When Petty heard that Nicole got angry with Zac and entered emergency room, she was extremely
anxious.
She got up and was about to leave when she heard Elvis say coldly, "If you don't want your mother to
suffer too much, you'd better be obedient."
Petty instantly stopped.
She turned around and looked at the man in front of her who was her father. Her chest heaved as she
breathed with anger.
"Elvis, that's your wife! How can you be so cruel?"
"Pay attention to your words. Anyhow, I gave you life. Petty, how can you call me by name? You should
call me father."
"Are you qualified to be a father?"
Petty sneered, but tears dropped out from her eyes.
"If you were really a father, you shouldn't have threatened me with my mother's life and let me do those
things to hurt my cousin. You shouldn't have coerced my husband to do those bad things, and treated
me like this for the sake of that experimental subject."
Elvis suddenly stood up and slapped on Petty's face.
"Bastard, he's not an experimental subject. He's my son! He's Elvis' son, Gerry! He's much better than
Samuel. Furthermore, Samuel isn't your cousin. He's your biological brother! He is your half-brother, do
you understand?"
Petty fell on the sofa. Her face was burning with pain. But her heart was much more painful.
"You also know that he is your biological son. But now you actually treat him like this for a experimental
subject."
"Although Gerry is an experimental subject, he has my blood and my genes in his body. He obeys me.
He is filial to me and is much better than you and Samuel."
Hearing Elvis' words, Petty laughed.
"Obey? Are you sure he's a complete person? Only dogs obey you. Brother and I both have our own
thoughts. You can't control us, so you have to create a son, right? Elvis, you are a freak! You are a
lunatic. You deserve to be struck by lightning and sent to the bottom pit of hell. You are simply not
qualified to be a human!"
Petty was about to go crazy with anger.
She had lived under Elvis' control for so many years, doing what she did not want to do, and even
doing those bad things to Samuel and Nicole against her conscience. Now, she just wanted to live a
normal life with Zac, but why was that so difficult?
Hearing Petty cursed at him, Elvis sneered and said, "Continue. You are jealous, right? You are jealous
that I care more about Gerry than you. Just because you are a daughter. What can I do since your
mother gave birth to a useless daughter? In the Green family, everything will be inherited by a son. A
daughter will finally marry someone. If I don't take advantage of you now, you will bring all your values
to your husband's family. "
Petty didn't know how to communicate with Elvis.
He was well-educated, but he favored sons over daughters. This kind of feudal thought had been
deeply rooted in his mind.
Samuel was his son, and during the past several years, Elvis had high expectations on him. He
expected that Samuel could become his obedient son. Unfortunately, he was disappointed in the end.
On the contrary, Gerry, the experimental subject that he had nurtured, made him very satisfied. He also
met his requirements for an obedient son. Therefore, Gerry had grown up with his love in the past few
years.
Now that Gerry had been sent to the detention center by Samuel, this hit Elvis hard. He almost
suffocated with great pain. No matter what to do, no matter who would be sacrificed, he had to save
Gerry and bring him back.
He couldn't lose this son!
No way!
Petty felt that Elvis had a psychological distortion. She wanted to resist, to be free, and to live her own
life, but she was incompetent. So far she had not found her mother.
Elvis hid her too deeply. In her entire life, she only talked to her mother on the phone for a few times
and saw her through a few video talks. But every time she saw her mother's face was beaten black and
blue.
In Petty's heart, Elvis was not a human at all!
He was a beast!
No!
He was inferior to a beast!
Now Elvis' eyes were glittering with madness. Petty was so smart that she didn't say anything to
enrage him.
She wanted to preserve her strength and escape at the right time. She would not be controlled by Elvis
any longer.
This thought supported her and made her completely calm down.
Seeing that she was quiet, Elvis snorted coldly and walked aside to contact people.
Zac became famous because of Nicole's scheme. People looked at him strangely when he went out.
But he didn't care.
He returned to the Green's and made a mess. Then, he left regardless of people's interception. This
matter had spread across the entire Seapolis City. Everyone was cursing at Zac for being ungrateful
and heartless.
Elvis was happy to see this on the live broadcast. He said to Petty, who was staying beside sadly, "Did
you see that? This is the power of love. This foolish boy even threw away his reputation for you."
