“Fortunately, she isn’t seriously hurt,” Gabe instantly explained after observing Wayne’s annoyed
expression.
“She shouldn’t bite off more than she can chew,” Wayne grumbled as he remarked on Anna’s actions.
He stood up after closing the folder. “Which hospital is she in?” he said as he put on his jacket.
“Huh?” Gabe then was puzzled. He felt regretful right away and wished he could go back in time and
beat himself up.
I shouldn’t have been a blabbermouth! I’m so screwed, he thought to himself.
“I was just asking which hospital she is in.” Wayne glanced at Gabe, then impatiently repeated his
question.
Gabe stammered for a few seconds, and then replied, “She’s…well; she’s not in any hospital.”
“What? So, where has she gone?”
“Well, Jasper took her away.” Hearing that, Wayne looked even more irritated.
When Gabe saw Wayne’s sullen expression, he felt terrified. He then asked, “Mr. Wright, are we still
going out?”
“Of course,” Wayne said, his fists clenching.
Gabe asked, puzzled, “Oh? Really? Well, where should we go? You know, Miss Gabriel isn’t staying in
a hospital. Is it okay if we go to Jasper’s house? In fact, I don’t believe we should. How about you give
her a call in advance?”
“What are you talking about? Do you mean there’s nothing more I can do but search for her?” Wayne
asked in a frigid tone. He gave Gabe a threatening look.

wound. Then, she covered it with her hair.

Jasper smiled, reached out and pinched Tammy’s cheeks. He said, “Oh, Anna, it’s not about the

“Wayne, where are you going?” she asked, looking up in amazement toward the distant.
Wayne strode across the stage in the middle of the hall, and even pushed aside a waiter who was in
his way. He looked extremely upset and walked straight to a table on the opposite side of the room.
