Chapter 127: Who’s Still Not A Foodie?

[I actually saw Almighty Xue and Emperor Lu following the same person at the same time in my lifetime]

[Making up a headcanon where two guys are fighting over one girl {😏}]

Wei Shanshan also blew up in the Four Seasons group.

[Wei Shanshan: Student Yun Xiangxiang, tell me honestly. Why did my Emperor Lu follow you!]

[Yun Xiangxiang: I’m filming the same film with him. That’s what I can say for now.]

[Wei Shanshan: …]

[Fang Nanyuan: Fang Nanyuan has left the group]

[Yi Yan: Yi Yan has blocked the member Yun Xiangxiang]

[Wei Shanshan: I’m going to coop myself up now. I don’t want to talk. Please go to sleep, Student Yun Xiangxiang. Thanks.]

[Yun Xiangxiang: Yun Xiangxiang obeys the order.]

Yun Xiangxiang would feel lighthearted every time she talked to them. Their friendship had already stepped into its second year now. It had been a year and a half since the last time they gathered. They no longer even had the occasional greetings, but even so, she felt that their friendship would not change.

Just as Yun Xiangxiang was about to log out, Wu Zhao added her into the temporary group for “The King’s Plan.”

[Wu Zhao: I’ll let Lu Jin’s case slide. Everyone else is prohibited from following Yun Xiangxiang currently @Everyone]

[He Xingzhou: I have already opened the main page…]

[Sun Qiluo: I also plan to follow.]

[Hou Cang: +1]

[Wu Zhao: I plan to use Madam Xi’s back view for the promotional poster after we finish filming. It adds some suspense.]

Madam Xi was a famous beauty. This would lead to a lot of speculation by a lot of people. Yun Xiangxiang was stunning enough. This film was different from the previous ones. Wu Zhao still had to create sufficient promotion after the filming was done. He wanted to lead the audience on by keeping Madam Xi’s identity behind the veil.

If everyone on the team followed Yun Xiangxiang at this time, guessing the actress for Madam Xi would be a no brainer.

[He Xingzhou: But Brother Jin is already following her. Brother Jin is the main male lead. It wouldn’t be impossible for them to guess correctly.]

Lu Jin’s influence wouldn’t be any lower than Xue Yu’s. Lu Jin’s results could dominate Xue Yu’s when it came to the film industry.

The reason why Xue Yu could stand as equals with Lu Jin was because his singing was also outstanding too.

The reason why Lu Jin was called “Emperor Lu” was because he got too many best actor awards [1]. He was the emperor in the domestic film industry.

[Lu Jin: Leave this to me. I will distract them before the promotion happens.]

[Wu Zhao: Okay, then I’ll leave this to you.]

The group quieted down after that. Yun Xiangxiang had just logged off, then her phone rang. It was Lu Jin who was calling.

“I have an ad here that just happens to need a female protagonist. Are you willing to be in it?

It turned out that when Lu Jin was saying that he would distract the fans, this was what he was referring to.

It was a good way though. Actors that followed each other usually must already have some collaboration between them.

The fans would be able to explain it if Yun Xiangxiang and Lu Jin already had a collaboration before “The King’s Plan” was made public.

“What kind of advertisement?” It was a chance to make money. Yun Xiangxiang of course wouldn’t let it escape.

“Sports car,” Lu Jin answered.

“Thank you for the care, Brother Jin. I still need to ask Brother Wei before I am able to give you a reply,” Yun Xiangxiang said that after she heard what Lu Jin said.

She must ask He Wei about the direction of her endorsement path. Even if taking part in an ad didn’t count as being a spokesperson.

Besides, the chances of being a spokesperson for items such as sports cars were slim for actresses like her. It wouldn’t affect her too much. However, she still had to respect He Wei.

Lu Jin agreed to it and said good night before he hung up.

Yun Xiangxiang looked at the time. She called He Wei as she felt that he might not have gone to bed yet.

“It’s already so late. You aren’t sleeping?” He Wei was quite surprised.

“I have something to tell Brother Wei…” Yun Xiangxiang told He Wei about the story from start to end.

