Returning from the Dead: His Secret Lover

Bang!

The moment Karl kicked the third door open, he saw the figure in the room.

However, before he could step in, there was an explosive sound, and an inferno burst out from within.

The colossal force sent him flying out of the room.

Sebastian stood stunned on his spot.

Before he had a chance to react, the heatwave from the explosion rushed toward him.

In an instant, he heard a buzzing noise, and a sudden force propelled him, who had difficulty standing,

two to three meters in the air before sending him crashing to the floor.

Thud!

A string of red liquid seeped out of his mouth, and his mind was at a loss.

How can this be?

He lay on the ground, watching a roaring flame burn the ceiling to embers. His eyes remained dazed

for a long time.

There was neither joy nor pain on his face.

Furthermore, it felt as if his brain had shut down completely, leaving it dark and empty. He could not

feel anything, not even pain.

“Sebastian! Sebastian!” Devin heard an explosion and led people to where Sebastian was.

A horrifying sight instantly appeared before him. Devin’s expression turned to shock, and he dashed at

rocket speed toward Sebastian, who was lying on the floor.

“Sebastian? Are you all right? Why are you here? Didn’t I tell you to wait at the top?” Devin’s voice

trembled when he saw the wounds all over Sebastian’s body and blood seeping out of his mouth.

Still, Sebastian did not say anything but stared above him in a daze. After a long while, he finally

moved the corner of his lips.

“What did you say?” Devin asked.

“The flower bloomed.” Devin leaned close to Sebastian and heard such senseless words from his

mouth.

Devin was stunned.

At this moment, a member of Devin’s team found Karl at the explosion site and shouted immediately,

“Major, Mr. Frost sustained severe injuries from the explosion!”

“What?” Devin was shocked.

He immediately ordered someone to watch over Sebastian. Then, he carried a gun and rushed to

Karl’s position.

The explosion site was a complete mess. Devin saw a bloodied Karl lying unmovingly in a corner. It

was hard to tell whether he was alive.

Furthermore…

When he looked into the intensely burning room, he suddenly noticed someone lying on the floor.

He saw something horrifying as he looked more closely. Devin saw half of a human corpse with its

arms and legs missing.

“Follow me in!” Devin gestured to his men and rushed in.

However, when he turned the body over, it was the person he least expected.

“Kingston?” He was so shocked that his pupils constricted.

I’m sure that this person is Kingston. However, it’s no longer a person but a corpse. Furthermore, the

corpse is incomplete.

Devin looked at the blood and gore all over the floor. He came here from an intense gun battle but

seeing such a bloody scene caused his heart to sink.

Knock… Knock, knock…

At this moment, a series of knocking sounds appeared within the explosion-wrecked room.

Devin looked up instantly toward the source of the knocking sound. He realized that they came from a

coffin under the rubble.

The coffin was scarlet-red. The force of the explosion had flung upside down and buried it beneath

cement debris and steel bars.

If not for the knocking sound, one would never notice the coffin.

“Both of you, come here!” Devin ordered.

Devin walked to the rubble and confirmed that the sound came from inside the coffin. Therefore, he

immediately instructed his two subordinates to pull the said coffin from the debris together.

They pulled hard and removed the coffin from beneath the rubble. Devin tried to lift the bottom of the

said coffin. Suddenly, he heard a weak voice from within. “Help! Help!”

Who is in there?

Devin immediately asked his two subordinates to lift the bottom of the coffin with him.

He planned to turn over the coffin.

Unfortunately, despite three young and strong soldiers putting in all their strength, they failed to turn the

coffin over. No one knew what it was made of, making it so heavy that they could not turn it over.

“Major, this won’t do. The coffin is made from unusual materials. I suggest we try lifting the bottom part

to create an opening, so the person within it can come out,” suggested one of Devin’s subordinates.

“I agree,” the other subordinate chimed in.

Upon hearing their suggestions, Devin immediately instructed them to lift each end of the coffin while

he knelt at the opening.

“Miss, can you hear me? If we lift the bottom of the coffin to form an opening, do you have the strength

to climb out?” Devin asked.

“Yes…” A weak female voice came from within.

Devin was stunned for a moment.

That voice sounds a little familiar.

However, he could not afford to spend time pondering over it. The moment he heard her consent, he

stood up immediately and lifted the coffin with his subordinates.
