Theresa was shocked. When Eugene broke up with Cristina, he left without telling Cristina. Was
it because of this?
Jack ate a peanut and said to Theresa, “I met him once before when I was abroad. You know what?
His mother hated him so much that she threw things directly at his head. He did not resist and his head
was covered in blood, but he still coaxed his mother to eat. If my mother had done that to me, I would
not have cared about her anymore. Eugene was so tolerant.”
