Tried To Be Like Her
Half an hour later, Sabrina turned Tillie into a beauty once again.
“Look, you’re so pretty. Your face shape is unique. You need to put on suitable makeup, and you’ll
become gorgeous. Just follow the way I did today in the future.”
Sabrina deliberately brought a mirror in front of Tillie.
She did not praise Tillie out of courtesy, but she meant every word of her compliment.
Tillie looked into the mirror for a while. Right then, her gaze shifted away from the mirror.
“Ms. Sabrina, is that you in the picture over there?”
“Which one?”
Sabrina turned toward the direction Tillie was pointing.
“The one on the display stand. It looks like a magazine cover. Ms. Sabrina, is that you? You look like a
celebrity.”
Tillie’s eyes were filled with amazement and envy.
Sabrina’s face blushed red instantly.
“That’s a fake. I took it for fun a long time ago. I used strange styles back then as I liked to dress
differently from normal people. I’ve thrown lots of these kinds of pictures. Sebastian was the one who
insisted on keeping this,” Sabrina explained.
She was somehow embarrassed, recalling how high profile she used to be.
However, as she mentioned Devin being the one who kept her stuff, she uncontrollably displayed a
contented smile.
Tillie was rendered speechless.
That’s not strange at all. That’s the favorite type for most men, I suppose.
The gothic makeup made one look like a fairy. It emphasized distinctive color and promoted high-profile
wanton. A woman who had a perfect feature and great wealth like Sabrina had all the advantages to own
such a style.
Indeed, many men would fall for a woman like her. I heard that besides the two men in love with her
currently, there was even another man who had died for her.
“Ms. Sabrina, can I try that makeup?”
“Huh?”
Sabrina, who was already tidying up, was stunned momentarily.
The gothic makeup? She goes to the bar for work, not for fun. That seems inappropriate. Plus, I doubt if
her facial features suit this style.
With that, Sabrina rejected her. “You don’t need such a style. Your current makeup suits your face
perfectly. All right. Please go to work now. The customers will be there soon.”
She handed the skincare products to Tillie and escorted her out without delay.
Sabrina treated Tillie like family. That was why she acted so casually toward the latter.
However, little did Sabrina know that after Tillie got into her car, the latter did not leave at once.
The latter grabbed the steering wheel forcefully as her gaze stared at Red Pavilion for a long time.
Right then, Sabrina appeared on the second floor together with Jaena. They were sitting relaxingly in the
room, reading a storybook.
Tillie lifted her head and stared at them, her face devoided of expression. She grabbed the skincare
products that Sabrina gave her and threw them aside a moment later.
I don’t understand. She’s a woman who has given birth to a child. How could she still be so attractive in
other men’s eyes?
A moment later, Tillie drove off abruptly.
That night, after she got off work and returned to the Cooper residence, Edmund still did not come back.
As usual, the ones who were in the house were her mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, whose hobby
was to give her a hard time.
“Oh? So you’re finally back!”
The moment Tillie stepped inside the house, Violet uttered with sarcasm. She was the one who got
pregnant and requested the Coopers for a large sum of dowry.
It had been a few months since Tillie married into this family.
She had been tolerating with such family members endlessly, regardless of how tired she was.
“Yes, I’m back, Violet.”
“What are you waiting for then? Go and make supper for Mom. It’s already so late. She’s about to go to
bed.”
Here comes the ridiculous request again.
Upon hearing that, Tillie grabbed her handbag tightly, trying to suppress her emotion.
Supper! What nonsense is this? Why does this bunch of useless people need to eat supper? Obviously,
she’s the one who wants to eat it!
Tillie truly wanted to ignore her.
But as she thought about Edmund, she went to her room and got changed. Then, she headed toward the
kitchen.
“Tillie, I didn’t notice when you came in just now. Did you put on makeup today? It looks good. Alice,
what do you think?”
