What Is So Good About Him
Just what am I doing? I shouldn’t have come. It’s good that Ichika is getting married to my brother. Why
did I even ask Luke to get me a flight ticket?
Solomon found himself caught in a difficult situation only after he got on the plane.
He arrived at Terrandya, Jetroina after a few hours.
“Mr. Akiyama!”
Solomon’s men had come to the airport to pick him up right after they received news that he was
coming.
Solomon took a careless glance at the man who greeted him and handed his bag over. “How’s
everything over at Sinch Enterprise?”
“Everyone is busy with the wedding at the moment. Mr. Hiroshi brought Ms. Minamoto to the company
yesterday.”
“He did what?”
Solomon was piqued.
Sinch Enterprise was Yamada’s company, bringing the young woman over would be an official
announcement to the company that Ichika would be their future lady boss.
He remembered how Ichika used to go around Hayes Corporation with a little bun on her head. Back
then, everyone thought she would definitely get married to Solomon although Solomon himself had
never promised her anything.
No one had actually seen them together at the company.
He clicked his tongue and went right into the car, heading for downtown Terrandya.
Over at Sinch Enterprise, Hiroshi was in a phenomenal mood after bringing Ichika to the company the
day before. He was about to make an important announcement.
“Ladies and gentlemen, let’s have a meal at Hilton Hotel tonight. I want you all to officially welcome the
future Mrs. Tsurka.”
Everyone was electrified when they knew Hiroshi was treating them to a meal.
Hilton Hotel had a five-star restaurant in Terrandya. There was no way the normal employees could go
there and eat, so they were over the moon at the offer.
Everyone looked forward to the meal, and soon enough, the Minamoto family received an invitation as
well.
Ichika’s father was especially pleased by the arrangement.
“Hilton, you say? That’s great!”
Ichika was the only one who was unhappy about having a meal with Hiroshi. She had no feelings for
that man. She ran back to her room when she heard about it and locked herself inside.
“Ichika? Are you okay? Open up. It’s me.”
Her mother came over to Ichika’s room to comfort her when she saw her running away.
Ichika only had a sister. Since the family only had two children, the family was closely-knit. The parents
wanted Ichika to lead a happy and fulfilling life, but regardless of how Aoi pleaded, her daughter
refused to open the door.
Himari, Ichika’s older sister, happened to walk past. When she saw Ichika was being intractable, she
came over and knocked on the door.
“Ichika! Open the door! Mom has been waiting outside all this while. You need to stop being so childish.
Open the door!”
A noble family like the Minamotos adhered strictly to etiquette rules.
Children should respect their elders at all costs.
Ichika had no choice but to open the door.
She was still crying when she saw her mother. “Mom… I really don’t want to go…”
Before Aoi could say a word, Himari beat her to it. “Ichika, he’s your fiancé. You have to turn up if he
invites you. Besides, everyone will be there tonight. You can’t just bail on him. What will people say
about our family if you behave so disrespectfully?” she reprimanded her sister.
Ichika slumped to the floor at the door, crying like a broken doll.
Aoi sighed. It broke her heart to see Ichika like this.
Himari was the one who was supposed to marry Solomon in the first place. When the Tsurkas came to
propose a marriage between the two families, Ichika volunteered when she found out that they were
arranging a marriage for Solomon.
Since Ichika wanted to marry him, Himari gladly gave up the opportunity because she could not get
over the fact that Solomon was an adopted son. Not only that, but his mother was a mistress who
wreaked havoc in the family for three years too.
Himari did not think that was a good match for her, the first daughter of the Minamoto family.
That was how Ichika ended up getting engaged to Solomon.
It never once crossed her mind that Solomon would reject her.
“See, didn’t I tell you, Ichika? Someone like him will never do anything right. You should consider
yourself lucky. You’re marrying a true heir of the Tsurka family, not that bastard.”
Himari was about to exit the room when she gave her sister her final reminder. Before she reached the
door, Ichika, who had been crying at the dressing table, whipped her head around and glared at her
sister.
“Don’t you talk about him like that! He’s not a bastard. You should watch what you say!”
“Did I say anything wrong? He’s the one who sent you back.”
“I…”
Aoi decided to step in. “That’s enough! Himari, you should step outside for a while. Your sister needs to
get ready for the banquet tonight.”
As a mother, she did not want to see her children arguing among themselves.
The two went out, leaving Ichika alone to dress up.
Everyone in the Minamoto family got ready for the feast and headed to Hilton Hotel when it was dinner
time. Since it was a huge event, everyone was present, including Ichika’s grandfather.
