Chapter 367: He’s My Servant Today

“Ah Mian…” Yun Xiangxiang suddenly had the strength to break free from Tang Suran, and she ran toward Song Mian.

She tripped after a few steps and was going to fall forward.

Song Mian sprinted and took her into his strong arms before she fell.

“You’re careless,” he admonished her gently, and there was still worry in his eyes.

For some reason, Yun Xiangxiang smiled as she was scolded, and her eyes twinkled as she looked at him. She liked seeing him like this.

Song Mian didn’t care if Tang Suran was still here. He princess-hugged Yun Xiangxiang and nodded at Tang Suran as a greeting before taking Yun Xiangxiang back to the room.

Tang Suran didn’t follow them, and she left quietly.

“I think I like the feeling of being sick now.” Yun Xiangxiang squinted as Song Mian placed her on the bed carefully, looking languid and relaxed.

“I can spoil you this way anytime you want, so don’t torture yourself.” Song Mian looked stern.

Yun Xiangxiang snuggled against his embrace. “I’m not a weak lady, nor will I pretend to be one.”

Her past life’s experiences had dictated her to never be a weak woman. If it wasn’t because she was weak now, she would feel disgusted if she treated Song Mian this way all the time.

Just imagining it was enough to make her feel like she was faking herself.

Song Mian held her bandaged hand, and he looked pained for her. “I love and fear your strength.”

Song Mian had never experienced how painful that drug felt like, but he knew better than anyone else, as he was a doctor.

She had to be unbelievably strong to keep on biting herself to keep herself sober.

Only if she was sober enough could she warn those who got near her. She could have been under the drug’s spell when Tang Zhiyu came.

Tang Zhiyu would go up to her no matter if it was out of concern or the host’s hospitality.

The drug’s spell would get even stronger if she felt a man getting closer to her, and the consequences could have been disastrous.

Yun Xiangxiang placed her uninjured arm on his hand. “Don’t blame yourself, Ah Mian. None of us are gods, so none of us can predict this.”

Song Mian wanted to bring her to the Tang residence this time, and no matter Song Mian or the Tang family would expect this to happen in the Tang residence.

Nor did they expect the culprit to be someone they trusted, even though she was just a pawn.

Yun Xiangxiang thought about the deaths of the Tang family members, and she guessed that there might be an unexpected spy among them.

But this was the Tang Family’s matter, and she wouldn’t remind them, since it wasn’t her business, and she didn’t want them to think she held a grudge against them.

Yun Xiangxiang suddenly grabbed the corner of his shirt during his silence and revealed the spot with the bloodstain. “What did you do?”

“I went after the culprit, but he escaped.” Song Mian’s gaze darkened.

The mastermind was truly someone who could damage the Tang family time and again, so escaping quickly was a given. But he was locked on in a few hours, and even so, the mastermind was too alert, even throwing a smokescreen at Song Mian before he left.

“Those who dare to go against the Tang family are no ordinary men.” They wouldn’t dare attack the Tang family if they had no skills.

Even Guangdong’s local boss—the Tang family—was defeated time and again, and that was a testament to the mastermind’s cunning and power.

He knew Song Mian was here, and yet he still dared to toe the line. The mastermind probably had thought of the consequences of failure to the point of escaping if Song Mian got enraged.

“Then let’s see if he can escape to a place without the Song Family’s influence.” Song Mian sneered.

“So you know who he is?” Yun Xiangxiang asked.

Yun Xiangxiang wanted to know the person who hurt her so she could look out for him.

“He’s a cunning man. In his seven years of living here, he made a lot of friends, but nobody found out that this was a fake identity.” Song Mian couldn’t confirm his identity. “He has a lot of money though, so I’ll trace him through his financial source.”

“It’s the Tang family’s matter, so you shouldn’t interfere too much. That bloodstain on you…” Yun Xiangxiang realized that Song Mian hadn’t explained this yet.

“There are some skilful men around him, and we fought,” Song Mian explained. “Don’t worry, I wasn’t hurt, nor did I kill them.”

Seems like this person is special. Yun Xiangxiang could only blame her bad luck for coming across someone like this at this moment.

She knew Song Mian wouldn’t lie to her, and she felt sleepy. “I’ll wash up and sleep now. I’m tired.”

He had known her for more than a year and had gotten along with her for the same amount of time, but he never saw her acting cute to him like a child.

Her velvety voice melted his heart with its warmth.

He took her to the bathroom and wiped her hands and her face with a hot towel, and he even bent down to wash her legs for her.

He squeezed out some toothpaste on her toothbrush. Yun Xiangxiang washed herself up, but she didn’t sleep yet.

“My skincare routine.” Yun Xiangxiang sat on the bed and swung her legs as she pouted in dissatisfaction.

Song Mian took her makeup bag over, and the sheer number of small bottles confused even his knowledgeable self.

He might have been the one to ask someone to make these with pure plant extract, but all he did was order the experts to do this.

He knew everything in there, but as for the sequence…

“Hahahaha…” Yun Xiangxiang knew men knew nothing about makeup, so she wanted to see him in a dilemma.

Song Mian was adorable when he was facing a hard problem. If it wasn’t because she was weak, she wanted to pounce on him and rub his pretty face.

She rolled on the bed and laughed, turning to look at the standing Song Mian who let her laugh at him as she liked.

Song Mian pulled her up after she was done laughing, and he hugged her from behind. “Which one goes first?”

Yun Xiangxiang didn’t tease him further, and she arranged all the stuff she needed in order, and she even prepared the tools for him.

Song Mian applied the products on her face carefully. Even though he was a total amateur, he didn’t hurt her, as he controlled his strength.

He did it professionally when it came to the acupoints on her face. The routine was supposed to be done in ten minutes, but he took nearly half an hour to do it.

Yun Xiangxiang suspected that he was taking advantage of her. When he was done, her eyes were drooping.

The moment Song Mian tucked her in, she fell asleep.

She didn’t notice that Song Mian was sleeping beside her at some point.
