Chapter 317: The One Who Saved Her
When Faye returned to her home, Song Qian and He Wei hadn’t come to her house yet. She saw her father sending a guest off himself.
Eric rarely sent someone away in person. That person must be someone of great status and power.
Fei Yi glanced at the man; she recognized the devilishly handsome man. Faye greeted him, “It’s an honor to meet you, Mr. Lucifer.
“It’s a pity that I must say goodbye to you, Miss Faye,” Lucifer replied curtly and waved goodbye to Eric before getting into his car.
When the car had gotten some distance away from Eric’s home, Lucifer made a call. “Find out where Yun Xiangxiang is and where Faye went just now.”
Lucifer saw that scented ball Faye was holding being bought off by Song Mian in the auction that year.
Song Mian wouldn’t give this scented ball to Faye, and he did follow the ‘scandal’ about Yun Xiangxiang.
Since Eric was the one who settled this matter, then Faye must be the one who started it.
This scented ball could only be given to Yun Xiangxiang by Song Mian. If Faye had it, that meant Yun Xiangxiang was in Faye’s hands.
“In the end, you still find yourself locked in a cage, beautiful little peacock.” Golden light gleamed in Lucifer’s sea-blue eyes.
When he first saw Yun Xiangxiang, she was in a dress decorated with peacock feathers. The way she pridefully defeated Doris did make her seem like a proud peacock too.
He didn’t expect her to be Song Mian’s fiancée. Lucifer wondered which part of this young, unromantic girl managed to attract his nemesis—Song Mian.
When they bumped into each other in Milan by chance, he wanted to find out the answer himself.
This seemingly inexperienced girl managed to force him to let her go once.
He was one of the blue bloods. His pride would not allow him to involve an innocent lady in a war between men.
That credo restricted him. He would go on to provide her with irresistible terms and romanticism.
And yet she would continue to turn them down; she could even guess that he was behind it just through a couple of questions.
The girl was young, but her beauty, dignity, intelligence, and sagacity were exceptional.
Given enough time, she would bloom into a gorgeous flower; she would become a generation’s beauty with a charm that few would be able to resist.
Lucifer’s phone rang again. When he took the call, his men had already found out what was happening.
Lucifer listened to their report. “Call the police to help the poor girl.”
When Yun Xiangxiang regained some degree of consciousness, she could feel herself being tied tightly; her mouth was blocked by something.
Someone seemed to be talking outside. The conversation was in English. She shook her head to keep herself awake, but she could only catch one in every three words of the conversation.
She could guess that she was about to be sold, and the person trying to sell her wasn’t trying to bargain. Instead, he told the buyer to send her to a designated place.
He warned them that if they didn’t follow his orders, they would be inviting death.
Yun Xiangxiang didn’t keep on listening to the conversation. She started storing her strength, as the rope might be cutting into her.
But she didn’t train a year of jiu-jitsu for nothing. When she regained her strength, she could break free of her constraints.
Before they could finish their conversation, someone suddenly roared. As they spoke too quickly, Yun Xiangxiang’s muddled mind could only catch two words: Stop! Police!
The car immediately revved up, and she could feel herself being tossed around; it must not be on a smooth path.
The car had the stench of poultry. She was maybe in a truck that transported it.
The truck stopped after it drove for a few minutes. Yun Xiangxiang could hear someone talking, but it wasn’t clear; the police would probably check the truck.
She wanted to kick around and make some noise, but she couldn’t muster up any strength to even knock on the box beside her.
Yun Xiangxiang was trying hard to save herself, but the truck had already revved up again…
She didn’t give up since she still had a chance. These people couldn’t be here just for her.
They wouldn’t leave until they had all the people they bought. If they sent her away first, that would be better, as there wouldn’t be as many people who would follow along.
She could feel her strength returning bit by bit. When she had fully regained her strength, she knew she could find a way to escape.
Unbeknownst to Yun Xiangxiang, Lucifer was already quietly tailing the truck that was carrying her.
Lucifer wasn’t planning on saving Yun Xiangxiang. He was merely curious to see how Yun Xiangxiang would use her wits to get out of this situation.
But unfortunately for him, he would never get to see it. His men told him, “The Song Family is here.”
“How long?” He was asking how long would it take for the Song Family to cross paths with the truck Yun Xiangxiang was on.
“Ten minutes.”
“What a shame…” Lucifer sighed. “Do it, and make sure you don’t leave any trace.”
Just as Yun Xiangxiang struggled to get out of the rope, the car suddenly braked when she was about to get one hand free.
Several dull thuds followed. Someone opened the door of the compartment she was in, taking her and the box she was in away.
Yun Xiangxiang quickly pulled her hand out of the rope and forcefully connected the dislocated part back.
As she made a noise with this collision, the people beside the box quickly opened it. Two unfamiliar faces greeted Yun Xiangxiang.
Before she could move, they had already covered her face with a white handkerchief. She blacked out again without being able to do anything.
When she woke up again, she saw a beautifully decorated ceiling while she was lying on a soft, luxurious bed. She sat up immediately.
Yun Xiangxiang noticed that she had changed into new clothes. She was in a strange, elegant, European-style room.
But Yun Xiangxiang calmed down when she noticed that her ring was there.
She must have been rescued. The rescuer wasn’t malicious to her, but they were not going to let her go either.
Yun Xiangxiang got down from the bed and went to the room’s door, and it was firmly locked. She opened the curtains and tried to push the window to no avail. Yun Xiangxiang knew she was in at least the fourth floor of a building through the scenery outside.
There was limited visual feedback from the scenery. This was a castle-like villa that was built on a mountain lodge. The villa employed a French-style design.
The sun was setting, and yet she didn’t feel hungry. That meant she wasn’t out for long.
If the rescuer changed her into new clothes in such a short time, they couldn’t have brought her to another city.
She must still be in Paris.
Faye abducted her in the first place. Someone in Paris knew Faye and went against her, and yet refused to release Yun Xiangxiang…
Yun Xiangxiang noticed an alarm bell lying beside the bed; she pulled it.
A little slit on the door was pulled open, revealing a pair of unfamiliar eyes that belonged to a woman.
“I want to see your master, Mr. Lucifer!”
