Some territories were extremely large, which was also why he had to fly trough them three to four times when he made his circles around Milarn. After the second time, the Lesser Gods and an extremely weak True God were waiting for him. They immediately showed hostility toward him even though he never attacked them in their territory. The only thing he did was to fly through their territory, nothing else!
In the end, Dilan was forced to fight against a bunch of Lesser Gods and against three of the weakest True Gods.
But it was in these days that Dilan wondered who was idiotic enough to label any kind of True God 'weak'.
What kind of True God could be considered ordinary or weak? They all went through their own crisis, overcame various hurdles and they advanced nonetheless. Their kill count was in the millions, at the bare minimum, meaning that they survived while millions of more or less powerful beings died at their hands in return.
It was impossible for them to be weak. The exact same applied to the Sun God. He had never been weak, but his strong points never stood a chance to win against Dilan. That was why Dilan had labeled the Lesser God as weak, just because his physical strength and speed hadn't been up to the standard that Dilan had expected to encounter.
Nonetheless, he defeated the True Gods, whom he had labeled as the weakest because Milarn hadn't restricted their entrance. It simply meant that their True Divinity and the prowess of the True Gods were not strong enough for Milarn to fear getting obliterated.
Dilan understood the intention that stemmed from Milarn and he was quite thankful for it.
The True Gods he fought died against him at the end of the day. There was still some time left before he would have to fight against stronger True Gods, which was an even greater surprise.
Now the biggest question was whether the Queen's Oracle had found the best locations to place the Chaos Obelisks and what items he had to collect to construct them.
Old Jeff seemed to have advanced as the quickest Demi God in life because he had advanced to godhood. His Essence Crystal was not yet filled but Dilan could clearly sense his Divinity. That was a great surprise, and it couldn't have come at a better timing.
Old Jeff and his friend, the Lesser God Archangel, who was also a blacksmith, had lots of work to do in the near future. After all, they were supposed to construct the five Chaos Obelisks in a flawless manner and in record time.
Of course, they would need the necessary materials before but it was already great to know that there were two Lesser God blacksmiths who could give their utmost to finish the products before they would be installed with the need to protect them.
Thus, the only questions that were left to solve revolved around the question on how they would protect four Chaos Obelisks that would be installed at completely different locations and where to collect all materials to construct the Chaos Obelisks, to begin with!
