Chapter 52: Mortgage Slave

Yun Xiangxiang remembered that MonRoe didn’t really have any Asian spokesperson after her initial excitement. China aside, there weren’t any spokesperson from any other countries except for European and North American countries.
Why were they recruiting a spokesperson in Asia out of the blue, not to mention a newbie like herself? She had a lot of questions. Even so, she did not call He Wei to ask him.
On the other hand, she applied for leave with Lin Jialiang. She finished most of her part. Since her performance during filming was great and even put the filming ahead of schedule, Lin Jialiang approved her leave graciously.
Yun Xiangxiang booked a flight for that night and raced to the airport to fly to Beijing.
She only messaged He Wei before boarding her plane, and there were already people picking her up once she disembarked. They drove to Huan Yu Tower. It was the company for Huan Yu Century Entertainment. He Wei was waiting for her here.
They made a beeline to the house that He Wei had arranged for her after she got into his car. It wasn’t far from Qingdao University. They would arrive in twenty minutes if they drove.
It was in a high-end community that was sequestered from most eyes. The house was a duplex that was refurbished a la Chinoiserie. Yun Xiangxiang fell in love with it at first sight.
The house was about a hundred and eighty square meters. The first floor had the living room, kitchen, gym, and a big porch. The second floor had a study, a master room, and three guest rooms.
“This house belongs to you from now on. I’ll deduct the money for its payment from your pay in the future.” He Wei took Yun Xiangxiang to register her fingerprint before deleting his. From now on, only Yun Xiangxiang could open this door.
Yun Xiangxiang asked tentatively, “How much does this house cost…?”
“Not much, only twenty million yuan.” He Wei said nonchalantly.
Yun Xiangxiang used to live in Beijing for ten years. She was clear about the prices of houses here and had an approximation about the price of this house. However, she estimated that it would be about twelve million yuan. This was unexpected…
She played in three films and didn’t spend a lot. She only had around seven million yuan if the money she got from “Justice and Selflessness” was added.
She instantly became a mortgage slave!
“I’ll give you a third of the money tomorrow. It will be in the form of instalments. I’ll try to clear the remainder within the year.”
Yun Xiangxiang really liked this house. It was also located in a place that was convenient to her. Driving to the company would not take more than an hour, while driving to the school would not take more than half an hour.
“I don’t lack this kind of money,” He Wei glanced at her calmly, “But hand over your money to me. I’ll bring you to meet someone tomorrow. He’s my classmate when I studied abroad. He will be your financial manager from now on.”
Yun Xiangxiang nodded hurriedly. She was just about to ask He Wei herself. Most actors and actresses actually had their own financial manager. They specialized in helping the actors and actresses to earn more money with money.
“Anything else?” He Wei asked.
“Nothing for now.” Yun Xiangxiang shook her head.
He Wei took his suit and walked out, “Rest early. The sheets in the master room are clean. I had the hourly housekeeper clean them beforehand. This is a brand new house. I already had people prepare your skincare products and necessities. Tell Coco if you have any special requests. There are some fruits in the fridge.”
“Be careful when you drive, Brother Wei.” Yun Xiangxiang politely reminded He Wei when she sent him out of the house.
He Wei nodded.
Yun Xiangxiang assessed the house meticulously after she closed the door. All sorts of furniture were readily available. The living room was around sixty square meters that was connected on both stories. It appeared quite spacious.
There were fifteen wooden armchairs that were made of Phoebe zhennan: A big coffee table; a couch near the wall. There was a low table in the center. A jardiniere was standing at both sides. There was a bonsai that brimmed with lush greenery sitting in the jardiniere.
Rosewood lamp stands flanked the jardinieres. Two club chairs were placed at the left and right of the end table. There was also a jardiniere between the seats. There was also a bonsai in it. Standing opposite the couch near the wall where the TV was were two cube shaped stools.
All of them were engraved with traditional carvings. Their ornamentations were exquisite. It was quite magnificent. Brocade cushions that were beautifully embroidered sat atop the stools
The kitchen measured around thirty square meters. The mahogany kitchen cabinet stuck to the wall. One of the walls had steamers installed. There were also two side by side fridges.
There were only fruits and mineral water in the fridge. There was a working desk made from crimson marble at the center.
It was connected to the dining hall that measured ten square meters. The table was made of Phoebe zhennan. The chair was made of the same material, but they had flower shaped engravings on them.
All that was left was the gym. It was a private gym that took up eighty square meters. All kinds of equipment were readily available.
The study in the second floor stood around twenty square meters. Bookshelves took up all the space in front of the four walls. It was full of different genres of books. Famous literary works; philosophy works; and law books.
There was even one bookshelf that was dedicated to domestic and foreign books about computers.
A long desk sat in the center of the study. Four computers were standing on the table. Yun Xiangxiang found out that they were hidden cameras when she got closer to inspect. They showed the space outside her front door and the first floor as well.
There was also a mini pantry connected to the study.
All three guest rooms were fully furnished but were covered by white cloth. The big room that measured twenty square meters had a toilet and bathroom.
The smaller rooms took up ten square meters. They were connected by a toilet and bathroom in the middle that measured ten square meters. The room that was left was the master bedroom.
The master bedroom measured seventy square meters. The cloakroom measured twenty square meters. The bathroom, washroom, and dressing room were interconnected and took up around fifteen square meters of space. The bedroom that stood around thirty square meters even had a separate space to receive guests. Even so, the room was still spacious.
Not only were the skincare products and toiletries all prepared; even half of the shoe rack in the cloakroom was filled. The clothes and shoes were all branded items. The remaining space was given to her probably because He Wei took her own preferences into consideration.
The clothes and shoes weren’t bought specially by He Wei. Who knows how many brand companies had ties with big companies like Huan Yu Century Entertainment. Taking these clothes were easier than breathing. All of these were given by the company. Yun Xiangxiang accepted it, to go without saying.
She took a bath after that. Yun Xiangxiang noticed that most of the skincare products weren’t sold in the market when she was doing skin care. Most of them were highly customized; some of them were even used by Yun Xiangxiang in her previous life.
She suddenly felt that He Wei might have paid some part of the price from his own pocket. Or else this house wouldn’t have only cost twenty million yuan.
Yun Xiangxiang was elated. This house suited her more than any mansion or villa could have.
The house was planned sufficiently for the whole family to live in. She could buy another one that was similar in size when her parents were willing to come over.
On the next day, the doorbell rang just when Yun Xiangxiang stepped out of the shower after her morning workout. She didn’t change her clothes yet. She saw He Wei who was carrying something standing outside the door through the computer in her study. Someone was standing behind him.
She immediately went downstairs to open the door. After He Wei stepped aside, what greeted Yun Xiangxiang was a handsome face that would make even the heavens jealous.
The chiselled face had distinct outlines. His eyes radiated a chilly gleam. His eyebrows were obsidian black. An insouciant smile spread across his thin lips, and his wheat-colored skin radiated the charisma of a mature man.
