Confessing to Leanna
Tate did as Minerva said and rushed excitedly to Creative Cloud Group. Just when he arrived at the main
door, the security guard stopped him.
Leanna was quite stand-offish, so not everyone was allowed to enter Creative Cloud Group. Tate gave
the security guard a look.
“Hey, I came yesterday too. Did you forget about me? My dad is Jonah Campbell, the president of
Gonzalez Corporation’s branch office in Cathay. We have many business dealings with Creative Cloud
Group, and we just signed a contract yesterday…”
Tate went on and on, but the security guard remained indifferent, as if he had never heard of this guy
before.
In the end, Tate ran out of options, so he could only say, “I came with Matthew. Matthew Larson. Do you
remember him?”
Immediately, the security guard switched his attitude to respect and courtesy. “Oh, you’re Mr. Larson’s
friend! I’m so sorry for the rudeness earlier. Um, is there anything you need? Perhaps I can ask the
receptionist to arrange it for you?”
No way! You must be kidding me! Dude, after everything I wasted my breath on, nothing compares to
Matthew’s name?
I meant more as Matthew’s friend than I did as the son of Jonah, president of Gonzalez Corporation’s
branch office in Cathay?
What the hell?
Tate complained in his mind, but he dared not say anything aloud in case the security guard chased him
away.
Following the slight delay, the security guard took him to the receptionist. Once the receptionist heard
that Tate was Matthew’s friend, she immediately put a smile on her face and welcomed him warmly.
Tate wasn’t feeling too great about it, but still, he did as his sister had told him. “Look, Matthew has
something to attend to, so he asked me to come and meet President Sandel.”
With that, he anxiously looked at the girl. He didn’t know if he would be allowed to see Leanna just by
bringing up Matthew’s name.
However, to his relief, the girl immediately replied, “Please wait for a moment. I’ll give President Sandel a
call!”
The girl really wasted no time in getting to work. After a short while, she put down the phone and smiled
as she said, “President Sandel will be waiting for you upstairs. This way, please.”
Urgh! This is so frustrating! Lucia visited this company so many times, but she couldn’t even get a
meeting with Leanna.
But I only had to say Matthew’s name, and I could get a pass to see Leanna just like that?
With these thoughts in his mind, Tate went up to the building. He carefully tidied up his hair while he was
in the elevator, and when the elevator stopped, Leanna’s secretary was already waiting at the door.
“Greetings. This way, please.”
The secretary brought Tate to Leanna’s office.
Leanna was sitting at her desk. She was wearing a fiery red dress today, which was quite a rare sight.
The dress complemented her perfect figure, so she looked even more elegant today.
Even though she still emanated the imposing aura, she now looked more like an alluring beauty than
anything.
Tate’s breath was taken away at the sight of her.
What profound charm!
Tate could feel the passion burning inside him. She’s so beautiful! So what if she’s two years older than
me?
Leanna glanced at him. “What business did Matthew ask you to come here for?”
Tate brushed his hair back and struck a pose he thought was the coolest. Then, he smiled as he said,
“Miss Sandel, it’s actually nothing too important.”
“After meeting you last time, I was so enamored that I kept thinking of you ever since, and that was why I
came to visit you today. I apologize if this was all too sudden!” Tate’s words sounded like he had been
rehearsing them for a while.
He wanted to appear gentlemanly in front of Leanna, and he also had to clarify how much he admired
her.
Moreover, he had many years of experience, so he knew it very well. When you confess to a woman,
even if she didn’t like you, she would still be elated.
Because that was proof of her charm!
As he finished his sentence, he raised his head with a slight smile. He was eager to see Leanna’s
reaction.
However, the moment he looked up, the only thing that greeted him was an object which was previously
on Leanna’s desk. It was now hurling toward him, and then it landed squarely on his face.
