Five Poisonous Creatures
This centipede looked similar to the ones Matthew had caught previously.
However, the centipedes he had caught previously were too small, only an inch or two, while this
centipede was about a foot long. He had never seen a centipede of this size.
After the centipede came out, it crawled to the gunk that the man spat. It seemed like the centipede was
swallowing the gunk on the ground.
At the same time, the man’s pant leg moved a little before a little red snake slithered out while
something started hopping under his shirt around his chest area. After a while, a gray toad finally
managed to hop out.
Right then, a black scorpion crawled up from his hair before a tiny spider crawled out of the back of his
ear.
All five poisonous creatures seemed to be eager to consume the black gunk, one after another. As for
the man, he continued sitting on the ground with his legs crossed while laughing weirdly.
“Don’t think that you can fight us Orleanians just because you know how to detoxify yourself. Do you
really think that you’ll be able to save yourself once I use the five poisonous creatures? If you still refuse
to come clean about who you’re working for, you might as well start saying your last words!”
Still, Matthew’s face remained cold. “You’re actually using the five poisonous creatures against me even
though we don’t even know each other? You’re indeed a vicious man. Aren’t you afraid of tasting your
own medicines for bringing so many poisonous creatures along with you?”
Nevertheless, the man started laughing. “Do you think us Orleanians train ourselves so much to get
trumped up by our own?”
Matthew chuckled coldly. “That’s because you haven’t run into me yet!”
Then, he took a ceramic bottle out and poured some powder on the five poisonous creatures.
Suddenly, those creatures looked as if they were agitated before they started trembling and crying.
Immediately, the man’s facial expression changed, as he had never seen anything like this.
How could the poisonous creatures I’ve cultivated go on a rampage all of a sudden?
Then, the man whistled a tune as an instruction for the poisonous creatures to attack Matthew. However,
instead of attacking Matthew, all of the creatures pounced on him.
At this instance, the man’s face turned pale before he asked with a trembling voice, “What is happening?
What is happening?! You guys—”
Before he could finish his sentence, the red snake that had already crawled toward him bared its fangs at
him.
Shrieking, the man fell onto the ground as if all of his energy had been drained while Matthew merely let
out a soft gasp.
Immediately, the poisonous creatures stopped. It was as if they were under Matthew’s control.
Then, Matthew walked toward the man and threatened with a low voice, “Answer my questions if you still
want to live!”
Still, the man gritted his teeth before using the last of his breath to say, “I-I won’t say anything… Y-You
guys will never find her… Never… Orleans can only belong to my master…”
Upon saying that, the man’s head fell, and he kicked the bucket.
Matthew frowned, as he couldn’t help but think about everything that the man said just now.
The fact that the man questioned which clan Matthew was working for—as well as claiming that all 72
clan leaders of the voodoo clans came to Eastcliff—meant that something dangerous definitely
happened in Orleans.
He claimed that I’d never be able to find her, but who was he referring to? He also said that Orleans
belongs to his master. Who’s his master?
Matthew concluded a few points from what the man said.
The 72 clan leaders definitely came to Eastcliff to search for a person, and this man was here to stop
them from finding that person.
Matthew took a deep breath. What exactly happened in Orleans?
He initially planned to get some information from this man, but it seemed like this man was surely loyal to
his master.
After that, Matthew took some corpse dissolving powder out to decompose the man’s body to not alert
anyone else.
As for the five poisonous creatures, they were all kept by him as well.
