Looking at the two little ones who got up early in the morning and went out to play with Roderick,
Charlie remembered Theresa saying that he didn’t like kids and wasn’t good for them…
Every word she said made him so upset.
Eugene looked over at Charlie and greeted him, “Mr. Calsis, did you sleep well last night?”
Charlie would drink so much last night largely because of Eugene.
Hearing Eugene’s words, Theresa felt her face heating up.
Although Eugene was just greeting Charlie, Theresa couldn’t help but think more about it.
Eugene turned to Charlie and said, “Mr. Calsis, you weren’t drunk last night?”
Charlie, of course, would not admit that he was drunk, “Yes.”
“Then let’s drink some more tonight.”
“That’s fine.”
“That’s enough of you.” Roderick said, “Are you guys out for drinking? It’s enough to drink once in a
while and it’s not good to drink every day.”
Eugene said, “What’s wrong with that? If everyone was like you, the wine sellers wouldn’t be able to
sell their wine!”
Roderick laughed, “Then you guys keep drinking, and I’ll go back this afternoon.”
“Why are you leaving so soon?” Eugene looked at him.
Roderick said, “There are some things at the hospital that need to be dealt with by me.”
Theresa said, “I’m going back tonight, too.”
She had stayed until now because she had asked Mr. Garson for leave.
Mr. Garson had just called her and told her to go back today anyway.
Dick needed her so much that he was going to get mad if he couldn’t sleep well.
Charlie sat aside. Hearing Theresa’s words, he looked over at her, “You’re going back too?”
With Roderick?
Theresa was afraid that he would think too much, so, she explained, “I have some things to do and you
guys can play a little longer over here. After all, you have come over.”
It’s the weekend, so, it’s not too late for them to go back tomorrow morning.
“Why don’t I know you have something to do?” Charlie looked over at her.
She hadn’t even bothered to hide her relationship with Roderick in front of him anymore since they
signed the divorce agreement?
Theresa said, “Of course, I have something to do with work.”
Hearing her words, Charlie gave a cold laugh, “Are you sure you want to go to work? Or do you just
want to go with Roderick?”
When he said this, Raderick, who was sitting on the side, went angry, “Charlie, you’re overdoing it.
Theresa and I am not the kind of relationship you think we are.”
“Really?” Charlie said, “I have eyes, with which I can see. Forget it. You guys eat and I’m not eating!”
He finished and stood up, “I’ll go back first.”
He had thought that he could keep Theresa and the kids’ company if they were going to play over here
for a while longer
But he now realized that there was no need for that!
Charlie turned to Leonard and Ben and said, “Leonard, Ben, you two come back with me.”
Of course, he would take his kids with him so as not to let them stay here to be the third wheel for
Theresa and Roderick
Ben sat in his seat, looking at Charlie, and saying, “Dad, you’re not going to eat?”
Charlie said, “Yes, I’ll go back to eat.”
He really couldn’t eat here.
Ben looked at Charlie, “But… I want to be with my mom.”
