President’s Twins: Buy One, Get One Free Chapter 132: I Have a Gift for You

It was summer in Nanking city. The evening breeze caressed the trees tenderly after sunset.

Hayden was wearing a pair of 12cm heels, and he was heading to the hotel lobby. The moment she

walked out of the lift, she saw a familiar van stopped at the entrance. Joseph walked out of the car in a

business suit. He was buttoning his coat.

When Hayden was about to approach Joseph, she saw another woman walked out of the car after

Joseph.

Her outfit was low-key. She looked gorgeous even though she was only wearing a white T-shirt and a

pair of skinny black jeans. Her black cap and huge sunglasses seemed to be announcing her unusual

identity.

Hayden was stunned. She took a step back and hid in the corner of the lift lobby. A man and a woman

stood at the entrance of the hotel lobby like they were made for each other.

Viola helped to adjust Joseph’s collar. He didn’t seem like he wanted to resist her. Hayden couldn’t see

the emotion on Joseph’s face from where she stood. Viola stepped back into the car after Joseph said

something to her. Hayden saw there was a child in the car, and Voila stroked his head.

Hayden clenched her fists.

This was the important matter Joseph said earlier?

Hayden couldn’t help but imagine their conversation. She got angry.

“Let me adjust your necktie.”

“There many people here. Go into the car first. I’ll get my assistant to send you home.”

“Alright.”

“Take care of Noah.”

“Don’t worry. I will.”

“…”

Hayden watched as Joseph walked into the lift. She glared at the door of the lift, and almost plucked off

all the leaves of the plant in front of her out of anger.

Women tend to become irrational when it comes to an affair. If they didn’t get an explanation in time,

things might lose control.

Hayden waited for a while before she stepped back into the party hall again. However, she didn’t see

Joseph in the party hall.

“Hayden,” Jennifer woke her up from her anger.

“Yeah?” Hayden adjusted her emotion and turned around.

Jennifer held her hands passionately, “Mr. Beckham is back. He went for a discussion with my

husband. Come with me. I have something for you.”

Hayden followed Jennifer to her room.

There were three pieces of luggage on the floor. They have already packed their baggage.

“What’s the matter?” Hayden was worried, “Is there something wrong with the hotel?”

“No,” Jennifer smiled, “The hotel was great. Hans and I appreciate your hospitality. We love China.

Therefore, we decided to give you a gift. We promised you last night.”

Hayden recalled what Jennifer promised her last night. She felt surprised.

Jennifer handed a purple silk box to Hayden and looked at her in anticipation.

“Open it.”

The purple box seemed to be a vintage item. It was shaped rectangular, and it was only the size of a

palm. The brass lock on the box seemed delicate. Hayden saw an Emerald earring laid in the box after

she opened it.

Hayden stunned, “This is…”

“This is for you.” Jennifer tilted her head. She was in her 50s, but she looked charming. The way she

sat was elegant too. “When I first met you, and you told me to call you Natasha, I knew the earring was

made for you.”

“This is too expensive.” Hayden refused to take the gift.

Hayden didn’t know much about jewellery, but she knew that Hans and Jennifer were famous jewellery

collectors. The gift they give out won’t be affordable. She had only known Jennifer for half-a-month. It

was inappropriate to receive such an expensive gift.

Jennifer insisted. She continued speaking in inarticulate Chinese, “I have to give it to you.”

Hayden didn’t understand, “Why?”

Jennifer tucked her hair behind her ears. She walked to the cabinet and returned with a piece of a

black-and-white photo. There were two five to six-year-old children in it. The boy’s features looked

defined, and he had huge eyes. He seemed to be a Eurasian, while the girl looked like a Chinese doll.

“These are my children when they are young.”

“They are cute.”

Jennifer smiled bitterly, “Yes, they are. My daughter should be almost your age if she is still alive. She

might be getting married soon. My daughter, her name is Natasha.”

Hayden suddenly understood why Jennifer wanted her to have the gift.

No wonder that Jennifer never called her by that name.

“So, take the gift. Your eyes, they looked like Natasha’s. I know the Chinese call it ‘fate’. Am I right?”

There were tears in Jennifer’s eyes. Hayden thought Jennifer was always an approachable, humorous,

and elegant lady. She never thought Jennifer would experience such an awful thing.

Hayden didn’t want to ask further. She hesitated for a second before she took the earring out of the

box. She smiled and said, “I’ll take it, but can you put it on for me?”

Like putting it on for Natasha.

The Emerald on the earring was surrounded by tiny diamonds. It made the Emerald look greener like

water from the lake. The earring looked vintage and mysterious.

Jennifer was cheerful when she put the earring on Hayden. She explained, “I bought it in an auction

when I was pregnant with Natasha. It was supposed to be pair of earrings, but another earring went

missing. It is beautiful, isn’t it?”

Hayden looked into the mirror. She turned her head and saw the earring shining on her ear. She also

saw Jennifer was trying her best to hold her tears. Hayden quickly held Jennifer’s hand and nodded, “It

is beautiful. Natasha thinks it is beautiful.”

Jennifer covered her mouth, and her eyes went red. She hugged Hayden and sobbed, “Yes, my

Natasha liked it.”

After the party ended, the guests left the hotel by car. Hans saw the earring on Hayden’s ear before he

left. He looked at Jennifer with a surprised expression, but he never asked questions. Hans understood

what Jennifer was thinking very quickly. He then gently hugged Hayden and said, “Thank you.”

A complicated feeling rose in Hayden’s heart after sending Jennifer off.

Hayden was lucky to be able to find her son after five years, as compared to Jennifer. Her daughter

passed away in an accident. To be able to meet her son again was the only comfort for Hayden.

“Let’s go,” a familiar voice sounded beside her and woke her up from her thoughts.

Hayden couldn’t speak much when the guests were here, and she was on-duty. The red watch on her

wrist showed that it was after eight. Hayden asked, “Mr. Beckham, am I allowed to go off-work now?”

Joseph nodded, “Of course. Thank you for your effort. You should apply for leave for the next few days.

I’ll bring you to…”

“Thanks Mr. Beckham.”

Hayden showed her anger and stopped Joseph before he could end his sentence. She then turned and

walked into the hotel.

Joseph frowned and stared at her back for a second, then quickly chased Hayden.

Hayden started to pack her baggage right after she arrived in her room.

“You’re leaving?” Joseph was surprised.

Hayden didn’t even raise her head. She replied passively, “The job has ended, and Mr. Beckham has

approved my leave. What’s the reason I’m staying?”
