Chapter 1734Chapter 1734
Austin glanced at her but said nothing. He had no energy.
"Shall I continue?" She asked.
"It's up to you." It was rare to hear such words from his mouth.
In the past, he had always doubted Lily. Even when he was starting to see her capabilities, he still
found ways to argue with her. That was his only way to show his knowledge and abilities.
When his life was at stake, his doubts about her disappeared. He had seen what Lily was capable of,
so Austin decided to follow his gut and trust her.
Lily pursed her lips, put on her mask, and went to get the needles.
Dominic had brought a fogging machine and began to disinfect the room. No one spoke. The only
sound in the room was the spraying of the disinfectant.
Austin found this a little strange. He was poisoned, not infected with the virus. Why was Dominic
disinfecting the room? However, at this moment, Austin did not want to ask any more questions, so he
closed his eyes again.
The warmth in his body gradually faded away. The cough had consumed much of his physical strength,
and he was weak now. Austin drifted off to sleep as he lay there.
After an unknown amount of time, he opened his eyes and found Lily gone. Instead, it was only
Dominic sitting beside him, reading a book. He wore his reading glasses and slightly squinted as he
read solemnly."Uncle Dom..." Austin opened his mouth. His throat was a little dry and still smelled of blood, but he felt
much stronger. After letting out a dry cough, he called again, "Uncle Dom..."
The old man looked up at him. "Huh, you're awake."
“H-How long was I asleep?" Austin looked around.
It was already dark outside. He did not know what time it was, but he was no longer tied up, and the
silver needles were also taken out. It seemed like everything was done.
“Not very long. Maybe about four hours," Dominic answered, looking at the time. "How are you feeling
now?"
Austin tentatively sat up and moved his body, only to feel that his arms and legs were much Looser
than before.
Per standard human logic, relaxed muscles would mean the person feels weak. However, in his case, it
was the opposite. Due to the overstimulation from of the drug, his body had been tense, with the skin
and flesh pulled apart.
That was why he still had a muscular build despite his sunken face. Now that his body was no longer
pulling at itself, the energy would be kept in the muscles, giving him more strength.
“I feel a lot better!" He said it in surprise. However, he didn't dare to use much force for fear that he
might be overjoyed and injure his own body.
novelbin"Well, it looks like everything is going well." The old man nodded, a little relieved. "I've cooked porridge
downstairs. I'll have someone bring it up for you. Once you eat, you can sleep."