"Do you know what love is?"
Petty looked at Elvis with resentment and asked.
Elvis paused for a moment, then said coldly, "Of course I know, but why should I discuss this with you?"
"Do you love my mother?"
Elvis fell silent.
He didn't want to say anything about that woman.
Perhaps because Petty's words made him feel a little depressed, or because of something else, he
stood up and walked out of the room. The outside was very cold, but it gave him a sense of relief.
Petty wanted to break free from the rope, but it was so tight, so she couldn't make it.
At dusk, Zac gathered a group of people and brazenly headed towards the detention center.
Elvis watched the live broadcast and frowned slightly. "Is your man an idiot? What is he going to do?
Break into the jail?"
Petty's heart tightened.
Zac mustn't do anything stupid.
However, neither Petty nor Elvis could stop Zac.
Zac seemed to be crazy as he directly broke into the detention center with his people. Then he
snatched Gerry out, pulled him on the van and ran away.
Everyone in the detention center was stunned.
After all, they had never seen such a bold person. By the time they could react, Zac had already driven
far away.
"Chase!"
The director was infuriated.
This was an arrogant provocation!
When Zac saw that someone was chasing after him, he quickly turned a corner.
Because of the dead end of the video, Elvis could not see the following scenes. But when Zac's car
showed up again, he had already got rid of the people behind him.
Elvis was finally relieved.
"He's a ruthless man. Not bad. He's much better than his parents."
Petty stared at the video. Her eyes were full of tears.
She was the one who harmed Zac!
It was all because of her!
Petty felt extremely guilty. She tried hard and finally broke the rope. Then, she quickly freed her hands.
Elvis was still staring at the video. Petty gritted her teeth and looked at the guards outside. It seemed
difficult for her to escape, but if she kidnapped Elvis, could she have a chance of success?
Petty thought in her heart, but she didn't expect that Elvis suddenly turned around and looked at her.
"What are you going to do? Do you want to kill your biological father? Petty, do you want to rebel me?"
Seeing that Elvis had already discovered it, Petty hurriedly made a move, intending to quickly subdue
him. However, she did not expect that Elvis was very nimble. When she attacked, he feinted and
grabbed Petty's wrist. Then, Petty was thrown to the wall.
Petty felt that her bones were about to fall apart. Although the carpet beside the wall was soft, she still
felt very depressed.
Elvis said coldly, "Don't think that you can be arrogant in front of your father with just some skills. It's
quite easy for me to kill you. Remember that your man will trade with me later. If you make any trouble,
I can't guarantee that your man can leave alive."
Hearing Elvis' words, Petty was scared.
"Don't hurt him!"
"Then be obedient!"
Elvis did not tie her up anymore and turned around to stare at the video.
Zac and Gerry were about to enter his territory.
Elvis picked up the walkie-talkie and said to his people, "Open the door and let him in."
Petty was about to see Zac, but she became even more uneasy.
If Zac came here alone, could he really leave safely?
Elvis was not a human at all, nor would he show mercy to Zac for her sake. Zac shouldn't have come!
He was throwing himself into a trap!
But it's no use talking about this now.
Petty knew that Zac was worried about her.
She could only take a deep breath and store her strength, waiting for Zac. Even if she risked her life,
she would still send Zac out.
Thinking of this, Petty fell silent and became much more obedient.
Elvis glanced at her and said coldly, "Don't play tricks on me. Otherwise, your mother will suffer a lot."
He threatened her with her mother again!
Petty hated it, but she couldn't do anything about it.
Growing up in an orphanage, she always longed for her parents' love. She couldn't forget the warmth of
her mother in the videos. However, she couldn't even protect herself.
She had been working hard to improve herself for so many years. She expected that one day she could
save her mother and give her the life she truly wanted, so that she could take on the responsibility of
being a daughter.
Right now, this wish had not been realized, but Zac was involved in. Petty knew that she should have a
trade-off. Her heart was in great pain, but she had no choice but to save Zac.
If Elvis did something to her mother after she saved Zac, she would die with her mother.
With this determination, Petty lowered her head and prepared to attack.
The sound of a car engine came from outside. Petty knew that Zac was coming.
Her heart was in her mouth.
