They hung up the phone after that and started figuring out the way they should handle the situation.
“According to my friend over there, there was this Halloween event which was held three days ago.
During the event, a conflict happened between Helena and Vivian. That was when the scrimmage
ensued. In the midst of it all, Elaine fell onto the ground, and she got trampled on.” Edmund gave the
others a brief summary.
“Helena?” Suddenly, Sasha voiced out as she felt something suspicious. “Who is Helena? Why was
there a conflict between her and Vivi?”
Edmund continued, “She’s the daughter of a local duke. Apparently, they are funding the school as well.
In fact, earlier on, a conflict had already happened between them during Vivian’s first school test. It was
Solomon who went over to deal with it that time. Didn’t you guys hear about it?”
Just like that, Solomon’s name was, again, brought up under such circumstances. Sasha was stunned.
“When did that happen?” Sebastian snapped around to look at Edmund.
In the end, Sasha dug out some information from Solomon before they left for Yartran. The latter told her
about everything that had happened at the school, including the fight between Kurt and the thugs.
However, Solomon left out the fact that Kurt had defeated all of them on his own. He only mentioned that
he did station his own men there.
Sasha couldn’t help but tremble in anger as she was crying upon hearing that. “What sort of a rubbish
place is that? If only we had known, we wouldn’t have sent Vivi there. Even a school is so chaotic.”
Sebastian’s face was gloomy when he comforted her, “Don’t worry. We’ll find out more when we get
there.”
That evening, they arrived at Yartran on their private jet. Edmund’s friend was there to fetch them at the
airport. “Greetings, Mr. Hayes and Mrs. Hayes. Would you like to go to the hotel first or the school?”
“What’s the situation like at the school?” Sebastian asked with a gloomy expression.
Edmund’s friend then told him truthfully, “The situation there is okay now because we’ve informed the
school of your identity. Hence, they wouldn’t act rashly on Kurt. However, the Goldin family is not letting
this slide.”
“What a joke! We have nothing to do with Elaine. Why are they concerned?” Sasha snapped back.
“Actually, there was another student who was injured. He’s one of Helena’s people. Hence, the family is
now involved as well,” Edmund’s friend responded awkwardly.
He then added, “Besides, I’ve heard from the other students that Elaine had been following Helena
around as though she had cut ties with Vivian.” After that, the friend took out his smartphone to show
them the photos and information he had gathered at the school.
The whole time, Sebastian remained calm and composed.
Sasha, on the other hand, went berserk when she heard that Elaine had cut ties with Vivian. “How
ungrateful! Just like her mother. At first, she had gotten close to Vivi just so that she could enroll in the
school. Ever since then, she had been taking advantage of Vivi. After she had gotten in, she burned the
bridge and ended up sucking up to Helena just because they’re richer than us?”
“Mrs. Hayes…” Edmund’s friend tried to explain.
Sasha cut him off almost instantly, “Haha. Very well. Let’s wait and see.” Sasha coldly chuckled as she
was filled with pure rage.
Considering how infuriated Sasha was, Sebastian still remained silent. However, everyone knew that the
less he talked, the outcome of the whole situation would be even more catastrophic.
The two of them soon arrived at the school. They then split up and handled both sides of the situation
respectively. Sasha would go find Vivian and Kurt, while Sebastian would confront the school so that he
could put his status to good use.
“Mommy…” Vivian sobbed and ran toward Sasha when she saw the latter approaching. She had waited
by the door of the dorm for three days.
Kurt had been kept alone inside the dorm all along. When Sasha arrived, he, too, walked toward the
window and looked at her anxiously.
Sasha hugged Vivian tightly as she was heartbroken thinking about what her daughter had gone
through.
But at the same, she was impressed by Vivian. Since Vivian was little, everyone had been taking care of
her needs around the clock. However, throughout the three days that she had been waiting for her
parents, she held on unfalteringly just to protect her friend.
Because of that, Sasha was grateful for how Vivian had turned out. Oh, Vivi, you’ve grown up.
“Hush now, sweetie. Your Daddy is here now, and he’s dealing with your teachers as we speak. Don’t
you worry anymore, okay?” Sasha comforted.
While still sobbing, Vivian nodded. “Okay, sure.”
Sasha then looked toward Kurt through the glass window.
