Chapter 416 - That was murder through and through!

As Tong Xuelu was very busy with her life, as was Wen Rugui.

There was so much to do at the R&D base that Wen Rugui couldn’t even take any time off to attend Huang Qimin’s wedding at Capital City.

Same for Zhou Yan. Neither one of them were able to attend Huang Qimin’s wedding so they had to give him his gift in advance.

Huang Qimin was a little bummed but, thinking that he would soon be able to have a good time with his wife, he immediately forgotten all about his two bros.

The four happiest events in life are: rain after a long drought, running into an old friend at a foreign place, wedding night, and scoring well in an open examination.

Huang Qimin’s eyes were opened on his wedding night.

He experienced happiness that he did not think was possible and turned straight from a spring chick to an old rooster.

Having five days off for his wedding, he lived like a deity.

When he returned to the base after five days, he looked at Wen Rugui and Zhou Yan as though he was looking at two ignorant children.

He gave them his wedding candies that he brought from home. “Here, wedding candies for the two of you, so some of my luck can pass onto you.”

As he spoke, he stretched his neck in a very unnatural position.

As it was so unnatural, Wen Rugui and Zhou Yan couldn't help but noticed the red marks on his neck.

Wen Rugui frowned and said, “What’s with your neck? Are you breaking out from some kind of allergy reaction?”

Zhou Yan reacted even more strongly. He took a few steps back. “Dog Egg Huang, don’t tell me that’s chicken pox. If it’s chicken pox you need to let us know right away. That is highly contagious!”

“……”

Huang Qimin cussed silently.

What chicken pox!

Those were marks left by his wife when they were having a good time, alright?!

These two poor souls who didn’t know any better.

With the raise in Tong Xuelu’s salary, the quality of life as home also gone up.

They had to pace themselves having meat in the past. Sometimes once every three days even. They no longer needed to do that. The kids of the Tong’s ate so well that they were fattening up.

Tong Mianmian had a pink glow on her cheeks and made her looked particularly cute.

Truth was, they didn’t even need her salary. Commander Xiao had left with them several hundred yuan for their expenses before he departed Capital City.

After he had returned to the Northwest, he would send stuff like malt, milk candies, and all sorts of tickets and money occasionally.

Long story short, whilst he wasn’t able to be there in person, his thoughts and material goods were never lacking.

The mailman delivered a letter on this day and it was one from the Northwest troop.

Tong Jiaming and the others did not open the letter up. They waited for Tong Xuelu to get off work to read it together.

The letter was from their grandfather Commander Xiao. In addition to his warm words, he also mentioned matters with the Tong’s back home.

It was said in his letter that after some investigations, Tong Menzhi, their grandmother was forced into a marriage. And that pre-mature birth was no coincidence either. Tong Menzhi was shoved by Xie Jinhua and she bummed her stomach against the table corner. That was the only reason that she had given birth the same day as Xie Jinhua.

Had she not delivered pre-term and that she had been depressed, Tong Menzhi would not have died. That was murder through and through!

Had Xie Jinhua not did that, even if they had lied the previous time when he was there, Commander Xiao still would not have taken actions against them as they had saved his life in the past.

But, now that he had found this out, he could not do nothing about it. As such, he had his nephew set a trap. Xie Jinhua was no in the jail waiting for her execution.

Commander Xiao did not go into the details of how he had accomplished that. As for Xie Jinhua’s two sons, even though they were involved in the scam but they were not involved in what had happened many years ago.

Given that they were Tong Menzhi’s nephews and that their father Tong Laijun had also saved Commander Xiao, Commander Xiao did not target them.

As Xie Jinhua would be executed, Tong Erzhu and Tong Sanzhuang were both stunned beyond words. They would lay very low in the future. As long as they behaved themselves, Commander Xiao would not take any actions against them.

Commander Xiao moved Tong Daijin and his family from the Tong’s genealogy and they no longer had anything to do with the Tong’s from this point forward.