“I’ll go to your filming venue tomorrow to sign the contract with Cao Chi. I’ll see Lu Jin to get the details then,” He Wei answered after a moment of deliberation. “I’ll help you in making the decision after I understand it clearly.”

“Okay, I’ll go to bed then. Rest early, Brother Wei. Goodbye.”

It was already twelve o’clock when she hung up. Yun Xiangxiang immediately turned off the lights and went to sleep.

Yun Xiangxiang didn’t neglect to get up early to train in the hotel’s gym room even if she was in a hotel. She had the hotel’s breakfast before riding a car to go to the filming scene before the designated time.

The shooting was basically done in the former Chu territory in Hubei province. According to history, the place was where the nation of Xi and the nation of Cai stood. There were also the historical sites of the Xi county and the Cai county. They were built to look nearly identical to the actual sites.

Yun Xiangxiang immersed herself in it. However, it was impossible for her to not get scolded. Wu Zhao and Xiong Ao were two searchlights. They could nitpick even the smallest mistake. Wu Zhao and Xiong Ao would scold anyone in front of everyone.

Lu Jin didn’t escape the fate of getting scolded either. Yun Xiangxiang couldn’t understand those who ran away because of the scolding. Even Lu Jin was scolded. Wouldn’t it be normal for her to get scolded too?

Lu Jin was scolded the least out of everyone on the team. The extras got an even worse rebuke. Yun Xiangxiang actually saw someone weeping from getting scolded.

Wu Zhao and Xiong Ao were different people once they got out of filming.

Even when Sun Qiluo nicknamed Wu Zhao the Wu Knife, and Xiong Ao as Killer Xiong and combined both nicknames as the Great Villains, they didn’t even get angry.

Yun Xiangxiang finally knew why Sun Qiluo wolfed everything down that night after a few days of filming.

Every day’s boxed meal consisted of one meat based dish, one vegetable based dish, and one soup. They tasted really bland, even if the dishes were different every day.

It was a stroke of luck when Yun Xiangxiang brought a lot of sauces with her when she came. She asked Wang Yong to make a ton of canned food after that too.

“It smells great. What is this?” Yun Xiangxiang finally couldn’t take it and whipped out her sauce and canned food. Sun Qiluo came over when she got a whiff of the aroma.

Everyone was in fact in the makeup room. Yun Xiangxiang didn’t plan to keep everything to herself, “They’re the sauces and canned food I asked someone to make.”

Yun Xiangxiang popped a bottle of mushroom sauce and a can of fish. They smelled spicy. She placed them in the center.

“It’s delicious!” Sun Qiluo helped herself to it. She immediately shoved her dishes aside and scooped a few spoonfuls of sauce before mixing it with her rice.

“You have to finish it after it has been opened. Everyone, please help out,” Yun Xiangxiang invited the three men when she saw them being shy.

So everyone took a few spoonfuls and just managed to completely finish the sauce.

“You’re just too smart, Xiangxiang. I’ll ask someone to make some when I go back. I’ll bring some with me during filming after that,” Sun Qiluo finished her meal feeling satisfied. She wasn’t scarce in her praise for Yun Xiangxiang.

“Not everyone can make sauces as delicious as this one,” Hou Cang knew how to cook too. He had some knowledge about making food.

“Is there a secret recipe, Xiangxiang?” Sun Qiluo asked quickly.

Yun Xiangxiang shook her head, “I don’t know either. This was made by the assistant I hired. I don’t know whether I can share it or not.”

“Forget it then. It’s probably a skill passed down by his ancestors,” Sun Qiluo thought that Yun Xiangxiang got this from somewhere else. She only asked because she knew that Yun Xiangxiang wasn’t making money using these skills.

Sun Qiluo naturally would not try to get the secret from someone who relied on their cooking skills for survival. This would be destroying someone else’s source of income.

“I brought a lot of them. Open two cans every day after this. They can last you a month. The new batch will be done once you finish these,” Yun Xiangxiang quite liked Sun Qiluo, so she added that.
