Emily’s surgery had been completed by the time she arrived at the hospital. Anna wasn’t rushing to go
to the ward; she even bought a bouquet of flowers from the store downstairs.
When Anna walked into the ward, Emily was reading a magazine.

Hearing that, Emily sprang up from her bed in a panic. Anna grabbed her by the shoulders and yelled,
“No! Don’t move! Your wound has not healed yet.”
Emily said anxiously, “No! Don’t do that! “
Anna teasingly chuckled, “Oh? Why?”
Emily blushed immediately and responded honestly, “Because | like him.”
Ryan opened the door just as Emily finished speaking. He came in holding a bag of cakes and didn’t
appear to hear what they were saying. “What did you just say? You like what?” he asked as he set the
bag on the bed.

Ryan froze and then remained still for a long time.

Ryan didn’t move as if he was frozen, and it took a long time for him to stand up straight. He shifted the
