Chapter 348 - They will need photos to remember their childhood by. (3)

At the base.

The three noobs in romance were dining together at the canteen.

After dinner, Wen Rugui wiped his hands clean with his handkerchief and unwrapped his package in front of Zhou Yan and Huang Qimin.

Zhou Yan and Huang Qimin had noticed him bringing a package with him to the canteen earlier. They were both very curious. “Rugui, did you girlfriend mail you something again?”

Wen Rugui replied nonchalantly. “Mmm.”

Having said that, he pulled out a bag of jerky, showed that to Zhou Yan and Huang Qimin before he put it back.

Zhou Yan, “……”

Huang Qimin, “……”

So all he wanted to do was to gloat?

After the jerky, he pulled out the biscuits and put them back. Finally, he pulled out an enveloped and from it, three photographs.

Zhou Yan lifted his brows. “So you girlfriend finally sent you a photo? That’s a little late, don’t you think? Huang Qimin and I had ours a long time ago.”

Huang Qimin nodded.

Wen Rugui, “This is a photo of the two of us together. Would you like to see it?”

Two of them together?!

Zhou Yan and Huang Qimin were stunned.

It only took Tong Xuelu two days’ time to put her proposal together.

But, to avoid seeming too eager, she waited two more days before bringing that over to Minister Lin.

Minister Lin looked at her proposal and was impressed.

It was logical and well thought out.

Last time she had mentioned that the Commerce Department would not need to pay them extra. Now, in the proposal, she detailed out that the extra money would be handed into the Commerce Department and dispersed back to them in the form of supplement.

What a great idea!

That would legitimize having the others purchasing the spice packets from them.

Being so competent at her young age, it would be wonderful if she could come and work for him at the Commerce Department.

That was the thought going through Minister Lin’s mind. But he had no intention of bringing that up to Tong Xuelu just yet.

He wanted to spend some more time on observing her.

Minister Lin kept the proposal with him. He told Tong Xuelu that he would not give her an answer until after National Day.

Tong Xuelu expressed that she understood. She said goodbye to Secretary Zhuo and left.

She had thought that Wen Rugui would have some time off over National Day but he had to head to the experimental base.

The restaurant had two days off over National Day.

Tong Xuelu made some snacks and brought them over to Old Mr. Wen and Uncle Zong at the military compound. Uncle Zong was so emotional when he saw that he had his own share his eyes turned red.

She then brought her siblings with her to have their photos taken.

Surprisingly, a lot of people wanted their photos taken over National Day and there was a line at the photo studio.

Tong Mianmian leaned against her Big Sister and asked in a soft voice, her face blushing. “Big Sister, is Mianmian pretty today?”

As she spoke, she even twirled around before looking up at Tong Xuelu excitedly.

What a vain little girl.

Tong Xuelu found her comical. “Yes. Our Mianmian had on new clothes today and had her hair tied up into little pig tails. She is particularly pretty today!”

The little bun was so happy after she heard that that her face turned red and she smirked with her hand over her mouth.

Tong Jiaxin made a face with Mooncake in his arms.

Tong Xuelu did not want to bring Mooncake with them but Tong Jiaxin insisted on it.

Knowing that it could go out, Mooncake, the dramatic dog, whined for a long time as well.

Tong Xuelu finally agreed under the condition that he would look over Mooncake. She felt a bit regretful. How could they not bring Xiao Lu with them when they were taking a family portrait?

Nevertheless, it was still acceptable to go out with a dog. With a hen, however, that would be too comical.

Even though Tong Xuelu had said that each person must pay for their own portrait, but she still ended up paying for everyone at the end.

They had a family portrait taken; one with just Tong Xuelu and Tong Mianmian; one with Tong Jiaming, Tong Jiaxin and Tong Mianmian; and then one of each of them individually.

The bystanders, seeing how they had “splurged” to have photos taken, all looked at them with envy in their eyes.

Tong Jiaxin got a big head from that.

Tong Xuelu, on the other hand, felt that it would be very meaningful to have photos taken now so they could look back at them in the future.

Otherwise, they would have no photos to remind them of their past when they were adults and that would be regretful.
